The most dangerous prey… When the most accomplished assassin on Earth meets his end just before retirement, he finds himself standing before a goddess. Her world is headed for disaster, and she has need of his particular set of skills. Armed with powerful new abilities and decades of deadly knowledge, he begins his second life as Lugh, young scion of the Tuatha Dé clan of assassins. His mission: to find and eliminate the strongest individual in this world—the hero!
Honestly, in the middle I was pretty sure that I'd drop this series after the first volume. It felt a little too... cliche, too standard. It developed though and is moving ahead at a quick, but reasonable pace. Some other positives: It's the first isekai for me that has this anti-hero concept. The fan service is there, but it's less than expected. It is surprisingly wholesome for a story about an assessin, though our MC is very calculated and manipulative. I'll add the second volume to my wishlist. There are better first volumes of isekai out there, but also worse.
This could have been a good read but I couldn't keep reading it because they sexualized children. When they first introduce his teacher, a 10 year old girl, named Dia, they show her private area under her skirt several times then she crawls up on his lap (he's 7), seductively for his first time (feeling magic). I have a 10 year old girl. If anyone drew her like Dia was drawn... let's just say there'd be hell to pay.
An Intresting concept, im going to hold my whole judgment after one or two more volumes as the majority of this one was just world setting and slow Introduction of the characters (who seem rather cool!)
I truly enjoyed reading this book with the start of the new anime series! I plan to start reading the light novels to fall into this world of assassins and magic!
[2.5] This series had potential but I hate the main character so much. I wish they aged him and the other characters up more because you really remember he's a grown adult reincarnated into a child in parts of the story.
I watched the anime first, which was best. This manga is WAY better than the anime and I totally recommend it. The manga is much more fluid, active, and interesting. If you didn't like the anime, but like these kinds, please give the manga a try instead. You will love it.
