Rate this book
Book One: Beauty and the Boss

I’m working for a man I can’t stand.
Actually, Luke Thorpe is more like a machine.
His irresistible body appears to be made of steel.
And he’s invincible.
Luke’s work ethic has made him a powerful billionaire.
But he’s also… uptight and mean.
Everyone I know is scared of him.
Everyone except for me.
I step back when I find myself falling for him.
After going through a terrible ordeal, he’s the last person I should be with.
I need stability… a commitment.
His eyes say that he wants me.
And I’m tempted to believe them.
Am I about to make the biggest mistake of my life?

Book Two: Lawyer and the Boss

I thought I’d left him behind in high school.
Aiden was always hard to resist.
Bad boy with a chiseled chest to die for.
Now, years later…
He’s a billionaire.
And he rescues me from a bunch of rowdy men at a bar.
That incident should’ve been the end of it.
But now here I am… falling for him again.
And accepting his job offer.
This is a disaster.
How am I supposed to resist his charm when he’s my boss?

Book Three: Nanny and the Boss

Nanny for a hot single dad billionaire!
How did that happen?
When I accidentally hooked up with Brent Irvine in his private pool house, I thought I’d never see him again.
That night felt like a dream… but it was over in an instant.
Fast forward a few months.
I meet him again, but this time he isn’t just a man I can drool over.
He’s my boss and I’m hired to care for his 6-year old son.
His mother hates me. He’s got a hot girlfriend.
And I know nothing about being a nanny.
It makes me crazy to think about him with someone else.
So, I have a choice to make.
I confess my feelings and risk losing my job.
Or… I watch him leave and let my heart shatter to pieces.

Book Four: Teacher and the Boss

I’m the brutal Mafia Boss that people fear.
But she’s the woman I can’t control.
Claire teaches my niece at school.
I was obsessed the second I laid my eyes on her.
I wanted my hands all over her soft curves.
When she refused to privately tutor my niece,
I was left with only one option.
Kidnap her and bring her to my lakeside mansion.
She stays until my niece passes her test.
Claire hates me, but I see the warmth in her eyes.
She wants me as much as I crave her.
But I’m a man of my word.
I’ll let her go once the job is done.
Unless she herself decides to stay…

Book Five: Innkeeper and the Boss

I have a rich spoiled brat for a boss… but not for long.
Meet Josh Sterling…. gorgeous, arrogant, rich as sin… heir to the Sterling Empire.
And now my new Boss.
He seemed sincere at first, so I let him have me.
Did you hear that?
I slept with him.
Big mistake.
And then I found out that he was playing me all along.
I’m not the one he wanted.
It was my family business he was after.
The Inn was supposed to be our family legacy.
Well, I’m going to get it all back.
The war is on.
I hate him with every fiber of my being.
So why do I still want his big arms around my waist?

Not the best read ...

Normally only try to leave positive reviews but felt I should comment ... lots of errors with the author remembering names and relationships. Had to refer back only to find out the author did in fact make a mistake. Lots of missing words to leave incomplete thoughts and sentences - a better proofreader is a must. All stories very cliche. Not sure why I read the whole thing. Cutesy stories, but the incorrect references and missing words killed this for me.

Average

I just need to say that for me this book was rather slow and unexciting. The characters were ok but it was like so many others . Predictable and been there ,done that. I really have a thing about endings and epilogue and this was abrupt and blah. Sorry

A good deal as a set but I definitely liked some books better than others.

1 - BEAUTY AND THE BOSS - 3 stars
Older man and young woman premise - Although the writing was good and story line held promise the disappointing thing for me is that there was no relationship development between Luke and Emily.  It seemed they were sexually drawn to each other and from then on had no control over themselves. I really wanted and needed more.

2 - LAWYER AND THE BOSS - 5 stars
Seven years ago Mia was accepted to Stanford causing the relationship with her high school boyfriend to fall apart. Now, she's back in New York, dropped her jerk of a boyfriend and barely getting by. Life threw her some curves she wasn't expecting, but the biggest one was having Aiden suddenly coming to her rescue.

Aiden wasn't blessed with the kinds of smarts Mia had so  letting her go to follow her dreams was a sacrifice he was willing to make for the girl he loved. Now, he's a CEO of his own company, having surrounded himself with the right people and working hard. But suddenly seeing Mia again has stirred up all those old feelings and he's determined to never let her walk away again.

This 2nd book in the set was excellent! With great characters, a relationship that was believable, and just the perfect mix of angst and drama.

3 - NANNY AND THE BOSS - 4 stars
This was a good book once you get past the silly beginning. Brent lost his wife to cancer three years ago leaving him to raise their young son. But keeping a nanny has been a challenge with his mother finding a reason to fire every single one of them.

Emma Connery graduated with an MBA but blew through her savings while trying to find a job.  After a crazy party her roommate drags her to finds her in a precarious situation Emma ends up back home living on her mom's couch. Desperate to get back on her feet she accepts a nanny job for the last person she expected to ever work for.

Falling in love with Brent's son Caleb is the easiest part of her new job. Falling in love with his father will be the hardest when the one person who should be rooting for his happiness will do everything to keep them apart.

4 - TEACHER AND THE BOSS - 3 stars
Nicholas Scalzi firmly believes hatred comes from fear and being feared is power. As a mafia boss he is feared by many and no one dares defy him, so when his teenage niece has trouble at school Nicholas simply demands that her teacher move into his house for the remainder of the school year to be her private tutor and governess. Yeah, that's destined to go well.

Claire Wright loves teaching and cares deeply for her students, so when Stasi Scalzi is once again in detention Claira insists her uncle come in for a conference. What happens next feels as if it is straight out of a mafia movie, or ugh, book.

When someone dares to challenge Nicholas he will face his biggest fear and do whatever it takes to save what is precious to him.

I'm not a fan of mafia books and this one rubbed me the wrong way for all the very reasons I don't like them - the blood thirst, revenge thirsty, controlling a*s mafia kingpins that are featured as the hero of the book just never settles well with me.

5 - INNKEEPER AND THE BOSS - 5 stars
The final book in this collection was a true gem.

After the death of her parents and grandmother Bella and her grandfather run The Hidden Glen Inn that has been in the family for generations. It is Bella's dream to some day take over for her aging grandfather but times are changing and business isn't as good as it used to be. Bella knows she needs to update things but finances are tight. When her grandfather makes a drastic decision without consulting Bella she is left devastated, and having to work with the last person on earth she expected.

Joshua Sterling is a workaholic like his demanding and controlling father. When his father requires Josh come with him to visit an Inn he's considering buying Josh is left baffled. It isn't the kind of property they typically invest in. Days later Josh is left stunned at his father's newest order. But Josh quickly realizes he is up for the challenge, and he's hoping a certain red headed beauty will be there by his side. Yet, Josh may be about to learn he shouldn't make assumptions for other people.

I really wish this book had been edited for typos better. It seemed the last 20% was only skimmed over and many things overlooked - like the horse named Bluebell referred to on the next page as Bluebonnet.

Okay. I liked the first story a lot. It had its issues granted but I really liked the first story. I’m not going to talk about that at all. Besides the author using the same name Luke as the MC of the first book and Luke was the brother of Alexis (all I will say about THAT Luke) The second story Mia was a total idiot. I mean I loved her and Aidens relationship, she was super smart and so loveable but she was a textbook battered woman.... but she wasn’t battered... just emotionally. Not saying that’s not just as bad. Hell no, no way am I condoning that evil, vile behaviour. But being that I’ve worked EMS for so long it just wounds my heart to see women, children and yes even some men that are in these abusive relationships that won’t stand up and do right by themselves. It’s so frustrating and it sucks because these people see it for themselves but they make excuses and play it off then they end up hurt or worse. ☠️ What really made me upset was book #3 Brent and Emma’s story. Brent is such a B with a giant B. Elenor just walks all over him. Walked all over his dead wife, continues to walk all over the memory of his dead wife, insults his dead wife in front of his son which is the boys mom and he does nothing, she constantly sticks her nose into his business, embarrasses him, pimps him out and she is a disgusting human being. She looks down her nose at people and she sees staff as beneath her. She doesn’t care about anyone or their families, only herself and her image. This is supposed to be a grown man who is supposed to be raising a boy to be a man, how can you lead by example and you can’t even have a backbone and stand up to your mother? You have to ignore your own heart? I’m sorry, I’m dropping some spoilers here, Emma should have just opened the flood gates and exposed that old lady about the money instead she jet sets across the country then when the boy gets hurt and admits her gets hurt by his own will and by his own hand she is blamed for it, no one defends her and she even takes the blame! Then she turns around and does the woman a favor and allows greed to rule her and Bargain for more money? So Brent and Caleb mean nothing? Just that last 10k? Truly disgusting and disappointing. I admit I was skimming ahead because I was just like okay I just need to finish this but once I read that it was the straw that broke the camels back. It’s not often a book makes me sneer. This is one of the times! 🤬😒 I give this book absolutely 1 ⭐️ Star DNF

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.

The Billionaire's Obsession books are a set of five books, each of which has a very different plot at the heart of the story.

The first book is Beauty and the Boss. Luke is a self made billionaire CEO and Emily is a college student looking for an internship. Although they are an unlikely pair, they work as a couple. The story is full of push and pull as the couple struggles to maintain their distance from each other.

It is heartwarming to see how Emily is there when Luke needs her. She is the strong one who takes the initiative to give Luke the love he needs to get through family problems.

Book two is Lawyer and the Boss.
Aiden is a Billionaire CEO and Mia was his high school sweetheart. They were pulled apart as most young love is when Mia goes to college across the country.

While Aiden's life is going well, (except he is a workaholic who never allows himself down time), Mia's life has been a struggle. Her poor self esteem is due to an abusive ex boyfriend and inability to find a well paying job.

The story gets the sweethearts back together through a twist of fate. Aiden's passion and protectiveness is exactly what is needed in Mia's life. As a reader, I wanted Mia to get away from her ex, who stalks, threatens and assaults her and Aiden is the perfect answer.

Book three is Nanny and the Boss. This story had me laughing at Emma. Her introduction to Brent was truly funny. She comes across as a girl who would be your buddy. She is the klutzy, "meatball" girl.

Brent is immediately drawn to Emma. Growing up extremely wealthy, Brent found Emma refreshing and honest. A fire is lit on this first day of meeting each other.

Emma's ability to connect to Caleb, Brent's 6 year old son, is so heartwarming. Having lost a parent herself she is able to relate to Caleb in a way others haven't. When she is brought into the house as a live in nanny, the atmosphere (except around Brent's mother) is bright and loving.

Of course Brent's mother is wicked and crotchety. She is someone you want to go away. She has led a privileged life and thinks everyone is beneath her, especially Emma.

Book 4 is Teacher and the Boss. I loved the relationship between Claire and Nicholas. It is a slow burning relationship starting with ire and fright but became an inferno of passion.

Claire is a teacher at a private school. She is idealistic getting involved in the life of her students. Stasi is her student who is struggling with her schoolwork and life. Her uncle, Nicholas is the Boss of a mafia family in Chicago. The way he shows his love is by keeping his illegal and legal business profitable and by protecting his family.

Initially I didn't think I would like a mafia romance story. Nicholas is gruff and very arrogant. However as the story progresses you see a man trying to make a life for his family the only way he was taught.

Claire is able to stand up to Nicholas, give him a new way of looking at things, especially in dealing with his teenage niece, Stasi. She also allows him to have a way of forgetting his troubles.

This book has kidnapping, betrayal, gun fight, assassination attempt and death. It really is a twisting ride that you won't want to get off of.

Book 5 is Innkeeper and the Boss. Bella and her extended family seemed like people you want to grow up with. Her life has had tragedies but is full of love.

Josh has grown up with a workaholic father who is always pushing his son. Josh is transformed when he is forced to spend time at the Inn his father bought. Hating every minute initially, he comes to see the beauty of his surroundings and especially Bella. It is a stark contrast to his life in Manhattan.

This story tugs at your heart. With a main character having an illness, I found myself tearing up along with the characters in the book. However there is definitely levity in the story. There is a goat that will make you smile.

Although this is a series, each book is a standalone. Each also has a happily ever after. The main couples strive to be true to himself or herself. In doing that, they find the love that they needed, whether they knew they needed it or not.

Great series of enemies to lovers, poor to rich not only in life but most of all love.

R.S. Elliott is masterful in putting together a series of struggling, lonely people to finding love and acceptance.

You’ll fall in love with Luke and Emily in “Beauty and The BOSS”. But you will definitely want to read the prequel first.
“In Lawyer and The BOSS” you will meet separated high school sweethearts Mia and Aiden.
“Nanny and The BOSS” shows that Brent is trying to handle life with his 6yo son and failing miserably. His mother is not helping with firing help that doesn’t hold up to her standards but then Brent meets Emily and she breathes life back into the lives of both him and his son.
“Teacher and The BOSS” you meet mob boss Nicholas and newly employed tutor/governess Claire. Claire is really fearful of the life she’s been introduced to but her heart?
“Innkeeper and The BOSS” tells the story of Bella and how she’s trying to keep her Papa from selling her family legacy the Hidden Glen Inn. But then he sells it to Cross Holdings and meets Josh.

The books in this book set are unrelated to each other and can be read separately. I have to admit that I had never read anything by R. S. Elliot until I ran across a review that made me so angry I saw smoke. Why? Because the person trashed one of these books and the author without getting reading past page 3. Why would you do this without even reading a book. Anyway, I bought these books and I have to thank the a$$hole because not only were these books amazing I now have another author to add to my MUST HAVE when new books are released! Highly recommend each of these books and R. S. Elliot is amazing!

Good Boxset

There are a few different stories in this boxset and overall they were good. I have to say some of the male characters at first came across as not very nice to the world around them but I suppose that’s what the author was going for so the women who came in to their lives changed them for the better.

5 books in 1

This was separate 5 books in 1, some of the stories were better than others but I still really enjoyed reading them and gave 3 or 4 stars for each of them. The nanny and the boss stood out the most and had some really funny moments, I think this was my favourite out of them all.

Great stories...except for stories #2...easily a five star rating except for that one story

This should have been a star rating. All were great except for the second which should have just been left out completely. I laughed and cried at the others and strongly recommend the series. Just skip the second story.

Enjoyed the ride

I enjoyed this collection of stories, particularly the first and the last one. There is plenty of heat, but also a genuine, underlying sweetness to the romances. The mafia story was my least favorite, but only because it didn't quite fit in with the series.

Great set

It was a very entertaining read. Usually after three books from the same set I start to get bored. But each book was different from the last enough to keep me interested. I enjoyed the way the characters start doubting and then their opinion changes.

An Outstanding Series!

All of the books are good reads and have HEA’s. The best part is that they are all about different people, none are related, so each one is a new book. I, for one, liked that.

This boxset of stories were filled with your cliched billionaire falls for average girl trope. And I will say I'm a sucker for these stories.
But the execution, the countless mistakes and the unrealistic aspects of some situations made it hard for me to like any of these stories.

This is an amazing box set which consists of the following novels: -
#1 Beauty & the Boss
4 Stars
Luke is a complicated workaholic, and when Emily is a new intern at his company. The chemistry between them is intense, but will they be able to deny their attraction and have a forbidden office romance? This is a good short story, but I felt it could have been longer as I struggled to engage with the characters.
#2 Lawyer & the Boss
5 Stars
This is the 2nd book in this intriguing series. Aiden and Mia were high school sweethearts, until they went their separate ways. Now Aiden is a billionaire playboy, and Mia’s boss. This is a well written emotional roller coaster journey, which is heart-breaking, emotional, and humorous, as well as being filled with drama, angst, suspense, and surprises.
#3 Nanny & and Boss
5 Stars
This is the 3rd book in this addictive series. This is a well written flawless story which had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more in this series, and highly recommend for all.
#4 Teacher & the Boss
5 Stars
This is the 4th book in this series and is Claire and Nicholas’ story. From the moment Nicholas sets his eyes on Claire who is his niece’s teacher, he is obsessed, and he ends up kidnapping her to tutor for a few months at his home. This is a beautifully written story which is a thrilling, sweet and steamy read.
#5 Innkeeper & the Boss
5 Stars
This is the 5th book in this amazing series and is Josh and Bella’s story. There is an undeniable chemistry between these two and I loved the witty banter. This is a well written story which is heartfelt, fun, entertaining, and a poignant love story. I was intrigued throughout, and I highly recommend for all readers.

I love boxsets because it really gives me a chance to get a good feel for the author; especially if the author is new or fairly new to me, such as it was in this case. I enjoyed the Billionaire's Obsession books themselves but I enjoyed this boxset specifically because I was able to get a little bit of everything in one place. The books are well written and while they are well known and loves tropes already (Nanny, teacher, mafia, etc), it was still something new and not the "same old storylines". The characters were likable and easy to fall for and the stories were creative and intriguing. R.S. Elliot was a new to me author when I started but now I have another to add to my list of must reads. :)

Beauty and the Boss - LA compelling, passionate, steamy read! The storyline is fast pace, well though-out, funny, witty, and emotionally deep. The characters are amazing; their chemistry is potent and off the charts. This book will captivate you from page one and hold your interest until the very end. Definitely recommended!

Lawyer and the Boss - Mia and Aiden - This second chance romance is definitely worth the read. The writing is fluid and the ideas are well-developed and consistent. The fantastic storyline is emotionally deep and will pull on your heart’s strings. The characters are sweet and broken; the intimacy between Mia and Aiden is smoking hot and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Nanny and the Boss - A captivating read that is well written, well developed, consistent, funny, and moves at a brisk pace with enough drama to keep me interested until the end. The characters are likeable and sweet but I would have preferred more interaction between the main characters. I did not really feel the romantic attraction bursting from the pages; however, it is an engaging and relatable read that kept me invested until the end. Definitely recommended.

Teacher and the Boss - Superbly written! Immediately this book will draw you in and immerse you into a world of excitement, action, drama, ups and downs, betrayal, danger, and intrigue. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with excitement and a mix of emotions on every page. The storyline is very interesting and well developed. The characters are strong and likeable; the chemistry between them is hot and undeniable. Recommended!

Innkeeper and the Boss - An amazing book five in the Billionaire Obsession series! It is beautifully written, unique, entertaining, engaging, emotionally deep, funny, and interesting with characters that are well developed, strong, and likeable. Definitely recommended!
