Persian cat shifter Fiona Tehrani can’t stop thinking about being in Jett Banner’s arms no matter how much she shouldn’t. Not only is she intrigued by the danger of being with a man her mother hates, but he’s her fated mate. Returning to Heartland and seeing him again has stirred up the feelings she tried so hard to ignore, and this time her cat won’t let her stay away from him. But as things heat up, she knows she has to make a choice. Lose her family and the money that goes with it or walk away from the man she loves.
Hawk shifter Jett Banner knows he should stay away from Fiona Tehrani. Ever since they gave into their desire the summer after high school, he hasn’t been able to forget her. She’s rich, gorgeous, and totally out of his league. She’s also forbidden by both her family and his. But she’s the only woman he could ever love, and now he’s willing to do whatever it takes to win her heart and claim her as his mate.

Borrowed From KINDLE UNLIMITED Title: Cat Hearts Hawk Series: Heartland Shifters #5 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: V. Vaughn/ C. J. Oliver Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre:#PRN #HawkShifter #CatShifter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ •••••••••••••• 💢 This book catches you from the first page, keeping you breathless till the end, all the time taking you on the ride of your life. 🔹️Fiona Tehrani Persian Cat Shifter lives on the right side of the track while her high school secret flame Jett Banner who is a Hawk Shifter grew up on the wrong side. Fiona’s dad owns half of Heartland while Jett’s parents were fated - yet his mom overdosed and his dad became a drunk biker basically. It seems every time these two try to get it together, they get bulldozed down. Will they keep fighting to be together? ☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.
so sweet.. and this cover is gorgeous. it was a good story.. a little slow in spots.. a bit off for me in spots but overall i really did like it.. it fit with the others well and icant wait for the next. good story
This is the 5th book in the series and can be read by itself without reading the other novels. Though each of the novels have the previous couples before and talk about them all in passing. Loved this novel really hits home with the other side of the tracks theme. The main characters in this novel are both strong in their way and have a lot of history that is between them thrown in.... so you won't get lost. Birds are suppose to hate cats correct? And vice versa right? What if they didn't and in secret loved one another. That's the problem a rich cat shifter woman named Fiona is having. She loves her family, but is in love with a hawk shifter who is her fated mate to boot. There's old and new hates brought up anytime that his name passes her lips. But with new beginnings can there be any hope that she will be able to be with him or will what her mom plans to do ruin everything?
This is a 3.5 for me, but rounded to a 4 because the writing is good and the story is entertaining. Cat shifter Fiona has chosen her elitist family over her Hawk shifter mate, Jett, on two occurrences already. They’ve known they are mates for close to 10 years, but their families aren’t accepting of them being together, so Fiona has broken Jett’s heart multiple times. Fiona is the rich girl and Jett is the poor boy from the wrong side of town. It’s been a year since Fiona last chose her family over Jett, but she’s back in town and can’t seem to stay away from him. Her mother is set on having her way in Fiona’s life and threatens to disown and cut Fiona off financially if she stays with Jett. Fiona has some great sass, but it’s annoying how much she lets her mother rule her life. I was tired of Fiona complaining about the possibility of being poor; not having her fancy shoes and such. It’s great that she’s realizing that she needs to be more independent, but there was too much back and forth in this story; poor Jett. He’s a great guy with a sweet heart. They do have some good passion and a sweet connection. I do like both of them as characters; I just wish that Fiona didn’t keep giving up her mate because of her family’s ultimatums. Without giving spoilers, something I didn’t like was that I think certain decisions should’ve been made before certain events took place. I wasn’t a fan of how things play out with Fiona and Jett’s romance. I still enjoyed the story though, so I’d still recommend it. The story does have heart and hope.
“Cat Hearts Hawk” is a taboo shifter romance with stormy emotions, suspense, action, witty banter, family drama, and molten-passionate romance. Admirable characters come alive with an intriguing storyline, fabulous vivid scene descriptions and a superb happy forever.
Fiona a stunning Persian cat shifter is rich, intelligent and craves to be with melt your heart Hawk shifter Jett Banner. Jett has his own business with his best friend, but can’t compete with Fiona’s family wealth. They face a few hurdles before reaching their happy forever.
Fabulous well-written romance read. Jett and Fiona's love shines in this story. The authors show how wealth takes a back seat for true love. Loving this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy via the author.
Preditors & Prey don't mix. But what if they are true mates? That isn't their only problem. They love each other but is it enough? Not only is Jett from the other side of town, but her mother also threatens her if she stays with Jett. You'd think his father would feel differently but no, his father is the same just no monetary threat to disown and stop funding her now and forever.
Jett has a good business going but nothing like the way she is used to living.
A different but interesting conflict. Both want to keep their families in their lives but want each other. Is their love strong enough to give up their families?
A touching love story with visits from friends in other books in the series, steam, and surprises.
This is a sweet romance that will keep you wondering what's next. Two true mates who belong together but torn by their families. Because hey, cats and birds don't belong together. Right? Fiona and Jett have loved each other for years. However Fiona's mom thinks she needs a more suitable companion and ships her off. Now she is back and she can't get Jett off her mind. Only he is a hawk from the wrong side of the tracks. Can true love win or will a self centered and uppity mom win? I enjoyed the push and pull of this book and the growth that Fiona and Jett both go through. Both standing up to parents and .... shoot no spoilers ... ok well there is an HEA so there is that. The journey to that HEA is full of ups and downs. And just remember, there is always a reason behind things.....
Cat Heart Hawk was one of my best read in this series so far, a hawk and a cat in love, a bad boy and a princess. All the things to overcome for these fated mates who got to fight for their love. I started reading and did not put this book down unless I had to, and when I did I did what I had to do very quickly. learning to stand on your own and make your own decisions and something that's would be hard for many people learning to live simple when all your life you have known wealth. Fiona and Jett forth the battle and won the war for love. I guess forbidden love is the perfect love. A must read to get to the HEA😉
Fiona who is a cat shifter is in Love with Jett who is a hawk shifter. If has been in love with Jett for 10 years but was to scare to go against her mother. Jett was trying to get over Fi but when she came home from beginning away for a year all the fillings were still there. The journey between them was not an easy one to take before they get there happy ever. A real page turner plenty of drama suspense and action . The chemistry and interaction between the pair really brings the book alive. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book
Delightful story of true mates. They are not only from opposite sides of the socio-economic tracks, but also shifter predator vs. prey sides. It makes for a conflicted, convoluted journey for Jett and Fiona. They've taken different paths, but find their ways back to each other, despite parental interference their HEA proves to be a happy, and content one.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has a good storyline. This book is filled with action and adventure. The chemistry and interaction between the characters of Fiona (Fi) and Jett is great. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
A tale of an elite parental wielding their power via threats and blackmail concerning their child’s choice of life partner. Even among shifters, the evils of money can yield its horrid face. Once again, this author delivers a tale chocked full of rollercoaster emotions on top of steamy hot mature content. all my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This is a review I’m struggling with. On one hand, I enjoyed the storyline and the idea of how the characters were differing. I appreciate what the authors were writing and trying to convey, but ultimately, I had a hard time liking Fiona. I admit, it was probably my mood at the time I read this and just found myself annoyed with her. I think the writing is well done and the story is interesting.
Some things go together: Astaire and Rogers, The Nicholas Brothers, or even peanut butter and jelly. Some thing's don't: mixing bleach, ammonia or vinegar is a bad idea! How about in shifter romances? Well, it's Fiona & Jett's turn. Their tale grabbed me emotionally, as did the other Heartland romances. Can't wait for the cuddly bear's story! 3 1/2 stars.
A second chance romance. All the characters of the story are shifters. Some are considered Predator and some are considered Prey. But what happens when a predator is the mate to a prey? The story has a lot of struggle because of this. Choosing one side or the other. The romance at times is sweet and perfect. But sometimes it is also cruel. Can love when or will everyone lose?
Jett and Fiona are a case study in opposites attract. He's a hawk shifter, she's a cat shifter and that is only the beginning of things that hinder this pairing. However fate and their hearts know they should be together. It was good to see the growth both characters experience as a couple and as individuals. especially Fiona.
Another great story in the Heartland Shifters series. After a year away, Fiona returns to Heartland and her fated mate, Jeff. The storyline was great, with several twists but ultimately ending with a HEA. I was given an ARC and voluntarily reviewed it.
Couldn't put it down so can't wait to read more in this series loved the characters and the storyline so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
Interference by parents has caused a great deal of pain, confusion and self doubt to build. It drives a mated couple apart until maturity and confidence build.
Fiona and Jett have known they were mates since high school. Yet Fiona is torn between the love she has for her mate and not wanting to lose her family whom she also loves. Can a cat and hawk get their happily ever after or will things always be the way they are?
This is the fifth book in the Heartland Shifters series and while it may be read as a stand alone why would you want to miss out on the rest of this great series. We all know that predators and prey don't mix but what happens when they are true mates? It makes it a great read
Very good paranormal shifter romance book. The book is original and the shifter characters are contemporary and interesting as she’s a cat shifter and he’s a hawk shifter. They are suppose to prey and hunter not soulmates. Both families are extremely against them getting together.
This is a wonderful paranormal romance! I really liked it! It has lots of drama and emotion. These fated mates have to work extra hard to make their dreams come true..
I am absolutely loving this series and this particular book really brings it home. When a Feline and A Hawk fall in live can they bridge their differences to be together. This book is well written and it brings hoy to your heart even through the rough spots.
