Fire isn’t the only thing heating up this department, and time is running out; possibly for all of them.
Hallie
People have always told me that a woman can’t do a man’s job. We belong at home, in the kitchen … or so they say.
But I made it, and I’m here. I passed the fire department’s strenuous testing, and I’m now I’m the first female firefighter to make it onto the Lakewood Fire Department’s staff.
But there’s a problem---a big problem. The men don’t want me here, and neither does anyone else. The only real support I have is from our Captain, Tate Becker, and earning my crew’s trust is a task I feel I might never be able to accomplish. Falling for my capital? I don’t think any of us saw that coming.
Tate
Hallie earned her spot on my squad regardless of my men’s feelings towards her. She’s determined, sassy, and she knows exactly what she wants. I like that in a girl.
But just when we think the guys might actually accept this newcomer, Hallie is framed, and our department’s trust is shattered.
The worst part? I think it’s one of our very own.
Proving Hallie’s innocence means finding the real culprit, even if it kills me. I’d do anything for my crew, but Hallie is more than just that ...
Because I think I’m falling for her, hard, and I won’t let her go down for this.
"Hearts On Fire" is a steamy first-responder romance novel. No cheating, No cliffhanger, plenty of heat, and a guaranteed HEA!
Hallie put all her effort into becoming a firefighter and proudly joins the small town Lakewood Fire Department. Unfortunately, the only one who supports what she has done is her Captain, Tate Becker. Everyone else on the team, the Mayor, and her fiancé are all set against having a female firefighter, despite the intense vigorous training that she had to go through, exactly the same as they had. As she does the job, she begins to win some respect from some of the team. But when she is framed as an arsonist, if she cannot be quickly cleared of this accusation, she will endure more than just loss of her job! Will any of her team members try to help clear her? Can they find the real arsonist and whoever is accusing her?
This is an active story line. I focused on the big picture, but there is a love story also involved. Just for the record, this anti-women theme is for purposes of this fictional story and not the way it is in, I hope, “real” fire departments. (I am a member of our Fire Company and we have many female EMTs and firefighters.) Grab your copy and see how Hallie copes with fitting in and whether they can find out who is still acting against her.
This book is amazing! The story of Hallie and Becker is full of love, broken relationships, achieving your goals and a bit of intrigue. Hallie and Becker meet when she is sworn in as the only female firefighter at the station where Becker is the Captain. Both are in relationships at the time but can't seem to get each other off their minds. No one in the station wants her there, except the Chief and Becker and it will be a rough time for Hallie. A broken rule at a fire will have her saving Kyle's life and earning his gratitude. The guys at the station will treat her a bit better but trouble is on the horizon. She catches her fiance cheating, she gets attacked outside a bar and fires are being blamed on her. She will be arrested and it will take Becker and Kyle working together to figure out exactly what is going on. A confession by someone she least expects will leave her worried as she has no proof. Eventually, the proof will be found, the guilty parties will be held accountable and Hallie and Becker can move forward to their happily ever after.

Hallie worked hard and is now a member of the Lakewood Fire Department. There is some opposition, the mayor her boyfriend, and the guys at the fire house. Tate Becker is not against having a woman on the team. One day there is a fire and Hallie rescues one of the guys and they start to warm up to her. Then she catches her boyfriend cheating, is attacked outside of a bar, and is being blamed as an arsonist. Becker even though is in a relationship cannot stop thinking about Hallie. They need to clear her name and quick and find the guilty party. This is a book that is full of suspense and action. There is also a love story that develops. I think the characters are great and the whole story is wonderful. This book hooked me and kept me engaged. I loved it.

Hallie, through hard work and persistence, has managed to be the first female firefighter assigned to a city firehouse. Chief Davis and Becker are over the area she works at. Not everyone is happy she is there, especially some higher ups in the government. Breaking things off with her fiancé seems to trigger a rash of problems in her life. Now she is being framed for the arsons and more. Loved how her crew wanted to help clear her and fight for her, even though they were not all ready for a female on the squad. Hallie and Becker are having feelings for each other and when she is in trouble, he and Kyle go to extremes to find out the truth. This has many parts that are edge of the seat situations. Loved the ending and how it played out.

Holy hotness and smokes this book was absolutely fantastic and I was hooked from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book and it has it all chemistry, suspense and action packed and romance and heartbreak. Hallie does it and works at tge fire station and proves she can be one of the men but her bf and soon to be ex doesn't like it but when things start happening and someone beats her up and trying to set her up its a race against time to find out who has it out for her but can Becker find out who? Will he lose the only woman made for him and love of his ? Great story and must read.

I really enjoyed Saving Becker by Amber Thielman. I am a sucker for Firefighter romance so I was excited to read Becker and Hallie's story. Hallie beat all the obstacles thrown at her to become a firefighter including her dad telling her she didn't belong lack of support from her fiancee. Now she is facing hatred from her fellow firemen. She is not welcome to the team and they do not want her there. One of the few that welcome her is the Tate Becker, the new captain. What she doesn't expect is the intense attraction between her and Tate. When she finds herself in trouble, Tate will do anything to prove her innocence. Great story!!! Definitely recommend.
Another compelling page turner from Amber... Strictly speaking this should be book #2 in the series as the events took place before #3. That said, they all read as stand alone novels so it's not a problem. The hero is the heroine's boss but there's more than admiration & attraction brewing & they are both in toxic relationships. The heroine faces gender prejudice but she's as good as the male firefighters who eventually accept her after some cruel & even dangerous hazing. The hero is an admirable leader but he's falling hard & fast for the feisty female member of his team. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster and keep you on the edge of your seat. Some scenes are heart-wrenching, some are heart-breaking, and some are really intense. It is well written, action-packed with suspense, arson, and other twists and turns. Really strong characters, however not enough development in the relationship between Tate and Hallie was provided; and the ending was a bit abrupt in my opinion. However, this book did not disappoint. It is a really enjoyable and interesting read and I definitely recommend it.

Well there's nothing like macho men hating on women for making and joining the fraternity of firefighters. Hallie passed all her tests with flying colors and the men and the Mayor didn't like it. Neither did her fiance Jeremy. But when fires starting happening and she was blamed, things took a terrible twist. She felt alone and no one supporting her. There's plenty of danger, fires, death and betrayals. But at least there was a HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great story of instant attraction and the lengths someone will go for the person they love. When Hallie joins a small town Fire Station, she meets resistance from everyone except her Captain and his superior. She goes about trying to do her job and slowly wins over many of her teammates who originally fought to get her to quit. That support is just what she needs when she finds herself being framed by unknown forces for arson. Many twists, turns and surprising will kept me guessing until the very end.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
I don’t read a lot of first responder romances (just because there aren’t heaps out there), but the tension and the emotional impact in this story gripped my heart and WOULD NOT LET GO. Between the gut wrenching emergency calls (I cried for the little boy) to the drama of the interpersonal and romantic relationships, this book was read in one sitting - I could not put it down!
I love this author and the stories she writes. I am so glad i get to read them. I am hooked in right away and do not want to put it down. I love all the characters and how they are in each other's books. It makes me want to read more about that character and what there is story is. I love it! This story is no different. I have wanted to read Becker's story for a while now, so thanks for the opportunity, i loved reading his story. Its HOT! Fireman HOT! And i love Hallie.
Becker is the captain of the fire department, Hallie is the first female fire-woman to join the team. She faces backlash from the surrounding community and Becker's protective instinct kicks in and sparks fly. I am a sucker for women in non-traditional roles (I'm a woman in construction) and this hit a soft spot for me. This is a quick easy read with plenty of action and some steam.

This is book three in the series and makes for an interesting read. The characters are written well and the story moves along well. There are plenty of things to hold your interest such as a good concept and twists and turns. The story that takes you on an emotional ride.

I enjoyed this story so much because we have a woman firefighter and she is feisty. I was a little put off that almost everyone on the team was against her being there. Talk about misogynists! But I fell for Tate and their chemistry was fire in and of itself. There is suspense and danger and the tension had me burning up.
The third book in the Heroes With Badges series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Hallie and Captain Tate Becker's story of suspense, drama, lies, villains, a frame up, twists, turns, and romance, I enjoyed reading this story.
