I was almost ecstatic when I saw there was another author publishing a FF Omegaverse story! After reading the book I'm sad to say I'm less enthusiastic. I've waited with reviewing because I had a lot of mixed feelings after reading this book.
This short story is about Lia (omega) and Amira (alpha), both werewolves. They are best friends until Lia presents as an omega. They have to figure out what will happen between them from that point on.
After reading lots of fanfic FF omegaverse and a couple of very good published FF Omegaverse, I was surprised by the content of this story. In omegaverse, sexual activity plays a big part. And it Is a big reason my dirty mind enjoys those books and particularly those scenes in those books. There is one vague kind of sex scene in this short, but not what I was hoping for. It seemed that one of the mc's is asexual. I can applaud an author for working with asexual characters in a romance, as they are there in real life and are not very broadly represented in romance novels. But making that combination with an FF omegaverse story, you should have at least let that know in the book blurb.
Also naming this an FF Omegaverse is a stretch on the category. If you'd just called it a werewolves book with alpha and omega dynamics, it comes closer to the truth.
Had I know that I would have had a better read. Now I was slightly disappointed. Besides that, it was a decent read for the price (I paid 0,99 in the pre-order).
If you plan on reading this for the sexual content of omegaverse, I advise picking a different book.

Thank you to NJ Lysk for letting me know about their FF omega verse story featuring an asexual MC. This book would not have necessarily been on my radar if not for them reaching out to me.
Lia and Amira are wolf shifters and this takes place in an ABO-verse world. Lia presents as an omega, and her friendship with Amira will be forever changed. Although the attraction is there and both women feel very deeply for the other, Amira is also asexual and the two must figure out how to make a wolf alpha/omega pairing work.
This is a short story read that focuses on the beginnings of a new relationship for the two women. I am a bit unclear on their ages - often in ABO stories I feel like people present as their class as early teens, and there is a HFN type ending as the two admit their feelings and decide to go for it. I would have loved more time with Lia and Amira as they truly worked towards a permanent relationship.
Honestly, one thing that threw me off the most is that this story ends at the 75% mark of the overall story (kinda a growing pet peeve of mine, when the story ends and there is a chunk of promo or excerpts from other stories in e-books). Overall, I give this story 3.5 stars, and thank you to the author for sending it to me!

Yeah! Finalmente una novella omegaverse in chiave FF che non mi ha fatto schifo! Mi sento e ho voglia di festeggiare perché questo libro mi è piaciuto e contro ogni aspettativa mi ha emozionato! Non mi sarei aspettata di amarlo perché essendo breve, più una novella che un romanzo, temevo non avrebbe creato la giusta atmosfera riducendosi a puro sesso istintivo e legato al fattore omegaverse e invece no! YEAH! Questa storia è stata dolcissima fin dal primo istante, una storia di amicizia e amore, pura e sincera. Lia e Amira fanno parte di un branco e per molto tempo hanno vissuto la loro vita in modo semplice, credendo di essere delle beta e poter fare quello che volevano senza essere vincolate dagli ormoni e dalle gerarchie. Quando Amira ha scoperto di essere un lupa Alfa si è ritrovata a vedere il mondo da un altro punto di vista ma questo non l'ha scoraggiata e le ha impedito di vivere la sua vita in compagnia di Lia, contando sulla sua amicizia e supporto. Una stabilità che si è rotta improvvisamente quando anche Lia ha manifestato la sua vera natura, quella di Omega. Se Amira ha avuto la fortuna di continuare a vivere una vita normale al punto di progettare la sua carriera scolastica futura, la stessa cosa non potrà ahimè succedere alla povera Lia, che in quanto a omega dovrà vivere secondo concetti e regole più rigide e trovare per forza di cose un compagno o una compagnia alfa con cui legarsi e con cui affrontare i calori che la colpiranno. Una scoperta shock e traumatica che porterà non poche conseguenze nel legame. Le due giovani hanno sempre condiviso una forte amicizia ma dentro di loro, hanno sempre anche provato sentimenti più puri e genuini, un amore sincero e desideroso di manifestarsi. Lo sviluppo di questa nuova dinamica sarà fondamentale per far uscire finalmente quei sentimenti e quell'amore nascosto da così tanto tempo. Ho amato la caratterizzazione di entrambe le ragazze e come sia stato creato in background un percorso che si sente e percepisce. Le due ragazze sono amiche, sono confidenti e questi sentimenti sono puri e palpabili. Mi è piaciuto vedere la loro incertezza e paura nel trasformare quel legame in qualcosa di più profondo. Lia ha paura non solo per i sentimenti che prova ma anche per la consapevolezza che come omega non potrà più fare quello che vuole dovendo sottostare alle regole di un alfa in grado di controllare i suoi istinti e metterla in secondo piano, non potrà più essere forte e indipendente e teme di perdere una parte della sua anima, ha paura che l'amica possa cambiare e vederla solo come una semplice omega e non come Lia. Amira condivide questa paura, per lei essere una lupa alfa non era un problema ma ora teme di sopraffare la compagna, di essere guidata troppo dagli istinti e di non poter dare all'amata quello che vuole. Amira è una ragazza asessuale ed è consapevole che non potrà mai dare a Lia quel rapporto totalizzante che merita. Il rapporto tra le due giovani è perfetto e ricco di emozioni, molto dolce e pieno di affetto. Un rapporto che si è creato con gli anni e che finalmente può sbocciare. Ho amato il modo in cui è stata data importanza all'asessualità e come sia stato dimostrato che non importa per forza voler fare sesso in una storia per essere felici, come non bisogna sentirsi diversi o inferiori ma che basta solo essere amati e capiti per poter trovare la propria felicità. Nonostante sia breve questa novella riesce perfettamente a dare tutto al suo lettore, a farlo sognare e innamorare di due ragazze comuni ma allo stesso tempo speciali. Mi sono innamorata delle atmosfere e spero ci sarà in futuro modo di rivedere Lia e Amira perché meritano di avere più spazio. Una novella dolcissima e leggera, consigliata ai fan degli omegaverse, agli amanti degli ff e a chi vuole una lettura non troppo impegnativa ma ricca di significato!

Lia and Amira are best friends and members of the same wolf shifter pack. When Lia presents as an omega she feels like her life is out of her control. The only person she can always count on is her best friend, Amira, who happens to be an alpha and would do anything for her. Both women have feelings for each other but have never acted on them.
I really really love shifter and omegaverse books. I find the dynamics between alphas, betas and omegas fascinating. Amira and Lia’s story was so beautiful. I was able to connect with them and care for them instantly. I loved the dynamics and the chemistry between them. I loved how their story evolved and how honest they were with each other even when it was hard. I couldn’t put the book down and I didn’t want it to end. I loved every single word.

So. Wow. I don't know what to say but .... I kinda loved this??? Like ??? Gimme more????
So, for context: I don't read Alpha/Beta/Omega books or fanfictions because while I do love werwolves, I don't love the sex-focus this universe has. The Omega-Verse has always been way too kinky and dub-con for me.
So why - you might ask - in Gods name would I ever willingly, freely and without torture buy and read an Omega-Verse book?
It's simpel:
a) I'm currently doing an asexual reading challnge and this book fits into the WlW bingo slot
b) It's asexual.
Especially b) made this a very very VERY interesting book. I always thought that being ace in such a society must be the worst thing in the entire world. (I'm ace and sex-repulsed and if I were an Omega ... boy. It would be the worst)
But, ace rep in fanfics is rare. Ace rep in Alpha/Beta/Omega fics non-existent. Or so, I thought.
The concept alone was so promising I couldn't possibly miss out on this book.
So I bougt it and prayed it wouldn't be too smutty. I'm laughing. Because the heat-level was so low I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
This book was - dare I say it - kinda wholesome and honestly? If this ever gets a sequel of any kind, I'm in. Sign me up, please.
This books biggest strenght is it's awareness. The author is a proffessional. They know what they're doing and what Omega-Verse Readers would expect and they take that and play with the trope and it's so beautiful I can't even.
The relationship was really cute as well. It's just a short little story, but it was enough to make me ship it. Well done.
The ace rep was beautiful too. I don't know if this is own-voices or nah, but it almost feels like it, because the rep is so well done. It made me really happy.

I'm taking away 0,5 stars because I'm picky and because I would have loved to see more of the asexual struggle of 'being ace in a world that forces you to have sex'.
Funny how this could have easily made my cry and sob on the floor if the author had decided to make the asexual an omega. God, could you imagine?
(Not that I'm incouraging you, but If you ever were to write such a story, do tell. I'm ready to cry myself to death)
Anyways, surprisingly amazing book that I was not expecting to like and that managed to win me over by being wholesome, stunning and just plane wonderful.

I really liked it from the start…
And then as the dialogue needed to really be fleshed out to be understood, it faltered. The dialogue where it was the most important came out stilted and needed more substance for those of us that are peeking into the lives of Amira and Lia. Especially when one of the two is establishing a sexual orientation of being asexual.
How is the omega Lia suppose to understand the needs or not of the alpha called Amira if she is poor at explaining it? When the omega’s call is high, how in the world can she meet that demand when the heat rises? I know she said she would help, but how when at this time she can barely articulate what it’s like for her?
During the most heated moments between them, Amira confused me. I am sure it is tough to present as alpha and then your best friend/soulmate presents as omega. Lia is fully sexual/sensual as denoted how easily her ardor increases with sexual/sensual intimacy and Amira’s stays the same. How can this be reconciled without Lia at some point feeling as if her needs and desires makes the other one uncomfortable and has to play this delicate dance? Their unequally yolked and this union is flawed. The orientations don’t match even when the author writes that Amira feels and knows this is her “mate” as her wolf spoke it.
I would have given it at least 4 stars because it was interesting even if it didn’t add anything new about alphas or omegas aside from a wolf being asexual. That hasn’t been heard of before. But it continues the depiction of Omegas being sort of powerless in and of themselves. I like the author Domina Alexandra’s take on Omegas. The storyline here is different and interesting but the dialogue articulation of what they are conveying is too short, sentence stops, and lacks enough for the reader to follow and understand completely.
The ending needs more work. It ended weird and abrupt. It is hard to guess what would come next naturally. It either needed to be a little longer or part of a true short series about these two characters.

I enjoyed this novella. There isn’t a ton of Asexual representation out their. I enjoyed the authors take on an ACE MC in an Omegaverse F/F story. It wasn’t expected but very much enjoyed. My only issue is the length. I would have liked a more in depth story. It felt so rushed. I would have liked to have more time with Amira and Lia. To see how their relationship continues to develop and how they feel as things progress. I look forward to more from the author.

It is an interesting story, my first from this author. Amira is best friend of Lia and want to help her, when she presents as Omega. Both have strong feelings but have never acted on them, so they surprised each other when they discovered it.
It is a short book or novel. I would like to read more about them, what will happen and will Amira still be able to be Lias partner? How will they manage the expectations the others have of them? I hope there will be a sequel of them.

Over all it was... eh.
Couldn't really tell the two POVs apart. A bit sad because I'm usually so stoked when it comes to FF Omegaverse but this just kind of missed the mark.
Liked the exploration of an asexual character in the omegaverse, which is usually a sex-centric world, but again it was kind of dampened when Lia and Amira just kept on blending together and become a bit indistinguishable to me.

Short and sweet
I really liked this story.
I thought the ace representation was super well done. I would love to see more of these characters! But I was pleased with the conclusion here too.

The BEST Alpha/Beta/Omega book I have ever read in my entire life.
What does it mean for an asexual to life in this kind of society?

Absolutely loved it, thank you N.J.! I love wolf shifters! An FF, we get the female perspective this time, best friends Amira (alpha) and Lia (omega) turn lovers. Very emotional. Coming to terms with who you are, not who you want to be. A few twists and surprises. An excellent read!
