Lots of flagged sections in my copy! I loved Frank Rolfe's reflections on Sam Zell's axiom of risk vs. reward: "Never buy when there's low reward and high risk, and always buy when there's high reward and low risk." I enjoyed Brandon Turner's section on the specific letter that he and his wife Heather used to send to sellers in Grays Harbor.

Particular chapters of interest to me were from Jack Bosch (land flipping) and Felipe Mejia (rent by the room model).

I only had one issue with this book: it is dated. No I’m sure it isn’t that old, but the deals that were available 10+ years ago just aren’t now. So the numbers aren’t realistic with the current day in most places, but other than that it’s a great book. All of the stories really get you thinking of different ways of investing in real estate and Ken does a great job of analyzing deals as well. I would love an updated version of this with the current market in mind.

Hearing the different stories from each investor was informative. It helped me understand better that everyone has their own niche and the importance of feeding and growing that niche to become an expert.

There were several interesting strategies/concepts but that was it. Nothing special, just recycle of already known stories.
