Wicked Secrets

Rate this book
With the witches still on the hunt for her vampire boyfriend, and her mother coming back to town, Ember has a lot to deal with, and it's about to get worse. When a stroll in the haunted forest around the school brings her face to face with danger, Ember discovers a secret that changes everything she thought she knew about herself.
She isn't human.
She's just coming to terms with her new powers when her mother arrives with an old friend in tow, but Owen isn't who he used to be, and he's had his eye on Ember from a distance.
With Owen's presence stirring up trouble between Ember and Reid, and the witches closing in, Ember has to keep her powers in check, keep secrets from her mother, and try to survive the next two weeks.

This book was full of all kinds of excitement. You have Ember and Reid and them discovering their feelings for each other. Ember’s Mother comes to visit and she hates Reid and forbids Ember from seeing him. Sherry and Ricky are disappearing more and more together. Then you have the girls who are witches hunting the boys.
With everything going on, Ember learns the truth about herself. But will Sherry, Reid and Ricky run from her or be happy for her? Sherry is fragile and sensible and the news about the boys is hard enough to swallow, but Ember too? Will Ember loose her best friend?
The witches decide to take the girls and force Ember to kill the boys. They are vampire hunters and feel the boys need to go. But will their plan backfire? Or will Ember have to do the dirty work to save her best friend?
Teenage life is hard enough, but add in an old childhood friend who isn’t messed up anymore and falling for a vampire, plus your Mother is visiting and witches who plan on using you, you have a pretty exciting story!

WOW !!
If you LIKED the first book of this series then you're going to LOVE this one !!
The first book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, and this starts where it finished. It's fast paced, action filled, and quite dark in places !!
I'll not say too much but when Ember discovers a life changing secret she has to decide WHICH path to choose............ And a face from her past certainly doesn't make her decision any easier either !
I loved everything about this and seriously can not wait to see what happens next !!! Absolutely AMAZING !

This is the second book in the Unfortunate Blood Series. Ember and Reid have surprises in store for them in this book. She is not who she thinks she is. Her mother visits and brings a childhood boy friend to visit and he is more than she remembers him being. Things get complicated, to say the least, between the trio. This is definitely an "explosive" read. Thanks HG.
