★★ Do you want finally to learn how to behave with children with ADHD? ★★

Moms and dads, this book is for you!

How many times have you asked "Doesn't it happen to all children?"

Yes, it happens; all children lose focus and are hyperactive, especially when they are anxious or excited.

However, children with ADHD experience these behavioral disorders over a prolonged period and in different settings.

Therefore, ADHD limits a child's ability to function socially, academically, and even at home.

For parents, it is difficult to accept that their children have been diagnosed with ADHD. It is not easy to internalize, mainly because they see their child as intelligent, active, and naturally curious.

Being unprepared will only make the situation worse, with inevitable frustration and unnecessary guilt; that's why becoming aware of it must be the first real goal of parents.

"Only when you know the triggers you can prepare for them."

But that is not If acceptance is the key to understanding children with ADHD, having an effective parenting method is, on the other hand, what allows you to help them overcome their challenges.

It will be stimulating to work together and see continued progress at home, school, and friends.

Putting into practice this method with constancy, in every suggested situation, you can say goodbye to your frustration once and for all!

You will gain new confidence, and you will finally feel prepared and adequate parents!

My first question is DID ANYBODY PROOF READ THIS BOOK BEFORE IT WENT TO PRINT?
Honestly, there are so many grammatical errors in this book it feels like a rough draft. There's multiple sentences that don't end with punctuation, spelling errors and completely wrong words altogether (for example one one page the word "gas" I'm pretty sure is suppose to say "has"). The author speaks on a dumbed down level so it's not too scientific or anything, it's just poorly written. I found myself having to read things several times to try to understand what it was suppose to say. The book also drudge on and on saying the same thing over and over but in a different way. I feel like I have ADHD reading this book because it does not hold my attention. I find myself skimming or skipping sections because it's redundant or poorly worded. I'll be honest, I didn't even finish this book. I can't. I need advice from someone who can form a complete sentence or at least hire an editor to do it for them. I'm super disappointed because this book had great reviews and I'm on a my own journey to understand ADHD so I can help my son. Take my advice, there are so many other options and resources to choose from. Don't waste your time on this one.

Great resource for parents

I think this is a wonderful guide for parents of children with ADHD. This book really covers so many aspects of this condition, and not just the diagnosis/symptoms portion. This book has a whole chapter devoted to diet. So much of the food we put in our bodies has wider ramifications. The author maintains that a lot of ADHDs manifestations improve with dietary adjustments. There is also a chapter on accomodations to make at home and school. This is so helpful. I go into every IEP meeting not really having a firm idea of what will help my kiddo. This book gives me some ideas of what might help. I also like that there were ideas for games to play to help build some of the skills that may be lacking in AdHD kids. Overall, I seebthis book as well written and helpful.

Do not buy or bother to read this book!!!! It’s awful. It’s practically illegible; there are sentences that make zero sense even in the context of the paragraph or chapter. One chapter even ended its last two pages with text completely missing. The final sentence said, “For example, if your child likes to build things or take things apart” and that’s how the chapter ended. It was clearly published by an independent press with no editing. There are typos in every paragraph. There are no references or citations. If you’re looking for information about parenting a child with ADHD, chose something written by an established author and/or clinician. I don’t know who “Joanna Brain” is, but googling her name only brought up this book. I didn’t even finish it.

Over active?

Does your child have the symptoms of ADHD. This book identifies the symptoms and then proceeds to tell you the possible causes. It tells you how to be a good parent to a child with this disorder and what the school should!d do for your child. I recommend this book to anyone who 's child has been diagnosed with ADHD or if you suspect they may have it.

Health

I gave this book 5 stars. As a special education teacher I found this book to be a great reminder of how students feel and react. I loved in the parent section how it said if you are in a good mood the child will behave better. I find this true as a teacher also.

An Education for an Adult with ADHD

Ms. Brain enlightened me as far as my own diagnosis of ADHD. In reading her book, I realized how entwined my diagnoses truly are. Armed with this knowledge, I now understand not just my diagnoses but others around me.

Excellent!

As the parent of an ADHD daughter, i have often struggled with how to reach her and motivate her. Thankfully, most of the tantrums have lessened. This book was an excellent resource on strategies to handle the stress of dealing with a child who can be explosive.

Complete garbage. Sounds like a book written by AI fed only the Wikipedia page on ADHD. The first chapter refers to ADHD as a disease, and then a few pages later describes how it’s absolutely not a disease.
