He’s a relentless tease, and I’m an easy target.

I hate the way he zeroes in on me whenever we’re together.
He’s a bad boy with clear opinions about goody-two-shoes girls like me.
But no matter how much I try to avoid him, I can never for long.
Because he’s my brother’s best friend and always knows how to find me.

Things take a turn for the worst when I’m forced to work with him.
This situation has “epic nightmare” written all over it.
The worst part? I’ve been madly in love with him for as long as I can remember.
I can’t stop staring at his utter perfection, and the questions are coming unbidden.

What would it feel like to run my fingers through his hair?
Would his rakishly trimmed beard prickle against my palm if I cupped his cheek?
What would his lips feel like if he stopped teasing me and kissed me instead?
And most importantly:

Will I ever find out?

Werebear Creek is full of more than just water to satisfy your appetite. It’s chockful of bad, possessive Bear Shifters who would love to just sink their teeth into you and make you theirs, completely and fully. Because once their mate comes along, nothing will stop them from claiming what’s theirs.

Hi there! I’m Layla Silver, and I’m so happy to see you here :) I’m a mom of three adorable kids and after all these years, still wildly in love with my awesome and hard-working husband. I LOVE to write about hot shifters, whether Wolves, Bears, or Dragons, who are looking for their mates and will do anything to protect them no matter what comes their way. When I’m not writing or spending time with my family (which is pretty rare, but I’m not complaining!), I like to be in the mountains chasing paranormal dreams.

Starting where we left off in Boss Bear, with Sawyer Donovan as the new elected Alpha, he asks Wren to plan an event that will solidify the clan together. And Cooper, the last Donovan brother, will be helping along.

What I liked about this one, was the introduction of a female bear shifter as a main character. It was interesting to learn a bit about werebear traditions. At 20 years old, male bears are expected to build their home. A female bear remains at her parents house until she finds a mate. They are expected to be good while male bears have some more liberties. It's a bit archaic but I liked how different this plot was from the first two books.

“She was the quintessential good girl, and girls like her didn’t fall for bad-boy fuck-ups like me.”-Cooper

As a female shifter, Wren does everything she is expected to do, so much so that she kind of lost herself while growing up. She is a goody-twoshoes but also feels like she is a failure to her family. She is oppressed by traditions, and also protected but controlled by her bestfriend Sam . Wren lacks confidence and is an easy target for Cooper's teasing. She has known him since they were children, as he is her brother's bestfriend. She is convinced that this womanizer doesn't want her, and to her dismay, she knows that he is her mate. What I liked about her was her growth as a character, when she finally put her foot down and started listening to what she wanted, I was super happy for her.

“He was a bad boy with clear opinions about goody-two-shoes girls like me that he’d never hesitated to make known.”-Wren

Cooper is the rebellious middle child and knew since he was eight years old that Wren was his mate. He was convinced that she didn't know they were meant to be together and he didn't know how to deal with it. Making mistakes, he believed that she didn't like him and that the best way to get her attention was to tease her whenever he could. Growing up with that sort of behaviour, it stuck around. The thing that I didn't like about him was him being a womanizer. In this book, he is never intimate with OW but he does let them cling to him, which kind of reinforced Wren's self-doubts, and made her constantly compare herself. I sort of liked Cooper when he finally decided to pursue Wren but I'm still a little bit on the fence with him. I wish he had grovelled his way back into her good graces but he was alright in the end.

“I was decidedly the family fuck-up. All of which meant that there’d never been even a shred of hope for me when, as a rebellious little boy with no guidance, I lost my heart to the perfection that was Wren Ashdown.”-Cooper

“Craving her attention however I could get it, I kept doing what worked—teasing and making a spectacle of myself.”-Cooper

Overall, I think they were a good couple. The fact that they knew each other since they were kids really added to their chemistry, and it was kinda cute. It was a nice change of dynamic that both of them were shifters. It had what the other two first books were lacking: the werebear aspects and traditions. But again, the ending was rushed and not super romantic. I wish the author spent more time developping the relationships at the end, like a few more chapters to conclude beautifully.

Next book is about Wren's brother, Jericho. He was not portrayed as a womanizer like the Donovan brothers, so I'm hoping he won't be. Looking forward to it!

Sweet with heat!

What I really enjoyed about Bully Bear is that it is truly a romance. Cooper, the "black sheep" of his bear shifter family and clan has been crazy about Wren forever and wants her for his mate. But nothing he does can get her to give him the time of day.

Wren is a goody-two-shoes who has been secretly in love with her brother's friend Cooper, but knows this "bad boy" who can have any girl he chooses would never be interested in someone like her.

Bully Bear isn't a "sweet romance" because there are several hot, erotic scenes, but the story was sweet. It was so nice to read a romance about characters who cared about each other, and it was charming to see how Cooper changed his ways for Wren.

The interesting thing about this book is that none of the bear shifters ever shifted! The reader never sees them in bear form. Other than referring to themselves as bears and their spouses as mates, Bully Bear read like a contemporary romance.

💢Really cute little story.. Definitely a Must Read!!
🔹️Cooper is a BearShifter and a bully or is he? He has known who his mate is at an early age. Wren Ashdown is BearShifter but she never realized the potential she really had. She was really good at the family business but she did get a chance to show her family, she never stood up for herself. The BearMan she has wanted since forever is a womanizer, pig who constantly rubs her the wrong way. Thank god her friend helped shield her from him!
☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.

🐻🐻ONE HEART SOARING TREAT🐻🐻
Bearly tolerable! Layla dishes out every hurtful misunderstanding, vexing encounter and deep seated heartache, searching for acceptance and peace, finding sanctuary and a heart souring soulmate, fusing this gem together seamlessly. Restrictions are heightened and enforced, baring all the hard facts, deals and debacles, igniting a fierce determination with such intensity and vigor, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. A roaring tempest of tangled exigency and bizarre events, noting the grueling trials and arduous tribulations, stumbling through the uncanny twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never envisioned. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add diversity and depth, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and vivid descriptions creating an elaborate backdrop that makes the storyline explode. Fantastic job Layla, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Loved loved loved it

Wow loved this. Wren has tried for years to keep away from Cooper but he is her brothers best friend. Wren knows Cooper is her mate but he is always teasing her and that was pushing him away.
Cooper knows Wren is his mate but he struggles to talk her he ends up teasing her but all of a sudden he knows he has to get his life on track paint and clean up his mum and dads house that he inherited and time to make Wren his.
Wren couldn’t believe Cooper was being nice but Wren’s best friend Samantha was always telling her bad things she had ordered them out of her workplace. Wren took control of her life she wanted Cooper, the family business would be handed down to earth but time to redecorate was now and give herself a new office and furniture give her back a rest.
Wren goes to Cooper’s to talk about the event and Cooper brought up about them they needed to talk he explained why he used to tease her. Wren forgives Cooper this time they both knew who they wanted now tine to be together.

I love this series and this latest addition is the best so far I just loved how Wren and Cooper knew what they wanted but weren't sure how to get it and had somehow managed to lock them selves in to a juvenile habit

Wren knew that her brother was the golden child and that she would never measure up no matter how hard she tried She continually bent over backward for her family but the one she really wanted to impress was Copper her brothers best friend. She has a friend who continually reinforces that she isn't good enough and Cooper hates her for it. Cooper has known since he was young that Wren is actually his mate but at such a young age he didn't know how to handle it so he continually tormented her but now he wants to step up and claim her To do that he will have to find his place in the clan and become the bear shifter that is good enough for her. Will Wren fight for what she wants and will Cooper step up You need to read to see

This book is absolutely fantastic! It’s Connor’s turn to find his mate and she’s another member of the clan. He has known Wren is his mate for years but doesn’t seem to know how to talk to her. Years of teasing have left her weary of him. When she is asked to coordinate a clan event, she is assured she won’t have to work with Connor. He has other plans though. He puts himself in the position to help Wren with the event. During that time, he does everything he can to prove to her that he has changed and that he can be the mate she needs. His struggles as her best friend Sam continues to whisper negative things about him in Wren’s ears. It all comes to a head the day after Connor finally gets Wren in his arms. It is then that Wren decides she’s going to put her foot down and live her life her way and that includes Connor. In the end, the event is a success and Wren and Connor get their happily ever after.

I am volunteering my honest review for an ARC copy of this book.

perfect mate

Bully Bear is book three in the series Werebear Creek by author Layla Silver. Entertaining, intense and wholly wonderful. This one of my absolute favs- you have this arrogant alpha male that just can’t seem to get things straight. Then you have this wholesome, sweetly innocent female that runs him completely crazy. It’s absolutely beautiful how these two characters act with each other. Oh there are some moments that well things just don’t - let’s say go so well - friends and family don’t always know what’s good for you. Maybe these two will get through the heaps of obstacles before them.
Enjoy!!

As expected in my opinion of course better than the second book, we have the story of the middle child Cooper that in the eyes of others is some kind of the rebel one, however is the opposite. I've come to realize how every h in every book brings the best version of each of our H, Wren was pretty relatable and I could understand her insecurities and so glad she was able to thrive and become the person she yearned for so long.

Changing patterns

Carrying inhibiting habits formed in childhood into adulthood can not result in establishing a healthy relationship with your mate. Story of two who have to make those decisions.

Stubborn Bear

Wren and Cooper are at the very least an awesome match. He is so outgoing and she is so quiet and shy, introverted. Finally she realizes she has a voice and she starts using it. Yeah, Wren. Good story!
