This book is a wonderful shadow work companion. The exercises are fun and easy to follow. The book itself is well laid out and broken down so concepts are completely comprehensible to everyone. Highly recommend.
This book is a good introduction to self-care and spirituality. Goddesses are used as archetypes while exploring topics such as shadow work, setting boundaries, discerning gifts and values, healthy relationships and goal-setting. This is not a pagan or goddess religion book. Spiritual tools such as energy work, crystals, astrology, yoga and meditation are presented as options for the personal self-care toolkit. While the author does acknowledge trauma and mental health issues, this book doesn't dig too deep. Rather it is a nice overview with a supportive and empowering tone, presenting a range of options for self-exploration and personal growth. If you've been on this path for awhile, this may not be the book for you. This book would be appropriate for someone in their twenties, helping them navigate the transition into adulthood and self-directed living and spirituality.
Amazing book. Devoured it. Hilighted half. Noted another third. Will read again. Love the mix of healin, psychology, women strengthening and rebuilding. No shaming. No excuses.
Absolutely stunning book!! Filled with amazing resources journal prompts and wise words for you to take care of yourself, because you can’t pour from an empty cup! I loved it so much
This was a great book. It really helped me change my mindset. I was able to journal about things that have been bothering me, and also journal about things that I have already accomplished. I set some goals for the year to help heal my shadows and become a better version of myself. It follows right along with everything I have been reading in my witchcraft and chakra books. I can't wait to get into the guided journal. Five out of five stars.
This book had a lot of tools that you could use for self care but I could have done without the references to Greek, Hindu, and other types of mythological Goddesses
This was a quick and easy read! To me personally, nothing felt revolutionary BUT it was a nice compilation of information I’ve learned along my journey.
There were some good reminders in this, but overall I was disappointed in this book. It was more self-helpy than it was self-care. And she barely mentions anything about the goddesses.
Very eye opening and made me realize how much we as humans crave external approval and attention. We also let out inner voice control much more than we realize. Self improvement doesn’t happen overnight it’s a long but very good road to take
