Christine Zolendz is one of my favorites. Why? Because no matter what type of romance she writes, dark romance, paranormal romance, or steamy romance her books are always super witty and fun. I love to laugh when I read and I can always count on that when reading one of hers. This book was way on the steamy side, but it was also laugh out loud funny and an all around great story.

Lexa Novak is having a bad week. After finding her fiancé cheating on her the night of her bachelorette party, she calls off her wedding. It’s the right thing to do. Jameson Holt is the big boss’s son and way out of Lexa’s league. Something happens between them and he starts to see her in a new light… James propositions Lexa. Three weeks. Just the two of them. Living out every fantasy she’s ever had.

The chemistry between this couple was off the charts. Both characters are great. James and Lexa are fun and flirty together, and those texts between them cracked me up.
“You need to sue my phone for sexual harassment. My phone is a dirty, pervy old man.”

I also loved all the @Kavon twitter posts. Seriously. Those were so great!

“Told my girlfriend I wanted to try anal. She told me she’s been having sex with an asshole for years.”

This is one of those books I read cover to cover because I didn’t want to put it down. It’s well written, steamy and hilarious. If you’re looking for a quick read that’s funny and brings the heat, pick this one up!

Wow! This book surprised me in such a good way. Reading the synopsis I’ve never expected to enjoy this one so much. Yeah, of course I expected some steam but I never expected to be so hilarious, entertaining and so damn sexy. Needless to say I was hooked from the beginning.

The story fallows Lexa, a young woman who coming home from her bachelorette party walks in on her fiancée, Kevin screwing around with one of her coworkers. She’s devastated, because he was supposed to be the one. She decides to call off her wedding since she knows herself, so she knows that will never again trust the a$$hole who cheated on her. This experience left her questioning herself and also left her with some insecurities. Lexa works as a fact checker for InTrend Magazine. Did I mention her ex who is the mail room guy and the b*tch who slept with him are working at the same Magazine? Oh…yeah! Lexa doesn’t like it, but she can’t do anything about it.

Jameson Holt in the son of the man who owns InTrend Magazine and Lexa’s boss. He’s the managing editor and one fact is clear about him…

“He had the allure of a bad boy and successful businessman blended perfectly together—like he majored in it in college.”

James’s girlfriend is the one who slept with Lexa’s fiancée. During a conference he finally notices Lexa. She’s beautiful, smart, down to earth and says anything she thinks, no games. Lexa and James becomes some sort of friends, laughing and flirting together until the chemistry between them becomes too much.

description

So James decides to proposition Lexa. He wants three weeks with her. Just the two of them. These three weeks they would play out every one of her fantasies. It goes without saying Lexa is more than ready to be satisfied.

“No rules. Anything you want to try, we try. No feeling ashamed or insecure. Then we come back here and pretend nothing happened. You want to experiment and find yourself. I want to fuck you like I've never wanted to fuck anyone before.”

The story like I mentioned above was equally funny as hell and very, very sexy. The first half of the book made me LMAO more times than I can count. Lexa was a very endearing character and I have to say I loved her personality. James was sex on a stick, captivating, alluring, caring and I enjoyed his character very much. Lexa and James’s banter was fantastically done and the texts messages between them and also Lexa’s monologues cracked me up.

The second half of the book is sexier and I enjoyed it as much as the first half. The chemistry between these two was off the charts. Loved it! The sexual tension fabulous and the sex scenes…OMG…so damn hot.

I’m not gonna lie, the story was predictable and while I usually care about this aspect in a story, here it didn’t matter at all to me. Honestly because I was to enthralled by the story.

Overall, a great fun, witty, sexy read!

My first step into spinsterhood: making innocent children cry. Next up, adopting a dozen cats, buying a big vibrator, and learning the etiquette of prissy repressiveness. God, the bitterness and anger were overwhelming.

Know what I love? When a book manages to catch me by complete surprise, pleasantly so, and end up being so much more than I had thought it would be. Suite 269 was that book for me. Witty, laugh out loud hilarious, and sexy as all hell, I read it in practically one sitting with a goofy smile on my face for the entire time (And some ice for my ovaries on standby) It's not often that I'll tell you that my favorite thing about a book was the heroine. And by that, I mean it almost never freaking happens. Unless the heroine manages to channel my inner sarcastic pervert. I mean the woman's favorite cartoon was Pinky and The Brain for the love of god! We need to be besties here! And if you don't know what that cartoon is, shame on you, and don't speak to me again until you watch it, mkay?!
I could swear if I looked on my shoulder in that moment I'd see a horny little devil prodding me with an enormous penis-shaped pitchfork, chanting, "Kiss him. Kiss him. Kiss him."

What if you met a man that promised to make all your deepest, darkest fantasies come true? No questions, no judgement. That's precisely the chance that Lexa Novak gets. But this book is so much more than just that. So let's set the scene, shall we?

Lexa is coming home from her bachelorette party when she walks in on her fiance letting her coworker use his penis as a pogo stick....for her vagina. You get me? He's cheating on, mkay. So with her pride wounded and her upcoming nuptuals in tatters, Lexa tries to focus on the one thing she still has going for her...her job and the conference she has to attend for it. Even if she has to drown herself in alcohol to get through it.

Enter stage right, Jameson Holt. The son of the man that owns the magazine she works as a lowly fact checker for, and her boss. Did I happen to mention that he makes her ovaries scream in delight with his mere present alone?

Because the man is pure sex on a stick. But that's all the detail you'll be getting from because what's the fun in that? The best part of the reading experience here is to find out how all these puzzle pieces click together.

This was such a fun and sexy read. I was laughing my fool head off for basically the entire first half of the book. Their banter and the text messages alone are enough to make you giggle. But then add into the mix Lexa's self depreciating and hilarious inner monologue, and you got yourself a hell of a winner. I'd suggest keeping some ice for those ovaries for the second half, however.

While there were parts of the book that were fairly predictable, it never took a thing away from it. At least not from me. I loved it from beginning to finish. It's not often that I'll find a book that can appease my inner pervert AND make me laugh all in one.

I've read and loved this author's PNR titles, (Mad World) but this was my first contemporary romance from her and it sure as hell will not be my last. Clearly I've been missing out and I need to go check out the woman's entire backlist. If you're looking for a fun, witty, and uber sexy read, you really can't go wrong with this one.

I love being surprised and I love when a book is just more. Suite 269 is definitely more. I started this one thinking it was a steamy read about exploring your fantasies, which it is. However, what I really loved is the romance and love story between Jameson and Lexa.

"You want to experiment and find yourself. I want to fuck you like you like I’ve never wanted to fuck anyone before.”

Lexa Novak is a fact checker for InTrend Magazine and engaged to the mail guy, Trevor. The night of her bachelorette party she finds out Trevor sleeping with one of their coworkers. In one minute her life as she knew it completely unravels, Lexa has to decide what to do now. Forgive Trevor or call off the wedding.

Jameson Holt’s father owns InTrend Magazine. The magazine has been struggling for years and they are torn about what to do with the publication. During a conference Jameson finally really sees Lexa. It isn’t a case of love at first sight, it’s lust.

Jameson and Lexa develop this flirtatious and that’s all it really is at first. I loved these moments between the two of them. The text messages between Lexa and Jameson made me actually laugh out loud. I loved their relationship. I loved how it was fun and easy. There is this underlying chemistry, but neither really move on their feelings. Jameson isn’t sure what Lexa is going to do or wants. Lexa knows Jameson isn’t interested in a real relationship, regardless she is knows she is too unsure of herself for that.

Jameson decides to proposition Lexa. He isn’t interested in more, but can’t pass up the chance to have her. Jameson selflessly offers to help Lexa explore all her fantasies. Three weeks, no commitments, just for her pleasure.

As I said I was just expecting this steamy read and I am so happy with how much more it was. I loved Jameson and Lexa’s connection. I love how they developed a friendship first. I loved seeing the build up and flirting. I also love the added angst and twists. It wasn’t too over the top, just more. I highly recommend Suite 269 if you are looking for something sweet, fun, flirty and sexy!

4 Funny and Sexy Stars!

I'm starting to think that rom-com books are really for me. Lately I've been enjoying hilarious romance books because they're simply irresistible and they're best time passers. Suite 269 is yet another book that I've enjoyed in this genre.

This book is one of those friends-with-benefits kind of stories, the kind of story which I am a sucker for. It features the heroine Lexa Novak, Fact Checker of InTrend Magazine. Three weeks prior to her wedding, she found out that her fiancé cheated on her. His reason? It's because he wanted to try other girl for a while because she's boring in bed. Beyond hurt, Lexa decided to unleash her sensuality and go on a vacation and make her fantasies come true-- together with Jameson Holt, her boss and the son of the owner of InTrend magazine.

It's my first Christine Zolendz read and I loved her writing. She has this way of entertaining her readers with her fast paced, easy writing style. Like any other rom-coms, this book didn't fail to make me crack up page after page. Lexa and James's sultry dialogues just did it all! Not to mention their sexy innuendos and their exchange of text messages which was all kinds of LOL. I really laughed out loud at the amount a times autocorrect changed James's text into a dirty word.

The steamy moments were also the ones that brought out all the best in this book. And when it comes to Lexa and James's chemistry, it was so on point I can't help but ship this couple like nobody's business!

Not only did this book featured smut but it also had a substance in it. I loved how it discouraged sexism and how the twist in the end surprised me.

Light, easy, and very entertaining, this book is one I will recommend to fans of sexy and hilarious romance books like Wallbanger by Alice Clayton, Smut by Karina Halle, and Shine Not Burn by Elle Casey.

This is one of those books where the blurb gives nothing away as to what the story is about, other than that it is an erotic tale of a woman who has a chance to fulfil all of her sexual fantasies and decides to go for it. Sometimes a vague blurb can work in your favour because you don't have many expectations at all and In this case Suite 269 most definitely exceeded them.

The story starts off with Lexa Novak finding out her boyfriend is a cheat, but not only that, he is cheating on her with the bitch from hell from work. They all work for inTrend magazine, Lexa is a fact checker, Trager is the Mail Room guy and the bitch is a top contributor. Now the gossip of the workplace, Lexa is humiliated and upset, but realises that she's more upset about the embarrassment of it all than the fact that she has to cancel a wedding.

Jameson Holt is the son of the magazine's owner, and managing editor. He and his father have been trying to save the dying magazine for a while now but are failing. They need help, and fast, but unfortunately the bitch seems to be the only one that can help, much to the chagrin of Lexa.

Jameson hasn't really noticed the bland looking fact checker before, but when the office rumours bring her to his attention, he suddenly realises that he's been walking around with his eyes closed for a long time now, because this beautiful and witty woman makes him feel all kinds of things that he's never really felt with a woman before, so after a few weeks of friendly banter and subtle flirting, he makes her an offer she can't refuse.

So there we have it, not only is there a nice build up, some hilarious dialogue, a lot of sexual tension and an explosive culmination of said tension, there is a really lovely love story between two soul-mates who have finally found each other.

Fun characters, sweet romance and high on steam = a really great read.

This is a standalone novel, told in dual POV.

3.5 hot and steamy stars!

My first Christine Zolendz and definitely not my last. Suite 269 is light, smutty read that I enjoyed.

Lexa Novack is a fact-checker of a failing magazine. She's about to get married to Kevin, the mail room guy but when she discovered Kevin cheating on her with a co-worker, she started questioning herself. This is where Jameson Holt comes in. James is the son of the owner of the magazine Lexa worked for. He's hot and it was his girlfriend that Kevin cheated on Lexa with. Jameson and Lexa struck up an unusual friendship which turned into hot FWB when James propositioned Lexa to go with him on her supposed honeymoon.

This is truly my fave part of the book. The sexy times were off the charts sizzling hot...and funny. Lexa is a bit of a dork whose confidence took a beating after her fiance cheated on her. The chemistry between her and Holt captured and held my attention.

Now, there are some side plots going on regarding the magazine which I feel wasn't really developed at all. There's a big secret reveal that I wish was explained more or at least developed. It was just there and it didn't really add anything to the character's arc. The only reason I was able to guess the big secret was because it was staring at me right in the face the whole time. But plot-wise, it was like "Huh, okay." It felt flat and it didn't add anything significant to the story. The idea was great but the execution wasn't. It was, for me, a wasted opportunity.

Still, I couldn't complain because I really did enjoy this one. If you're looking for smutastic light read, I'd recommend this book.

“You may think I have a dirty mind, but it’s just explicitly creative.”

Lexa Novak wanted to write better sex scenes but her experience isn't one to brag about. I'm pretty much an easily embarrassed, one-man, only-in-a-bed, lights off, average kind of girl.

That all changes when she catches the eye of Jameson Holt . Lexa's oblivious to her own beauty and her personality is down to earth, nothing like the usual girls who graces his bed. They have something in common, and with the help of his phone who clearly doesn't understand boundaries, he makes her an offer he hopes she won't refuse ;)
"Baby, I’m going to look at it. I’m going to kiss it, lick it, bite it, smack it— Lex, I’m going to own that ass.”

If you had three weeks to live out your fantasies, what would they be???
#1 Be Dominated and ravished— spanking included
#2 Make a sex tape
#3 Have a stranger watch me have sex
#4 Watch another couple
#5 Have sex in a cab
#6 Go to a strip club with a guy
#7 Use sex toy
#8 Anal
#9 Have an orgasm from someone’s mouth
#10 Have someone fall madly-desperately in love with me

There's only way to find out...and it all begins in Suite 269.

If there is something I have come to love about Christine Zolendz, it's her ability to write verbal sparring like no ones business. I mean seriously, the delivery of it is always sexy with a hint of funny. Suite 269 is more than a friends with benefits kind of read, you don't get much from the description but its definitely a welcomed surprise. James is to die for, utterly charming and has the good to back it up. Lexa is Ms. Independent, and you gotta respect her for that. This was an easy fun sexy read, recommended for sure!

3.5 Laugh My Ass Off Stars

But let me tell you the truth about women. We want it all. We want to be completely and utterly cherished but at the same time treated like our inner whores. The secret is that we don't want to ever talk about it. We want you to just know. So not only are we liars, we're a bunch of crazy ass bitches.

Soooo, here's the deal...this could've been a 5 star read for me. Sweet baby Jesus, I wanted this to fill my 5 star void, really I did. I truly loved almost everything about this story. The general premise for awesomeness was there. The humor and smartassness was most definitely there. Unfortunately, I kept reaching for what this could be. Other issues, besides the three week fantasy stuff, were kind of front and center then ignored. Work stuff, relationship stuff. I realize this is an "accidental" book for lack of a better term, in that it was started as a way to practice writing love scenes. And those are most definitely hot! But other issues were introduced along with the sexing. I wanted the potential angst the story was giving me. I needed a couple of folks to get their proverbial asses kicked. The set up was there, damn it! When it comes right down to it, this read like someone took a kick ass outline for an erotic and smartly funny romance and only finished three fourths of the story.

27-year-old bitter bitch that just found her fiancé banging a younger, hotter model needs a well-endowed man not afraid to hammer her till the break of fucking dawn.

As much as I laughed my ass off and felt all the good feels when I was reading Suite 269, I couldn't help feeling like I was getting short changed. If you're going to hint at the goods, Ms. Zolendz, don't be afraid to give it all you got!

Lexa Novak lives in New York & works for InTrend Magazine that is part of one of the biggest publishing groups around called Holt Media. Her life is going great until she catches her fiancé cheating three weeks before the wedding. To make matters worse it's hard to start over when your ex works for the same company & everyone at work knows your personal business.

Lexa has to attend a work conference in Chicago. She is still trying to accept her new reality & isn't really handling things well. While at the conference she crosses paths with the head of the companies son Jameson Holt. He's the managing editor of the magazine & is also her boss. She's never really been around him much, but seeing him in person she can't help noticing how gorgeous he is. One look at him sets all her girl parts on fire! ;))

They run into each other at the hotel & sparks ignite between them one evening. While at the conference they continue to be intrigued with one another. James seeks her out at work when they return home & they form a friendship. He loves how real she is. She's funny, has no filter & makes him laugh. He's comfortable with her & finds her refreshing. He also finds her to be absolutely stunning & wants her. They both want to be carefree, have some fun & give in to their growing attraction. They make an arrangement of sorts to explore each other without judgments or commitments. James wants to show Lexa what she's been missing & Lexa wants EVERYTHING James has to offer!

-He hadn't even kissed me yet and my body was his.

-The way he looked at me. The way his eyes roamed over my body, followed by his hands and his lips.

-God, I felt wanted, desired- cherished even.

-My body ached for him.

-"You're beautiful."

-"Do you even realize how stunningly beautiful you are, Lex?"

-Does she have any idea- even a tinge of a notion of the effect she has over me?

-I wanted her. More than I'd ever wanted anyone.

“27-year-old bitter bitch that just found her fiancé banging a young, hotter model needs a well-endowed man not afraid to hammer her till the break of fucking dawn. ”

4.5 hot and hilarious stars

I am a mad Christine Zolendz fan and jumped all over this book as soon as I heard about it.

That synopsis gives you the impression that you’re going into a dark and dirty erotic story, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Erotic – yes. Dirty – hell yes, but this book is absolutely hilarious, with a fun, chemistry-filled romance that had me grinning the whole way through. I absolutely loved it.

27 year old Lexa’s world crumbles around her when she finds her fiancé shagging a colleague on the floor of their apartment just three weeks before their wedding. Of course she is devastated by the betrayal, but then she starts to wonder whether she actually dodged a bullet, seeing as though her fiancé didn't exactly rock her world.

Away on a business trip and drowning her sorrows in whatever alcohol she can get her hands on, she finds herself drunkenly pouring her heart out to her insanely sexy boss, Jameson Holt. And when Lexa pours her heart out, she does it hilariously and with a complete lack of filter

“Let me tell you the truth about women. We want it all. We want to be completely and utterly cherished but at the same time treated like our inner whores. The secret is that we don’t want to ever talk about it. We want you to just know. So not only are we liars, we’re a bunch of crazy ass bitches.”

Lexa has always had a bit of a thing for her confident, sexy and notoriously single boss, and James surprises her by joining her on her drunken tirade where the two of them engage in an epic banter-fest. And as James sees Lexa out of her professional work persona for the first time, he gets a glimpse of who she truly is and he finds himself seriously attracted to the feisty, playful bombshell.

The two of them develop a fast friendship which is simmering with smutty undertones. Full of flirty banter and innuendo, there is a light-hearted teasing feel to their interactions and their conversations and text messages had me laughing out loud.

Jameson: I just nailed you
Lexa: Strange. I didn’t feel a thing.
Jameson: I just EMAILED you. I swear to GOD I typed emailed and my phone changed it
Lexa: Sure you did

“You need to sue my phone for sexual harassment. My phone is a dirty, pervy old man,” he chuckled.
“I dunno, I think he’s sort of cute. I’m single now; maybe I should ask him out for coffee.”
“Why not sent him some dirty selfies later tonight, see what he thinks?” he smirked back.
“As always, sir, our verbal sparring is quite intoxicating,” I teased dramatically.
“I’m serious. All my phone seems to want to do is sext with you”

The story is written in dual POV so we get to see them both crushing on and lusting after the other, and their monologues are just as crude and hilarious as their dialogue.

His eyes darted up to mine – the intense gaze he gave me spread a fire over my face and down my neck. You’re so hot…Can I put my vagina on your face, just for a little bit?

The sexual tension between them is INSANE and builds to epic levels, and when Lexa confesses to James that she has a list of sexual fantasies that she has always been too shy to explore, he pounces on the opportunity to 'help'.

“Three weeks. Three weeks we will lock each other in that honeymoon suite and we play out every one of your fantasies. No rules. Anything you want to try, we try. No feeling ashamed or insecure. Then we come back here and pretend nothing happened. You want to experiment and find yourself. I want to fuck you like I’ve never wanted to fuck anyone before."

HOLY HELL, this book is hot! James and Lexa are absolutely on fire together, and James more than meets up to his promise to make all of Lexa's fantasies come true and each encounter is sizzling and dripping with intensity.

“There’s no holding back now, Lex. Let go. Everything you want I’m going to give you.”

Neither of them can deny their intense attraction, and every time they are together their emotions become more heavily involved. What will happen when their three weeks together comes to a close.

“Is there anything else I could give you? Anything you want?”
Flashes of heat raced along my face and down my neck.
Yes. Fall for me. Fight for us. Want me. Don’t let me go. Please don’t let me go.

I love these characters! They're both funny and endearing and very relatable, with their own issues that they need to sort out. And together they are sensational! Obviously they're hot with great chemistry, but you can feel something 'more' between them, and there is a nice amount of emotion woven throughout.

Tied into the romantic drama is the drama going on at work. The magazine they work for is struggling to get by, and despite all of Lexa's efforts, she keeps getting pushed into the background when she knows that she has so much more to offer. Add to that the fact that her fiance is not willing to fade into the background, and his new 'girlfriend' is out to get Lexa, and the story builds to a climax which is predictable, but still enjoyable and satisfying as it all unfolds.

Yeah, the storyline may not be original, and yeah, it’s obvious how it’s all going to play out, but this book is so much fun, I loved watching it all play out. I laughed, I swooned, and I fanned myself a whole hell of a lot.

Bravo Christine Zolendz! She has once again shown us what an incredibly versatile author she is - from paranormal to dark and angsty romance to funny romantic smut, the woman can do no wrong and I can't wait to see what she writes next.

I loved it - 4.5 stars.

3,5 STARS!

This is my first Christine Zolendz and kinda a good read. I didn't expect Suite 269 would be light and kinda funny. I thought I will find gloomy and dark aura around it. That was my opinion because of the cover. LOL so don't judge the book by it's cover. So because some of my friends and my favorite bloggers reviewed this, I think I have to jump in, right?

Lexa Novak works as a fact checker at a (almost death)magazine corporation. Her future marriage has been ruined because her fiance cheated on her. Lexa is strong enough to moving on behind the sadness and disappointed on herself that cause her insecurity. Enter Jameson Holt who happen to be her boss. Apparently, the boss's girl is the one who cheated on her ex-future husband. Their first time exchange stories made them close. Close enough to make both of them wants each other.

description

So, what is suite 269? You should read it by yourself. Whoops! Not gonna spoil it. Their sexual tension is amazingly HOT. Their interaction is sizzling and ready to burn each other. I loved how they're together. I'm not gonna complaint about it. James makes her like the only woman in the world. Like the most beautiful woman. How could I resist this?

There is BUT... some issues just didn't work for me. Beside romantic relationship between Lexa and James, they're disappoint me in the outside of it. After so much and long story about their working environment, the conclusion didn't satisfy me enough. It was awkward and weird. Lexa isn't strong enough to push herself and especially, James. She's kinda weak in this aspect. I thought she's gonna be kickass heroine with her brilliant work ethic. And James, he's like a typical of male species. Handsome, alpha sexy male with good humor but it's doesn't enough for me. There is nothing special about him beside the appearance. Kinda okay guy.

description

The story itself somehow predictable and mediocre. I enjoyed the text humor between Lexa and James. It's cute and flirty. I have no doubt with their chemistry but for the end, it was too rushed. Lexa is too forgivable. Lack of development and no depth. Overall, Suite 269 is a quick read and enjoyable enough. I would love to recommend this for anyone who likes romantic comedy story. Very quick, light and entertaining.

When Angie raves about a book, I know that I will be one-clicking it and loving it! Suite 269 started popping up all over my social media pages with everyone raving about this book and I knew that I had to stop everything to see what all the fuss was about.

Lexa Novack walks in to find her fiancé cheating on her. Not only her live in fiancé – going to be married in just a few weeks fiancé – but also her co-worker who she has to spend the next few days with at a work function. Toss in that the skank is also a co-worker and Lexa pretty much has a rough couple of days ahead of herself. Can her life get any worse? Oh, yeah it can. Because word has spread about the affair and everyone knows about it, even her hotter than hell boss.

James never really noticed Lexa before, but with all the hushed whispers he suddenly can’t keep his eyes off of her. After a few encounters, he is ready to offer her the chance of a life time. Three weeks, the two of them and all of her fantasies come to life.

But make no mistake, this wasn’t just about checking off a bunch of hot things to do in the sack off of a list. Lexa and James had explosive chemistry from the very start and it only got better as their connection grew. My heart broke for Lexa and all that she had to get through, but I loved how she gave into her attraction and took the risk. I expected I’d enjoy this book, but I ended up loving it – unable to put it down.

A mix of humor, wit, emotion and some melt your socks of sexy times – Suite 269 was so much more than I bargained for.

“You’re so hot… Can I put my vagina on your face, just for a little bit?”

As I am sitting here writing my review, I am slapping my forehead as to why I haven't I read anything from Christine Zolendz before. Seriously, I went into reading Suite 269 without really knowing what to expect with this book. I hardly read the blurb and just read "Three weeks. No rules. Any fantasy. Anything goes." Okay, if you must know I just read that and was sold!!! Who wouldn't want to one-click a book just reading those four lines...right?

“Lex, I 've been walking around with your panties in my pocket since you tossed them at me. Just the scent of them makes me hard. Tell me your fantasies.”

#Suite269

Fun!!!! That pretty sums up Suite 269. This book was just downright fun, sexy, witty, smart, steamy and hilarious!!!! Christine Zolendz did an amazing job with this book. It was one of those reads that had you laughing out loud and giggling.

“Jameson: I just nailed you
Lexa: Strange. I didn’t feel a thing.
Jameson: I just EMAILED you. I swear to GOD I typed emailed and my phone changed it
Lexa: Sure you did”

When Lexa Novak returned back home from her bachelorette party, she never expected to see her fiance ass deep in one of her co-worker. Yes, that image of seeing her fiance cheating on her weeks before their wedding was the last straw that broke the camel's back. Disgusted and hurt by the betrayal, Lexa knew she could find comfort with her new best friend Jack Daniels. Well after trying to drink away her sorrow, anger, hurt, and heartbreak, Lexa didn't expect to find comfort and friendship with the boss's son, Jameson Holt.

“Three weeks we lock each other in that honeymoon suite and we play out every one of your fantasies. No rules. Anything you want to try, we try. No feeling ashamed or insecure. Then we come back here and pretend nothing happened.”

James and Lexa's relationship is not your typical boss and employee working relationship. Both are insanely attracted to one another, but they have kept it just to simply flirting and lots of sexual auto-correct text messages. So when Lexa wanted to explore her sexuality and let loose, James offered a suggestion that she couldn't resist. Three weeks and he will fulfill all Lexa's sexual fantasies. What woman wouldn't want that...right? As they embark on their three week of debauchery, Lexa and James soon finds themselves falling deep for each other. Will three weeks make James realize that his fantasy girl is standing right in front of him all along?

#Suite269_1

The chemistry between Lexa and James was off the charts!!!! Seriously, it was like a blazing inferno that never once fizzled. So if you are looking for a book that was all around a fun, sexy and hilarious read then you must read Suite 269. And trust me, this book will have you giggling and laughing at Jameson's auto-correct fail text messages!!!

Did you know this wasn’t even supposed to be a book? That this was only a writing exercise to help the author write better sex scenes?

Let me say….I AM SO GLAD THIS TURNED INTO A BOOK.

It’s witty, insanely sexy, loaded with sarcastic humor, and full of some passionate scenes that will leave you all sorts of hot and bothered.

description

Lexa, our hysterical heroine, has been having a tough time. You see, she’s engaged to an ass, which she happens to work with, who cheats on her 3 weeks before their wedding day. And the girl he cheats with? She works with Lexa, too. And her ass of a fiancé’s excuse as to why he cheated? Because Lexa is too insecure, too work driven and not sexually adventurous enough for his lame self. And our poor girl believes this.

Insert our SEXY hero James – Lexa’s delicious boss. He, along with the entire office, hears about what happened to Lexa, and he can’t help but feel sorry for her. But after some comical drunken conversations at a work conference, even funnier text messages between the two, and a STEAMY first kiss, James just can’t seem to get Lexa out of his head. So after he learns Lexa’s honeymoon is already paid off and she plans to go, he gives her this proposition:

Three weeks.

No rules.

Any fantasy.

Anything goes.

James wants nothing more than to have Lexa realize what a beautiful, sexy woman she really is, and he has no problem being the one who shows her. So he has Lexa write out a list of every fantasy she’s ever wanted to act out, and he makes it his mission to get through that list. Needless to say, this gives us some insanely sexy moments..and I swear I think I actually blushed during some. When you get to that beach scene..you’ll know exactly what I mean.

This was a short, light, funny and sexy read and I flew through it. Christine can do no wrong !

This was a fun, quick and dirty little read. Lexa is a fact-checker for a fledgling magazine. Three weeks before her wedding, Lexa walks in on her co-worker, Sophie, riding the bologna pony with her fiancé—aka Trager the Mailroom Guy. Jameson Holt is the editor of the magazine and Sophie’s boyfriend—evidently, it’s one big incestuous playground over at InTrend Magazine.

When Lexa and Jameson get together to commiserate, she confides that Trager blames his infidelity on her sexual repression. However, Lexa confides that their sex life has been lukewarm at best, and she longs to be more sexually adventurous. Jameson is more than happy to lend her a hand, or a cock as the case may be – ahem. Although the wedding is off, the honeymoon has been paid for, so Jameson offers to accompany Lexa on her three-week non-honeymoon. He tells Lexa to make a list of all her sexual fantasies, and he will make them come true. No judgment, no rules, and at the end of the trip they will return to their separate lives. It sounds like the perfect plan, as long as neither get too attached.

Lexie is adorably neurotic, and her inner monologues are hilarious. As you can imagine, Jameson is a freak in the sheets, and the club, and the beach, and the cab, and the… well, you get the picture. Holy moly is this hot! There’s a side plot involving saving the magazine, but let’s call a spade a spade. This is smut. Entertaining smut, but smut nonetheless.

I recommend this book if you’re in the mood for a humorous guilty pleasure.

* * * *

I am going to keep this brief. I had my friend Pam's update on this book fly by and it caught my attention. Thank you, Pam, for always having interesting reads...

This was a very witty, smart, insightful and smexy read. I loved the idea of it, the way it all came together and even when I figured out the outcome early, I didn't care.
The draw was a very entertaining, sexy read with actual intelligence thrown in.

There were two important concepts at play here. The first is the inability to ask for what you want. Women have this issue more than men and constantly, in and out of bed. The idea and how it was addressed worked for me. When applied to sexual fantasies, it was very sensual and well written. Laundry should be done before opening the kindle.

The other theme has to do with being taken for granted.
People will ignore what is in front of them. Talent is everywhere but if it doesn't look a particular way or have a "branding or following" then it can be under appreciated and over looked. This theme was part of the story and relevant.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and will look into the other books from this author.

4.5 Fall for me stars

This is a first read for me from Christine Zolendz, and it definitely won’t be my last.

We meet Lexa Novak at her hen (bachelorette) party, and three weeks away from her wedding. Needless to say, things don’t quite go the way she planned, and her life is thrown into utter turmoil.

Lexa works as a fact checker at InTrend magazine. She tirelessly expresses to be given a chance to contribute more, but her big boss and owner of the magazine, Remington Holt, passes her over.

The owner’s son, Jameson, finds himself in an unfamiliar predicament, and suddenly notices Alexa. A connection is made and then thoroughly explored.

This is definitely one of those stories that has no pressure to excel, given the blurb, but as you read, becomes so much more, which is a most pleasant and unexpected surprise.

This little gem had humour and hotness oozing out of every page. The author’s style was so easy, so natural. I will definitely be delving more into her back catalogue.

”God you’re gorgeous. How do you not want to touch yourself all the time?”

First I need to say that I did not read the blurb. At. All.
I heard Christine wrote a new book and it was a little on the naughty side.
Christine?
Naughty?
I'm in!!
I loved it!

This was a different take on an office romance.
It was laugh out loud funny mixed with naughty sexiness.
When I say naughty.. I mean hot as hell!

Lexa wants it all, but is just too insecure to ask for it.
She's been burned in the worst way imaginable, and what better way to make her forget, than a romp with a sexy new man?
And Holy Shit is he hot!

She's the entire package, yet she just doesn't see it.

I love her!
She may be soft spoken in the bedroom, but she's headstrong, smart, spunky and fun.
Her quirks and verbal diarrhea had me laughing out loud!

"We are a group of unsatisfied liars.... But let me tell you the truth about women. We want to be completely and utterly cherished but at the same time treated like our inner whores. The secret is that we don't want to ever talk about it. We want you to just know. So not only are we liars, we're a bunch of crazy ass bitches."

Christine Zolendz is an awesome author!!! I love the flow of her writing - very easy to read. And I'm amazed that she can step into different genres and still pull it off. Every time.

Suite 269 was a hot, sexy, fun read!!

Loved Lexa. She was a likable female lead. LOVED her verbal diarrhea when she drank!

James. Oh man. He was so hot.

Phenomenal chemistry between the two.

The texting was HILARIOUS.

At around 50% ish, the heat kicks into high gear. Wow. Hella sexy.

Bottom line: great characters, awesome writing, hot chemistry.

Read it!!!!

Didn't really love Suite 269 but it was a fun quickie, full of steamy scenes and a plausible story line.

Kind of saw the ending coming a mile away and the 'twist' wasn't really a surprise-twist at all ! (It was fairly obvious,to me at least, who this mysterious person was.) So that was Strike 1 against the book during the final rating.
Strike 2 was the lack of connection I felt with the characters in this book, personally.

Overall,Fun evening read but wouldn't really recommend or re-read.

Sweet, light and sexy read. It was a perfect book in between other books when I couldn't decide what to read next. The plot was fairly predictable, but it wasn't cliché. The main characters were likable and their choices did not make me want to rip my hair out. Overall, it was a nice read. Not something I will ever go back to, but I did enjoy it while I was reading it :)

4 "giggling" stars!

Read this one a few weeks ago. Just got around to reviewing it. Sadly , in the time span I have read quite a few others and the details are quite fuzzy.

But what I do remember can be narrowed down to the following:

1. Always

2.Sometimes

Annd...

3. But there were moments...

4. But overall ...it was just a giggling fiesta.

Oh and its one of those books where I prefer the girl over the dude. No matter the abs. Sorry.... no matter the acts ( sheepish grin )

P.s. Thanks for the amazing recommendation Quirky Omega

I am floating on pure book bliss. Happy to say I had this feeling the ENTIRE time I read Suite 269. It had EVERYTHING I have always wanted when reading. I had my opinions after reading the blurb and knowing the title but what I thought had NOTHING to do with the actual storyline. I loved that the plot wasn't only about Suite 269. I liked that going in you think it's all revolved around this suite but as you go deeper there is so much more involved. There was a catching story before we step foot inside. It made the connection all the better. The plot was there, the chemistry and connection was there. The characters were some of the most real likable people. The writing was fabulous and had me inhaling this book. Every moment was real and original. The connection!!! Ahhh....seriously. It's hard to describe my feelings with words. It had the perfect mix of fun induced laughter, flirty and physical moments, with many heart bouncing conversations.

"Imagine being with someone that never looks differently at you when you tell them your secrets, imagine feeling so comfortable with someone that you can be true to yourself and your demons The sex must be mind-blowing. So tell me, Lex, what's your fantasy?"

"Right now, climbing onto your lap and feeling your tongue in my mouth."

"I want that too."

Lexa is now my favorite heroine. I loved everything about her. Her no brain to mouth function. I loved how she played and I loved how she PLAYED (wink). She added so many levels. Even though she stated she wanted to be better- at things, she was smooth. Real. I now have a really big crush!! With this being her story, she had to kick out some trash. But, because of this wasted rubbish, her grass was definitely greener on the other side. It was good as she did some dirty work but the next round of dirty was much more pleasurable!!!

"What do you want?"
Why, why, why did that sound sexual to me?

"But...but...but what about the cat?"
"I'll tell him you died."

Lets not forget the flirting and the sex. Enter Jameson Holt. Even loving Lexa the way I do, Holt is just a tinsy bit under Lexa. He was amazing. Talk about sex on a stick. Knowing, with authors note, this almost wasn't a book hurts my heart. As part of an exercise she surpassed all old boring techniques for me. I LOVED the flirting. I love it more when it's both characters. And even more when I feel it. When it's real and not pushed or made to drop jaws. Holt helps Lexa bring her mental thoughts to vocal and it wasn't much of a push. Being him and all! I didn't skim over one sex scene. I didn't rush or skip a single kiss. In-fact. I've already reread a few!

"And we're going to need extra insurance on the room as well,"
"Why?"
"Because Lex, we're definitely going to break their bed."

"Everything off. Turn around. Ben over,"
"Not too comfortable with people look at my ass,"
"Look at it? Baby, I'm going to look at it. I'm going to kiss it, lick it, bite it, smack it- Lex, I'm going to own that ass."

This also had some drama...yes! It wasn't all just a lovey dovey sex you up kind of story! I loved that too. But it didn't make the book. What evolved around it made the book. How it handle, the aftermath, he human truth. Listening. It isn't the type of drama that takes over. It's not the type that makes the characters shrivel up and hide away either.

I don't reread many books, not that I don't have favorites that could be reread but Suite 269 will get reread. I guarantee it. It gave me too many feels for me to put it in a pile and forget about it. I just bet it will be better my 2nd and 3rd time around. PS- I'll also make sure everyone else reads it.
