Very short read, focuses really on two couples and their interactions and unsatisfying relationships.
Joshua is mad keen to make the draft team, and as a result doesn’t give his long time girlfriend Renee enough attention. He catches Renee having sex with his roommate and also best friend Aaron and is devastated. He then flirts with the bartender Gabrielle, who turns out to be the coach’s daughter. She is in a relationship with Mark which has gone stale (they don’t share the same interests), and she has been lusting after Joshua for some time.
This book was given as an ARC and this review is entirely voluntary.

A short and sweet prequel that sets the scene and the history really well for undoubtedly the main characters that we are going to get to know even more in Draft Day book 1 or Ballers & Curves.
Joshua is a talented baseball player hoping to be signed for a the Louisville Mammoths, Kentucky’s Major League team. Gabby is the coach’s daughter, engaged but not in a particularly happy relationship with Mark. Joshua was in a serious relationship until he walked in on his now ex-best friend Aaron, also a fellow baseball player, hot and heavy with his now ex-girlfriend. Roll on Book 1.....

Joshua’s dream of having a baseball career is just right around the corner of going professional. He has it all…training for the pro’s, playing league, about to propose to his girlfriend…then it starts to fall apart…he loses the girl and a best friend all in one go~ Now, he is eyeing the coach’s daughter…the coach’s daughter is engaged but all she can think about is Joshua…what will happen? This ends in a cliffhanger and you will have to get the book to read their story~
