She can’t forgive the humiliation he’s completely forgotten! Alexis does her brother a favor by letting his friend stay at her B&B, but she would have said no if she’d known it was Jace Wilson. He’s as handsome as ever, and he still makes her heart race, but she can’t help recalling the betrayal every time she looks at him. He is confused by her lack of welcome, making her suspect he doesn’t even remember why she’s so angry with him. How dare he forget…and why is she still so upset all these years later?
This is the second book in the Sage Valley series. This is Alexis and Jace's story. Jace witnessed his parent's marriage fall apart and his version of love and marriage is tainted by that experience. Jace is on leave and comes to town and ends up staying at Alexis's B&B. He can't understand why she is being so distant with him. Alexis has always had feelings for him, but is still angry with the humiliation he cost her years ago. And to add insult to injury, it appears he doesn't even remember. Jace is a playboy and not one to settle down. But after spending time with Alexis, he realizes he has real feelings for her. But can Alexis leave the past in the past and forgive him? This was a really delightful and well-written story and I enjoyed seeing it all come together in the end. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Alexis owns a B&B that her aunt left her but things are tough at the moment and she needs to stay afloat so she doesn't loose everything. Jace is on leave and staying at Alexis's B&B but he can't understand why she is so angry with him but hopes to find out. Alexis has always had feelings for Jace but to him she has always been his best friends sister. Jace is a play boy and doesn't do commitment but after spending time with Alexis again he realises that he has feelings for her. Will it all work out or are they both settings themselves up for heartbreak. Omg this was a great book and so well written and I definitely recommend you read it as it is a real page turner. The second book in the Sage Valley series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Jace and Alexis' story of a man who watched his parent's marriage fall apart, so he does not believe in love, marriage, or Christmas. He comes back to Sage Valley for a ten year reunion with his friends, and can not figure out why Alexis snubs him when he goes to stay at her B&B. I enjoyed seeing their story come together.
