Hope Landing #2

Long-buried secrets lead to murderous resentments.
When a sniper’s bullet narrowly misses cafe owner Lauren Lowe in her own driveway, her life spins out of control. Who’d hire a professional assassin to eliminate a church-going restaurant owner?
Forced to take Lauren on the run, former SEAL and current Knight Tactical Operative Austin Daggett plans to keep her safe…and away from his own, grieving heart. Risk-taker Lauren is brave and sassy and way too adventurous for a man who already lost one woman to a senseless death.
Not that Lauren’s looking. There’s a lot to like about the poised, confident Austin, but he’s plain about his disdain for her wild adventuring. They’d go together about as well as tuna and chocolate.
While she and Austin comb through the mysteries of her past, a clever killer follows their every move. To survive, they’ll need all the help Austin’s team at Knight Tactical can provide…and the assistance of someone Lauren never wanted to involve, and can’t bring herself to forgive.
As danger inches closer, their mutual attraction grows, but it’s not easy for a woman with a broken past to trust a man with a shattered heart. Both are shocked to realize that they might just hold the keys to healing each other’s hearts…if the murderer doesn’t find them first.
Welcome to Hope Landing, a small town full of big secrets…and deadly lies. Join the action as the former SEALs of Knight Tactical Protection battle danger and tests of faith on the road to lasting love. A series of clean, inspirational action adventure romances, each guaranteed to lift your heart.

The second installment of Edie James' Hope Landing series is a keeper. An enjoyable follow-up to the first book. Austin and Lauren's story was a delight to read--plenty of pulsating action, tension and conflict. And the characters have well-developed arcs and are fun to know. Looking forward to Book Three with Ethan, the computer geek and Star.

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Fast Landing. This is book two in the series Hope Landing Suspense. Edie is quickly becoming one of my favorites, unfortunately I'm not able to buy books that often as I do so many ARC books to review. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love this one.

Lauren Lowe turns thirty-five. It's not too old right? Her secret crush offers himself as a birthday gift to her when one of her catering crew can't come. After the day has come to an end they pull up to her apartment only to be shot at by a sniper. Austin flees the scene taking her to their safe house. She is sure he is the target, he's sure she is the target. Can they find out what is going on and keep each other safe? Could this have anything to do with her secret past?

Ex-Navy SEAL Austin Daggett works for Knight Tactical. They have recently moved headquarters to Hope Landing. Austin is a widower and although he is attracted to Lauren he has no intention of acting on that attraction. He couldn't lose another woman in his life. It would destroy him. He will keep Lauren safe or die trying.

A journey to find who is trying to kill them and why. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

I loved the first book in this series Hard landing and when given the opportunity to read this addition to the series I didn't hesitate and I wasn't disappointed at all. Another fast paced read that had enough suspense and dram to keep me engaged until I turned the last page and the guys from Knights Tactical where just as brilliant in this book

Some one wants Lauren Lowe eliminated though she has no idea why That is when ex SEAL and Knights Tactical operative Austin Daggett is brought in. There is only one thing wrong Austin is determined he will never love again and he definitely won't fall for a woman who takes risks with her dangerous hobbies not after having his heart ripped out when he lost his wife But life is strange like that what you plan isn't always what you get and soon he can't walk away as she holds his heart. Will they both survive and why is someone trying to eliminate her You will have to read to see

Fast paced action full of intrigue and suspense:
This was an enjoyable opposites attract, romantic suspense book. I hadn't read the first book in the series and whilst I found I missed out on some of the backstory, I was nevertheless able to follow along just fine.
Lauren uses thrilling adventures to hide a lonely and shattered heart. Meanwhile Austin is a reserved, cautious and a protective ex-Seal whose afraid of loving again. I enjoyed seeing them find love and healing together in this sweet, gentle romance.
I also appreciated that the characters relied on the Lord but also wrestled with faith issues. One thing I didn't like however was how Austin, who was supposedly a Christian, referred to God as the "man upstairs".

I purchased a copy of the Christian Romantic Suspense Fast Landing by Edie James, and this review was given freely.
When caterer and restaurateur Lauren Lowe becomes the target of an assassin, the reserved culinary-loving widowed SEAL, Austin Daggett finds himself in the right spot at the right time to repeatedly save the outgoing woman who is sneaking past all his defenses.
This is a complex story where “good” people do “bad” or questionable things such as stealing cars is blended with Lauren’s struggle between a sudden attraction to the quiet and grieving Austin, an unexpected inheritance, and her adoptive father’s often untrustworthy ways.
It had a slow beginning but I enjoyed the middle and end.

I enjoyed reading the second book in the series, Hope Landing, Fast Landing. Nothing like a surprise of becoming an owner of a gigantic company to turn your world upside down. I like all of the men of knight Tactical. They make a good group. Looking forward to see all of their stories. I think the main part of the story is forgiveness works both ways. Both people have to forgive in order for complete forgiveness. I will recommend this book to all of the romantic suspense readers that come into our church library.

Lauren is trying to live a quiet life. Her past was not pleasant. And she feels like she has a good chance for a second start. Until suddenly secrets emerge and she discovers there is more to her story. Can Austin and Knight security keep her safe while she tries to solve the mysteries of her past?
This book is a part of Hope Landing series. While it could be understood as a stand alone, I think it is more enjoyable if all books are read in order. The book is clean suspense with faith elements and a bit of romance.

Fast Landing

Great series. This book is full of action, adventure, suspense, and romance. Austin decides to help Lauren with her catering job on her birthday when her employee calls in sick. When they return from the job, they are attacked. This begins their flight to safety. They need to determine which one is the target and why. Will Austin be able to keep Lauren safe as they seek the answers?

The plot is decent, interesting, but the number of typos and grammatical errors throughout the book pulled me out of the story. Even worse, there are continuity errors and one point of disbelief. I'm debating whether to read the next book in the series or not. I will give it a try since I have enjoyed the stories, but if it the editing doesn’t improve, I will discontinue reading this series. A clean and intriguing story despite the errors.

A great read with action, romance, and suspense. Austin is afraid to fall in love after his wife passed a few years ago, and Lauren has a dysfunctional family. Austin and Lauren are on the run to escape a shooter who shot at them after they returned from a catering event.Which one of them is being targeted and why?
Fast Landing is an action-packed read with secrets, shocking twists and turns, danger, and intrigue. I enjoyed the chemistry between Austin and Lauren.

Altho I am giving this a 4 because it is gripping and innovative, both in this book and book #1 of this series there are editing errors and situations/decisions that are seriously questionable if Knight Security is a top-notch protection agency.

This is the story of an assassin hired to kill Lauren, owner of a cafe in Hope Landing, Austin, a Knight operative and her key protector, the rest of the Knight team, and Lauren’s estranged father are also key characters.

Entertaining, clean romantic suspense

This is Austin and Lauren's story. It has entertaining action, suspense, and a developing romance. There are twists and turns to the story. Parts of this are not very realistic, but I read for escape anyway. I love the Knight's Tactical Team.

Lessons to Learn

A broken heart made Austin cautious. The need to “feel” alive and experience excitement in living made Lauren take chances. Opposites for sure but definitely attracted to each other. What will it take to bring them to meet in the middle? Will they and those around accept and give forgiveness as the Lord reveals it to them?

Falling in love on the run

I really like this couple. His wife died and he is afraid to love again. She is in danger but doesn’t know why. As they put the pieces together danger follows them. And the whole team is put at risk. I love their biblical references and how they fit into everyday life. Great ending!

Very Good

Suspense and mystery is one of my favorite genres. Loved Lauren and Austin's story. Action from start to finish. If you love Christian based stories this series is for you. Nice to catch up with Kelli and Jack from the first book.

The storyline is fine, but the ebook version is riddled with typos and grammatical/punctuation errors. I'm hoping the next book in the series has better editing, or I will have to pass on reading more from Edie James.

Very good book. I liked their relationship and how it evolved without either of them meaning to. Austin was so sweet but stubborn, and Lauren was brave for what she went through and her situation with Austin

Good read

I like that the stories in this series are not cookie cutter style. The characters are unique in each story and so is the plot. I also like that the old characters reappear and their story also continues in each book.

Another fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat sort of story. This one features a will, an heiress, a widower, and someone desperate enough to interrupt the will. I enjoyed both Austin and Lauren equally and enjoyed the glimpses back to the other couple from book one also
