J.S. Marlo spent her childhood in a small French Canadian town, reading and daydreaming stories. One day, she met her hero, a dashing young officer, and followed him back and forth across the country.

The "memorable" adventures she experienced with her young family fuelled her imagination and kindled the dream of one day becoming a published author. When her three spirited children left the nest in pursuit of their own adventures, J.S. gave writing a chance.

J.S. currently lives in Alberta with her amazing hubby, and when she's not visiting her children or spoiling her little granddaughter, she's working on her next novel under the northern lights.

4.5 Stars. With the setting taking place in my area, I was excited to read this book and I was not disappointed. This romantic, time travel story was so engaging. The author grabbed my attention immediately with a good plot of mystery and suspense. There are so many levels of this story that kept me turning the pages. The historical theme was interesting and the cast of characters were all enjoyable. A well developed plot and the author’s voice makes this story a hit. The time travel aspect was well done from the slip into the past and the return trip to the present. I really enjoyed the twist of how the two main characters were reunited and how the author gave the reader an inside look with a summary of events near the end…and Becca’s surprising family connection. I anxiously await the next book in Unraveling the Past. Reviewed for Still Moments Magazine.

This is one of the good ones, a woman seeking information on a young lady who haunts an old military base. Becca sneaks into the base and explores, then finds herself back in the time when the young lady is at her most vulnerable. As Becca peels back the onion of lies and misconceptions, a family saga unfolds which always presents the best in spooky stories. As Becca strives to save the life of the young lady, an emerging twist takes place that is quite creative and adds a welcome dimension to the story.

For a wonderful historical fiction and time travel, this one tops the list.
