Marco Houde’s world revolves around the impossibly alluring nightclub built on the outskirts of Manhattan. Even as the wealthy and elite line up night after night for entry, there’s a part of him few manage to touch.
Then he watched her saunter into Redemption. Fireworks went off inside him.
Brilliant financier Lynne Bradbury is determined to give her best friend the bachelorette party of her dreams. Along with the rambunctious Freeman clan, she ends up moving and shaking in the VIP section. But it isn’t long before she accuses him of being a bad liar for treating her differently than he does the others.
She just doesn’t understand why.
As the music plays, Lynne can’t quite shake off the feeling there’s more to Marco than meets the eye, especially after he whirls her around the dance floor.
Because that one dance between them changes everything.
Tracey Jerald knew she was meant to be a writer when she would re-write the ending of books in her head on her bike when she was a young girl growing up in southern Connecticut. It wasn’t long before she was typing alternate endings and extended epilogues “just for fun.” After college in Florida, where she obtained a degree in Criminal Justice swearing she saw things she’ll never quite believe and never entirely forget, Tracey traded the world of law and order for IT. Her work for a global internet startup transferred her to Northern Virginia where she met her husband in what many call their own happily ever after. They have one son. When she’s not busy with her family or writing, Tracey can be found in her home in north Florida drinking coffee, reading, training for a runDisney event, or feeding her addiction to HGTV. I am never disappointed by a Tracey Jerald book, ever! I’m always swept away by love or laughter or even worry but it always ends with me loving this author even more each time.
Lynne is quite the woman and she speaks directly to my heart dealing with her family. (Mine were more subtle with the comments.) She has become so much more and I’m so excited for her and things to come! I laughed and wanted to cry but my goodness do I love this family!
Marco made me want to slap him several times but while falling for him too. I wasn’t sure about him and I was scared I was going to get hurt too.
I very much loved the not expected ending!!! There are things you usually hope for in a book but you don’t actually think will happen. Often times that happens with most of the books I read and with a Tracey Jerald book I’m usually sitting on the edge of the seat, biting my nails waiting for what I’m hoping will happen! I very much loved the experience of this book and family each time I get to read them!!! Congrats!!
I'm torn on this review. When I saw there was a new Amaryllis book I immediately gobbled it up because I have loved this series and these characters. However, this left me a little down. It was great to see some of my favorite characters again but this book felt rushed. I liked the idea of Marco and Lynne but I felt they didn't get to shine the way they would have if this was a longer book. It felt rushed. Especially, because a portion of this book reintroduced the previous books and the history. I'm not saying that was all bad because it was nice to get a refresher. Yet, in a book that is less than 150 pages it didn't allow time to foster this new relationship the way that these characters deserved. Marco had an important backstory and I wanted that to get the attention it deserved.
That being said, ill round this from 3.5 stars to 4 stars because I really do love these characters. I look forward to where this author takes this series and the next generation next.
I was so ready for Lynne's story and it did not disappoint. I have loved her since we met her, perhaps because I identify with her a lot when it comes to body image and not feeling like you fit anywhere. I loved this sweet and spicy novella so much. I always appreciate visiting with the Freemans and I loved the crossover with the characters from Close Match. Like seeing friends and family after a long absence. It warmed my heart.
I do have to thank the author for this line that would have made me spit out anything I was drinking had I been drinking something at the time: "It's not the sisters I'm worried about. It's their damn brother who is the epicenter of all the trouble in that group!" Any dunk on Phil (who has grown on me slightly since book 1) is perfection and this did not disappoint.
I have loved every book in this series!! The humorous and loving moments between the family and their husbands and wives. Then, the different points of view, which I completely appreciated. Finally, the sex scenes are always tender yet hot at the same time. Definitely, will be reading more by this author I the future.
I love the Amaryllis series and characters and to have those characters collide with much love ved characters from other Tracey Jerald books makes my heart so happy. Our pasts shape our futures and it is how we move forward from those pasts that allow us to accept imperfections in others. Lynne's parents were emotionally cruel growing up. Thank God her friendship with Jenna have her the Freeman's to lean on. Marco had spent so much time in the dark that Lynne's brightness blinded him until he because adjusted to the light.
"Love is the dance everyone wants to be on the floor for once the music starts, but how many people have the stamina to finish until the end of the song?”~ Lynne
Love is like taking a leap and putting your full trust to another can be life changing. Of course they found their way in true Tracey Jerald style. To watch all of the Freeman's shenanigans is icing on the top. The Freeman's and Houde's love fiercely and enjoy life.
Oh my, I was so very excited to see Marco was getting his own book! You may remember his brief mentioning in previous Tracey Jerald books. This club owning, dancing hottie intrigued me from the first time he appeared in Corina's book. Matching Marco with another past character was a huge surprise for me. The age difference I would've thought would have made things a little weird but after reading it was obvious Marco was exactly what Lynne needed to bring her out of all her insicurities. These two are AMAZING characters from past books and the chemistry they have is amazing! Marco is even more swoon worthy as we see the man he is in deeper depth. Lynne, in her previous mentions was probably a character you've forgotten- which just makes their pairing so much better!!! This story is such an awesome addition to the amaryllis series and one I am so very happy the author choose to revisit!!!

I absolutely LOVE Tracey Jerald and the Amaryllis Series!! I can’t get enough!! In Free to Dance, not only do we get to dive in deeper to Marco Houde’s world, we get to catch up with the Freeman’s that we know and love. I can’t say enough how much I love when Tracey intertwines her book worlds. In Dance, we get to follow Marco, the owner of Redemption Nightclub, and Lynne, who we met in Free to Believe. These two have their own dark pasts and secrets that they will need to maneuver, and share, to finally find their happily ever after. Fantastic read by Tracey as always!!
Tracey is definitely becoming a new favorite author! I love her story telling and character development. I absolutely loved Marco & Lynne’s story. Two people struggling with their dark past, find solace in each other’s arms. Both learning to accept that their past has made them who they are today...strong, independent people who are loved by those they consider family. I laughed through the whole book. The Amaryllis clan is amazing.
Tracey once again brings us a fabulous edge of your seat, can't get enough, installment of the Amaryllis clan. She always keeps you guessing and anxious to see where she is going to lead you next. I absolutely adored Marco and Lynne individually in previous books of this series & now I am head over heels for this couple. You get all the feels, with plenty of angst. You will for sure have some tears in your eyes one minute and cracking up laughing the next. You want to grab this one ASAP!
Marco and Lynne blew me away. Such strong personalities. What they both had to endure during their childhood and growing up with such negative things in their lives. To come so far and find true love, forgiveness, authenticity, worthy but most of all that love one can feel coming off the pages. I laughed and cried along with them. Beautiful love💗. Well done Tracy. A masterpiece💗
This story is so heartwarming! Its a fast read! Thought I'd be still reading about Lynne and Marco and more of the trials and tribulations of finding Love and managing to correct all misunderstandings! Lynne and Marco even in distance in age find the true meaning of Love! Love knows no age, color, race, religion or anything! Some times Love happens early, sometimes later in life, but no matter, give it your all!
I’m new to this series and I’m hooked! The depth of the characters drove this one. The innate chemistry and the reading of these words that finally brought the true understanding of Marco’s past. This wasn’t what I expected - but again it was an amazing and beautiful story. Loved every word!
An enjoyable, satisfying short read. Marco and Lynne demonstrate the residuals of pasts from which they both have not healed. Coming together, their healing begins as their relationship develops. Loved this addition to the Amaryllis series.
[1.25 star] don't really like the insta-love thingy, also this series has a lot of side characters that i completely don't remember which book did the hero and heroine appear in. the book just felt very superficial to me overall, it's totally a me thing i guess.
Lynn and Marco have sad backgrounds that have lead them to close off from real relationships. When they meet it's like a beam of light shows them who they are meant for. I LOVE the Freeman family who are weaving around in this happy, loving story. Linda
Lynne and Marco’s story was way too short but I love these strong independent characters! I really would have loved to know more on how their love developed and grew into a beautiful love story.
The Amaryllis book series is a good one to follow. The whole Freeman family of characters in the book series was well written, including how they all interact together and make you feel like you are part of the family. They bring you along in the love story of the book. There is an HEA in this book.
When either of them were looking for love love came looking for them
Who is the mystery woman dancing with her curves that made him stop in his tracks he needs to know who she is but both aren't looking for love but love comes to them both
Lynne has grown up, and now we get her story of growth and finding happiness in love. Marco is the one for her, and he fights falling hard, for a few days at least.
