Did not finish it
Well, where to start. I think when they strung her up and started throwing darts at her to be impaled is when I gave up and figured the book had no merit. This just wasn’t for me. I could get past the spanking etc that was going on at first. Okay he had to discipline her and make her his pet in private etc. okay, I could kinda go along with this. But this being his fated mate he takes her to the mess hall and puts her on display nude so other men can see her, touch her and then hit her with darts and these darts hit her in private areas. Her breasts and her nether regions. This is just way too dark and far fetched for me. Thank goodness I didn’t grab the ARC for book two because it seemed interesting and I figured I’d read book one first. If this is your kind of book, and it seems like it is for a lot of people considering the reviews then more power to you. It’s not for me. I don’t get my rocks off by abusing my women then have them fall in love with me after I let my crew cause them pain and see them nude. Yeah no, not for me. If I could give it 0 ⭐️I would.

ARC Review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a awesome story I found I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Brana is a reaper ( ishana) war chief of the sykl clan . When looting the brutus of the Helios combine he find the slave larkyn a companion that was matched with there captain on the ship .

Amazing start to a new sci-fi series. The ship Lalyn is on his raided by Reapers and she is taken by Brama to be his. Sparks begin to fly between them and he know that she is his mate. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, steam and intense chemistry. Great characters and an entertaining fast-paced read. I liked it.

Interesting world build
I was curious about this story because the reviews were split in half. The story was interesting and the characters as well. The world was new with these Reapers. They are vicious as you would imagine. Their saliva has healing properties. The discipline is not for the faint of heart and some liberties are taken, so you have to suspend some reality to keep reading and be okay with the treatment and the intimate scenes. There is a cringe worthy scene where the lead male goes from the first time inside the bottom to the inside the mouth and back to inside the V and just no. As I read it, there was just too much spreading of bacteria , blood, and small waste particles to enjoy the scene. Otherwise this story was good and stayed in the troupe of strong Reaper alien and kidnaps human female for own personal use and to serve a Master with a twist of fated mate.

Her 📚books are more about the character's place in their strife torn universe. The very ADULT romance💕 is secondary to the overall story. Author 📚Storm's books are the best of the best in this genre!
But what a romance💕 it is! Brama🐺🍆⛲💪🔫🔪 is the smart, forward thinking 👑King , and at the same time, he is a vicious Warrior👺💪🔫🔪 who can easily kill his enemies in the most hideous ways. His third side is his total 💘love and devotion for his mate Lakyn💃💋, and his need for total control over her. Luckily, Lakyn💃💋 loves 💘it too!
This book does end in a cliffhanger......leading into a book about a new Reaper leader called Rul🐺💪🔫🔪.
Basically, these novels are stand alone 📚books in the vast Athenaverse💫. There is a prologue in each book that explains the different factions, so the reader understands how everything works.

Overall I liked it. I am just very confused about how the "Reaper's Property" series connects to the "Reaper's Pet" series.
I tried going to the author's website and it doesn't explain. It just says all series can be read in any order.

In book #10 of the Reaper's Pet series, we are told there are Reaper settlements and ships scattered throughout the galaxy. In Reaper's Pet, Bolton the Reaper becomes King of the Reapers by being chosen by the "Manifestation" of the Ishana. So Bolton has super powers and can make his ship invisible and prevent weapons from hitting him and vaporize Reapers with a thought.
So now this hero in "Reaper's Property" book 1 invades the Combine planet Rothchild and claims it as the first planet in the Reaper empire. He names himself Emperor and his mate/pet Empress.
So now it seems like there are two leaders of the Reapers. Yet no mention is made of Bolton in this book. Maybe they don't know about him yet.
The hero does public stuff with her, he literally strings her up naked in the mess hall and lets his men throw darts at her while she bleeds. Then he tries to humiliate her by making her give him oral s#x, but she turns the tables and tells all the men watching she enjoys it.
He also whips her until she bleeds and uses toys on her and a leash. Originally she is kidnapped by him but they grow to love each other.
I also liked how at the end of the book, he told everyone she was his empress, not just his pet. So compared to the other Reaper books there is equality.

Unfairly discarded and enslaved, Companion Lakyn believed that her life was no longer worth anything. In a sudden twist of fate, a Reaper, became her new enslaver and the owner of all of her. Brama was provoking intense emotions and exciting feelings that would open new opportunities for both. As a Companion, despite her difficulties, she had been trained welll and knew how to deliver what she had learned, all of it. Brama had ambitions, was unhappy with the Reapers destiny and felt lonely among them all. The human woman was awakening his desires for more in an unexpected way, but would he be ready? Interesting and intriguing this new twist on Reapers survival. Lakyn character was special, strong, decided and very smart. An influencer! Liked this trait of the Companions. With wide eyes I’m waiting for more of this two. Action, suspense, strong characters, intrigue, betrayal, violence and lot of heated passion Reaper style. Good story! Voluntarily reviewed this interesting story that I enjoyed and received free from Booksprout.

Unlikable female MC
MCs that start off just nasty to other characters for no reason make a book unreadable to me. We meet our “love interest” after she’s fallen in status from ‘potential mate’ to slave seemingly overnight.
She’s in a tiny cage, already monologuing about how she doesn’t belong there, that she’s been cheated out of her status and position by her lying fiancé, one she insisted on having despite not even knowing him or really liking him, and where she’s verbally abused by guards. Guards who are physically and sexually abusing the other ‘less valuable’ slaves. She then ditches them to try to escape with the guards knowing the others will likely be killed. She then complains that these tortured and starved slaves are crying and “sniveling” when they think they’re about to die.
I couldn’t even finish the book. I’m all for a bada** female character but that’s not this book. She’s little more than a snobby plaything for the commander and somehow we’re supposed to be interested in what happens to this rude,conceited person…

I saw this book advertised on another author's newsletter, read the blurb, and thought it sounded interesting. Being as I'd never read any of Athena Storm or Cara Stone's work but I did trust the author that recommended it, I took a chance. The book was well worth it. In the blurb, it states it shares the same universe as their other books and since this is book one of a new series, I didn't feel lost in the details. "Monster" was dark and gritty but I expected that in a dark romance. The world-building was phenomenal. The entire thing played out in my mind. The burning instant attraction was only the beginning building point between the hero and heroine which was hotter than blue blazes. There were twists and turns that elicited a plethora of emotions throughout the entire story which kept me on the edge of my seat. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone that enjoys this genre.

Lakyn, a companion falsely convicted of theft, escapes from her cage as their ship comes under attack, only to be caught again and later taken by Brama, the Reaper chief, as his prize. This book deals a lot with their relationship and the fact that she is human and the mate to Brama. As their bond strengthens and with her input and knowledge, the Reapers are ready to conquer other worlds and so the battle starts. There is a lot happening in this story and the action is fast and dangerous. They have conquered their first world and now they must defend it, which leads into the next book. This is a good read and I would highly recommend it.

It Never Fails
At some point I will remember that I can never put a book by Athena Storm down until I have read it from cover to cover. It never fails to grab my attention and keeps me greedily flipping page after page. This latest series is on point! Gritty and dark beyond belief but oh so exciting. Brama and Lakyn were an odd mix that clicked as soon as they laid eyes on each other. Their path to love and enlightenment might offend some people but it was an awesome read to me. I used to get ARC’s but now I wait for the books to go live because I would much rather buy these books and help this amazing couple continue to feed me my fixes.

This is a great new series set in the Athenaverse. We are introduced to a new Reaper group. They have a world that they have lived on since they started evolving from Inshana. Brama is the war chief of the six clans. He decides that they should attack a caravan of ships from the Helio Combine. Lakyn is a slave on the Helio ship and she is captured. Brama chooses her for his only slave. Brama appreciates her intellect and starts to listen to her advice. They have a HEA. I really enjoyed this new world and am looking forward to more books in this new series.

This was an amazingly well-written story by one of my favorite authors, Athena Storm. This book 1 in the Reaper's Property Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable.This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, variety of races, humans, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced and continuation from the previous book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am always on the lookout for books by this author.

Athena Storm has done it again with this Sci~fi Romance "Monster" was a lovely fast read. Every book she writes keeps getting better and better. If your into Sci~fi then her books are for you. It kept me reading till the end. Once I started I could not put it down. Loved the characters and everything about this book. Highly recommend that you grab this book and actually anything else that Athena Storm writes. You won't be disappointed... Can't wait to read the next one.

The story does have some dark elements but nothing to harsh. The story is a sci-fi romance with some interesting twists. It is the first book in the series so I expect that we will meet more of these dominant reapers as the stories go. Brama is a huge male with spikes/spurs on his body. He resembles more of a demon than his ancestors, the Ishana. Humans would of called them angels. He is powerful and dominant. Lakyn is a young human female. She is beyond smart but her brain may get her into more trouble then help her. She has trained to be a companion but fate has made her into a slave. Can a slave handle a powerful War Chief and survive?

Exciting Story! This new book in the Athenaverse world hooked me into its story line right at the get-go. It is a real page-turner, and this outstanding book is almost impossible to put down! The plot is jam-packed full of lots of action, suspense and danger—and of course, hot romance as the “monstrous” alien raider war chief and his human war prize captive are seemingly caught unawares of what being fated mates really entails. The world building of this series promises that each new story in this series will be awesomely exciting and filled with untold danger. Fantastic story. I just can start a book by this author without having to finish it. The storyline is engaging and I kept turning the pages until there were no pages left. This is a dark, gritty action packed story with plenty of danger, The two characters Brama and Lakyn seemed to click right away. Brama picks Lakyn as his slave at first but as they get to know one another better he is intrigued by her intellect and really starts to hear what she has to say. They have an amazing HEA. A wonderful start to a new series and written by two amazing authors. This story is about Lakyn, a companion falsely convicted of theft and imprisoned by the Helios Combine who is chosen by War Chief Brama, reaper, as his prize when they overtook the starship Brutus. At the beginning Lakyn resists being Brama's pet but as the "Jalshagar" bond grows and Lakyn learns what Brama desires for his race, will she help him? This is another page turner story that I couldn't put down that I enjoyed reading and reviewing via booksprout. ARC

This story takes Reapers in a new direction. Brama some how got Lakyn and as a former Companion. She is spoils from a raid, but Beams realizes she's his jalshagar, his fated mate. He's been discontented for awhile and she opens feelings and ideas that leave him unsettled. This is what I love about these books. They build and build and even though each story is it's own entity, they add to the dimension and overall story of the Athenaverse. Loved it!!!

I liked this beginning of this book and it looks like a series I would like to follow. The characters Lakyn and Brama each have skills that when meshed together for the glory of the Reaper clan they become almost invincible. In this world it’s only the strong that survive. The reaper clan is different than the other. They have a home base and where others remain in space. This is the best Reaper book for me so far. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend to readers that don’t have any triggers with spanking and rough sex; after all he is a Reaper.

I am a fan of erotic, adult stories, Isoellen is one of my favs. I read the samp!e which was mostly background, I liked the world building so I purchased it What a mistake...when it came to the physical bones of the characters, this was not erotica, the female lead had been starved, commented on by the hea but the first thing he does is flog her??? But when she is tied naked and he allows crew to throw metal darts. That impaled her...I deleted it ..this is a male's Sadistic dream , there's nothing erotic about it, its just gross.

Reapers are the monsters of the alien world. Brama is the War Chief of the Reapers who has united the six clans to attack a Helios Combine caravan. Lakyn is enslaved on the Helios ship for a crime she was framed for by her master. Loved this new look into the Athenaverse series. This series is grittier and darker than the previous ones. But it still stayed true to this world.

Absolutely Fan-freaking-tastic 😁
This first book tantalizes you with another view of the Reapers 😃. Unlike the other Reapers, this bunch have colonized a world and made a civilization 😊. And lo and behold a slave girl once again shows that there is more to just raiding 😉. A awesome start to a new series, one I know everyone will come to love 😍. Thanks Athena and Cara, y'all bring this story to life so well. I couldn't put it down 🤓.

The first book in a new series called A Dark Alien Romance/Reaper's Property series and I want to read the next book. A well written story that kept me turning pages. Faith brings two most unlikely people together.
The journey they are on is full of drama action suspense
and steam.
The interaction between the characters is real interesting.
I highly recommend this book if you are into a bit of a dark

New, new, new series! I couldn’t read it fast enough. New action, finding mates and oh yeah, new REAPERS! Yeah. Still dark, Alpha-ed out. New challenges and worlds to protect or conquer. Well depending on how you look at it. Yeah!

I want a Reaper for myself! Get ready for the Reaper to steal your heart and maybe your soul. They will melt your panties and leave you wanting! I enjoyed this story and am so looking forward to the next book in this series! Oh bring in the Reapers!

2.5 Not My Cup of Tea Stars
Science Fiction isn't my favorite genre but I liked the cover so I decided to give it a try. The basic story-line is quite enjoyable to read but many events that happen along the way are disturbing and not what I would like to read... I had to take a long break before being able to finish this book. At least the last part was redeemable.
