A demon traitor. A hopeless fight. The only way out may just kill them all… Zade can’t get over how easily Vrieg beat him, tearing his demon half to shreds and stealing his closest friend, Tiani, away. Vrieg got everything he wanted—except the portal to the demon world. But he’ll be back. And the villagers know it. Without their “demon ninja” to protect them, they turn to the one who created him—the king of the demons himself—and he has some ideas that just might work, if they’re willing to give up their souls in the process. Daemarkin: Demon Bonds is the second book in a captivating fantasy series about perceptions, expectations, and the bonds that unite us all. If you like magical settings, incredible plot twists, and demon ninjas, then you’ll love R. W. Hert’s intoxicating story.
I never know what to write or what people want to know about me. So let's go with the basics. I LOVE Fantasy. Especially dragons! I used to dream about having a dragon. Unfortunately, the closest I've been able to get is to write them into my books, and make those books as alive as possible.
I think books should transport you. I mean who doesn't want to go flying through the clouds, or swimming with the mermaids and get so involved with the words that you actually feel like you are there. When I think of good books, that's what it does for me, and that's what I try to make happen with the books I write.
Action! Action is a must. In books and in life, I want something to be happening which is probably why I daylight as a mom of 8 kids (4 of which were adopted through foster care, and let me tell you, if you're looking for a crazy rollercoaster that is definitely one.)
I also like to get to know people. I want to understand them, and see where they're coming from. Connection is key.
*I got this book for free, but this opinion is my own.* After his best friend is kidnapped, he enlists one other to help bring her back. The book hooks you in at the very beginning. I had so many questions that were slowly answered throughout the story. The emotions were strong with this one. It made the characters relatable. Now, I didn't read the book before this (I truly missed out), so I can't really comment on how it relates to the story so far. My only complaint is super basic; there's a scene where some characters come into a room, but not the same one as the main character, and somehow he can see their actions. If the characters were loud,I can understand hearing the conversation. Despite this, I loved the book. It nullified my predictions. If you like adventure, magic, and revenge, this book is for you.
Daemarkin ninja warrior Zade has been in the wars - literally - and has paid a heavy price in defeat. Almost dying from his wounds and only saved by his mother's intervention and that of Ciala the village healer, Zade must also face up to the realisation that Tiani's gone...with her evil demon father Vrieg...his sworn enemy! It could be said that this story's a supernatural version of Romeo and Juliet, as the two young lovers are separated by family feuding. Ehlrin, Zade's friend, strives to obtain a magical weapon to help him defeat the villagers' nemesis before it's too late. What offer does Zade refuse? What magic does Tiani see in the dungeons? This was a great continuation to the first book in the series. The story follows Zade as he tries to recover from the injury with the help of Ehlrin. However, with a traitor amongst their midst, things get a bit tricky. The story is beautifully written with great character building and a solid plot. I really enjoyed reading this book.
He cannot believe how he could be beaten but he was. He knows they will be back and he will need to be stronger. How will he get on? What will he need to do? Can he be better next time? See if he can
I have really enjoyed this 2nd installment of the storyline. It's a captivating story and hard to put down. Some nice plot twists add to the enjoyment of the story.
I received an ARC Advanced Reader Copy from the Author however the opinions are my own.
