#1 in Wanda Amard's With the Bad Boy series Vinn will risk it all for his barely legal neighbor. Will she be worth the trouble?
Life post-graduation is full of choices and opportunities. Except for Kimber Green. Her future is nothing but gray. Until he shows up in the big fancy house on the river.
Vinn Thrower gets one more chance at life. After five years locked away, he’s ready to fly the straight and narrow. No more crime, no more risky choices. It should be easy. Until Kimber shows up offering her cookies on a silver platter.
The two of them together will bring drama, but Kimber doesn’t plan to let that stop her from getting what she wants.
A completed romantic saga full of drama, deadly choices, and passion.
-------- This series was originally published as a serial series. Encounter includes the first five books: Encounter, Taken, Wishes, Escape, and Romance. The complete series can now be found in the following books. WITH THE BAD BOY SERIES #1 - Encounter #2 - Leaving #3 - Forever
Kimber has just graduated from high school. She's not really sure what she wants to do with her life, but the expectations aren't too high, since her family lives in a trailer park. Then Vinn, who has just gotten out of prison for grand auto theft, moves in. Everyone's gaga wondering who the new neighbor is because he bought an extra big trailer. (Why does his trailer cost $58,000 though??)
Honestly, most books don't have the main characters living in trailers, so this was an interesting choice. Made me wonder if the author grew up or lives in a trailer park. I knew someone actually living in a trailer park in Michigan.
Their chemistry and the whole will-they-won't they was hot. I was waiting for Kimber to get pregnant too because they never seemed to use condoms and she didn't mention she was on birth control.
I wasn't expecting the story to end in a cliffhanger and I hope I can get book 2 because apparently, this book isn't on sale anymore. (I got this as a freebie.)
Short read. Theres 4 parts and the first 2 are available on KU.
I do like Vinn more than Kimber. She doesn’t have much going on in her life. She graduated afew months ago but doesn’t have plans for further education nor does she have a job. I found that kind of unattractive, not sure why Vinn was wanting her soo bad. What does she do alll day other then obsesse over Vinn?
Kimber has recently graduated and although her plans for the future are uncertain the one thing she is certain about is that she wants a fresh start somewhere else. Vinn is her neighbor with a dark past and the one thing he does know is he doesn’t want the past to repeat itself.
They are both attracted to each other, but he knows that it is in both their interest to keep his distance, but things become complicated when something wrong feels so right. Their journey draws you in and leaves you wondering what the future holds for this couple.
This whole series is crazy and you need to know that going in. They're SUPPOSED to be outlandish, wild and fun. They hit all three marks. I read them as a serial and it drove me cuh-razy to wait for the next thing, so if you read them as books, count yourself lucky. Hot, filthy sex with a questionable partner in a trailer park. It's like I've been transported to my own past.
Encounter by Wanda Amard a five-star read you will definitely want to encounter on a dark night. This was a short read, but an amazing read, number two (Taken) and three (Wishes) in the With the Bad boy books can not come quick enough for me!! I’m frothing at the mouth in anticipation to find out what comes next!! Kimber Green was sweet and fun, you just know her, and bestie Rubi will get up to so much fun. But the main component that made the story just, so, so sublime was Vinn Thrower, what a man, he is someone I would love to give more than one chance. Where will the story take us? I am literally chomping at the bit for book two, it can’t come quickly enough.
This is Kimber and Vinn's story and it's a steamy one with lots of twists and turns. Well-written with strong, likable characters and a page-turning storyline. A short read with a lot of punch in a short space. They meet when he moves into her trailor park after being released from prison. He wants to turn his life around and stay on the straight and narrow. She's temptation with a big T. An engaging story that will grab your attention and keep it. I normally hate duets, trilogies, or cliff-hanger type books but I felt invested in the outcome from the very first page of this book. It was like these were real people and this situation could be real.
Great character development and plenty of twists and turns to be able to sink into the book.
Anxiously waiting for more of this series!

I loved Kimber and Vinn’s story! This book pulled me in from the first page and I couldn’t get enough. Finn has just been released from prison and Kimber has just graduated from high school. This story is sweet and has just the right amount of hot. A great read and one I definitely recommend.

This is the story of Kimber and Vinn. He's just gotten out of prison and wants to stay clean. When Kimber shows up just graduated from high school, she's looking for adventure. Can they make it work? I enjoyed this romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Every woman wants a bad boy to love her. They round each other’s edges until they have their circle of love. Sweet, but hot enough to keep you reading through the night.
3.5 Stars Encounter is book one in the ‘’with the bad boy’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an easy read. Encounter is the first book of Wanda Amard’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters a little likeable and the storyline easy to follow. Eighteen-year-old Kimber Green has lived in a trailer park all of her life. Having just graduated high school, she is unsure on what she wants to do with her life. When someone new moves onto the trailer park, she is intrigued. The person is even more intriguing to her because of the luxurious trailer they move into. Forced to deliver cookies to the new neighbour, she meets Vinn Thrower. Having just been realised from five years in prison, Vinn is determined to not cause trouble. He wants to stay on the straight and narrow. Meeting Kimber throws a spanner in the works. Kimber is determined to get with Vinn. I wasn’t either characters biggest fan but I liked Vinn a little more than Kimber. I thought Kimber was really immature at times. I liked Vinn and I understood his mixed feelings but I wanted him to make his damn mind up. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an ok read. Although I didn’t love this story, I am going to give book two a chance. I want to see if Vinn takes a chance.
Encounter is the first book in the "With the bad boy" series. It is a quick smutty read, that can be read in your lunch break. It is full of sexual tension, chemistry, and one hot as hell scene that will blow your mind.
Kimber is immature sure, but she is young so you can forgive her that, we were all young once and can relate to how she feels after her interactions with Vinn. Vinn is the bad boy, and one sexy bad boy at that, a bit of an idiot at times and you feel he is taking the right mick, but I could understand why he was a bit stand offish with her, but then you see the softer side to him too.
I liked getting to know these characters, and Rubi needs her own story, she is brilliant. I like that it is a fast paced, easy story to read and that it kept my attention throughout and left me eager to turn the pages, and that last scene....HOT!!!!!
The story ended with a cliffhanger, and boy what a cliffhanger it was.
Wanda Amard is a new author & this book is a great introduction. Vinn & Kimber start their story together in this book, "Encounter", the first in the series, "With the Bad Boy."
The book starts with Kimber getting ready for the local graduation party. A slight detour lands her meeting the new neighbor, Vinn. The chemistry is hot & strong between the two of them when they can't seem to stay away from each other at the party.
Luckily, no big cliff hanger. Nice calm ending with the second book in the series releasing not long after this one. (Thank you for not waiting a year.)
Encounter is book 1 in the With the Bad Boy serial and is the beginning of Kimber and Vinn's story. Vinn is a bad boy looking for a second chance to make a go of his life. There is insta-lust between Kimber and Vinn when they meet for the first time. Wanda Amard holds nothing back when writing the scene where Kimber and Vinn give in to their lust which leaves for great anticipation for Taken (Book 2).
I didn't realize for some reason this was a serial. I don't like serials at all. This first installment will be my last. I found the fmc to be a very young and immature 18. It was painful reading her part. He wasn't much better doing the whole "I want her so bad and she's too good for me so I must lead her on and treat her like crap" thing. I'm so over that! So, no I will not be reading more mini installments of what should be a fully fleshed out story.
This ended on something of a cliffhanger, and I see now that the book is no longer for sale, but that the sequels can be acquired. I can imagine others might appreciate this far more than I did. Although the main characters were not intrisically bad (despite the "bad boy" reference), I did not enjoy spending (reading) time with either of them or any of the others in the book. This may be a bit simplistic in terms of book critiquing, but I only have so much time to read in a day...

This was my first from this author. The story is divided in five parts, which was an interesting concept. I loved the first person point of view, which is always a deal breaker for me. Kimber and Vinn were great characters. Especially Vinn's conversations to his car were hilarious.

Trailer park; 18 year old virgin; 27 year old parolee. For once it's the 18 year old being bad and the guy trying to do the right thing - in an ass-hatish kind of way. It is just too predictable in other ways.
This book just wasn’t it for me. The choppiness of the novel and the fact that I just didn’t like either main character. The instalove that just made no sense. It didn’t at any time feel like these characters had any chemistry.
I love a good short story. This is definitely one. It had some steamy parts and still had some drama. Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author
