The Tickle Beast

Don was an awesome hero. Adele had come to the gambling hall to offer herself for the forgiving of her brothers debts. He was immediately smitten! I loved all of it. He chased her down and forced her to marry him but she already wanted him plus she had a secret. The epilogue was absolutely wonderful and that is where you'll meet the tickle beast. Awesome ending. Safe and very hot love scenes.

I love the dedication =)
Daring, emotional, sexy, romantic, page turner, action packed!! This is the 8th book in the Wicked Winters series. Such an addictive series!
Lady Adele is the daughter of a Duke, she has a brother indebted to the owner of London's notorious gaming hell.
What I loved about Adele, she loves deeply and she is a strong lady and dared to go to Mr. Dominic Winter, a gorgeous ruthless man. In the 1800's a dukes daughter getting caught would have ruined her. She is brave, until she meets Dom, and oh is he sexy and dominant. He refuses her deal, but her insistence pays off.
Dominic Winter comes from a large family of half siblings. These Winter's are tough and no nonsense. I felt bad for Dominic because of his character's insecurities, but he does an excellent job covering it up. Adele and Dom are perfect for each other, I fell in love with them, like I always fall in love with Scarlett Scott's books! The epilogue is priceless =) And the sneak preview for Book 9 is sooo good, I can't wait for Lady Evie and Devil Winter =)

I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.

3.75 the book was pretty good I am just not overly fond of short stories, it just feels as if everything happens instantly and relationships do not have an adequate amount of time to develop. It was a decent enough read. Plot 4(1-10) steaminess 7.5(1-10)

Don & Adele

This novella was racy from the beginning. The h Adele (Beauty) was bold and fearless standing up to the H Dom (Beast) head of a Gaming Hell. She wanted to protect her brother from further harm and would do anything to protect him. They make love and there is instant attraction and lots of chemistry. The rest of story is Don’s pursuit of her for business reasons but she is having an effect on his hardened heart. Is there such a thing called love ? A great quick read. I give it 3.5 stars.

Yowza! Just when you think the Winter's cannot get anymore amazing, we visit the more dangerous side. The not so legitimate side, and first up is the eldest, Dominic Winter...

Lady Adele, daughter of a duke, was at the gaming hell, The Devil's Spawn, and she was waiting to see the most dangerous man in London. She had to make him stop from beating her brother to death over the debt he owed the gaming hell. But what surprised her the most... "He was cruelly beautiful."

She would give herself to him, in order to keep her brother safe. That was the deal, but it ended up being so much more....

Yes, yowza it is and do not miss this glimpse into the underworld with the "other" half of the Winters...

Loved Dom and Adele's story of love, adversity and the fight to be seen.

Adele is the quiet, unassuming and vastly overlooked twin sister of Evie who is vivacious, outgoing and a diamond of the first water. Adele knows she is a wallflower and quietly accepts her fate of wallflower and would be spinster. All this changes when she finds her brother hiding in his bachelor apartments bruised and beaten half to death by the Winters or so she believes. Adele loves her brother and will do anything to get the beatings to stop and to this end she decides to visit the Devil's Spawn the infamous gaming hell owned by Dominic Winter. She will do or pay whatever price it takes to make his debts go away even if that price is her virtue.

Dominic is intrigued by the audacity of this Lord's mistress who seeks to pay off her protectors debts with her body. Dominic Winter is the illegitimate son of a wealthy trader who has grown up to be a ruthless, hardened man born and brought up in the Rockeries where he has banded together to unite with his half siblings to give them a home, a livelihood and a sense of belonging due to their shared father. Dominic runs the East End with an iron fist and will show no weakness. He demands all debts be paid in coin and will accept no other form of payment that is until he meets Adele in his office where they strike an unlikely bargain one that will change the course of their lives. Will Dominic use Adele and her brother's debts to gain the upper hand in his war with the Suttons the true aggressors who use their fists to encourage gamblers to pay their debts or will he find another way.

Everything changes after one night of shared passion, Adele runs away only to remerge two months later at Abingdon Hall to witness the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Coventry at none other than Devereux Winter's country estate, unbeknownst to Adele Deaueraux is Dominic's legitimate half-brother who he hates with a passion. Dominic finally tracks her down and compromises her in front of Devereux and his wife resulting in their marriage. However will their marriage survive the reasons why Dominic is so determined to wed her, does he love her or will his need for vengeance and retribution destroy all that they have or will the secret that Adele carries in her womb which is the real reason she ran away drive a wedge between them or will they unite to form an unbreakable bond that will bring them both peace, completion and the loving home they both crave.

I do however have one tiny little niggle and wish that another chapter had been written between 13 and 14 detailing how Dominic came up with alternative plan to outwit Jasper Sutton, to gain his desire for a cheaper and better water supply for his people and to satisfy the wishes of his wife to safeguard her family from scandal. As well as the encounter between Dominic and Devereux where they strive to put aside their mutual animosity to learn more about each other and to ultimately hash out a deal that gives Jasper Sutton the warehouse he needs in exchange for his waterworks without him knowing that it is not Devereux that is paying but his hated rivial Dominic. Also what was Devereux's wife Lady Emilia's part in smoothing the path to their reconciliation as I bet that conversation wasn't a pleasant one either.

Aside from this I loved their story and their beautiful happy ending.

Winter’s Wallflower, by Scarlett Scott. Well ladies I didn’t want this book to end. This book spoiled me with so much of the good stuff. The author really has shown her skills with this short story. I found myself drawn to the romance and love affair of Adele and Dom.
It was a treat for me to read the clandestine love affair. I enjoyed the heat level to the book. The drama was brilliant. The entertainment was so good. Over all I was very impressed with this book. My favorite line from the book was from Dom, when he was talking to Adele.
“Trust me, angel. You’ll not be complaining if I eat you.” Once I read that, I had to give my response. “I am your feast. Eat me baby!”
“You will definitely not get any complaints out of me. My body is the the tinder to your sir-loin.” Dom’s character, is so commanding, strong, and masculine. His ability to provide pleasure to Adele had me wanting to read more. With Dom’s strong sexual desires, Adele didn’t shy away at all.
She gave and Dom took. Until next time my my fellow readers… read on!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💋💋

If you liked the original Winters series your going to love the bastard Winters.
These guys make the others look tame by comparison.

Dom is the head of the family and seems to rule with an iron hand, as he loves his side of the family, he equally hates the legitimate side. Devereaux feels the same about him.
Their main enemy is a character called Jasper Sutton but to know more of him you’ll have to read the book.

Dom’s character and all his family are so well thought out , you can almost start plotting the next book in your head . Devil,Gavin,Blade,Genevieve and Demon. Great names dont you think?

Anyway Lady Adele is the Daughter of a Duke and her brother is up to his eyeballs in debt to Dom . Adele thinks to pay of his debt in the age old fashion using her body and her innocence, Dom can’t refuse can he , it would be rude to look such a gift horse in the mouth.
So begins the tale of complete infatuation for Dom , he must find the woman that has consumed his mind. Except he thinks he’s looking for the brothers mistress not the sister.

Your going to love this book , it’s so good , so full of passion ,fun and tension, the characters will grow on you throughout and by the end you’ve been totally claimed by the new batch of Winters.
Give me more please.

Winters Wallflower is book 8 in Scarlett Scott’s The Wicked Winters series and the first concentrating on the illegitimate branch of the family. It can be read as a stand alone but as the rest are great fun, I would say to go back and definitely read the others.
Dominic Winter is a ruthless man. He rules his underworld empire with an iron fist and does not take betrayals lightly. When a mysterious lady arrives and begs mercy for a worthless Lord, he is intrigued. Supposing her to be said Lord’s mistress, he agrees to her bargain for one night in exchange for her protector’s safety. Entranced by her beauty and charm, Dom resolves to make her his. Until she disappears and Dom discovers her real identity. Now he will find her and make her pay for her deceptions.
Lady Adele Saltisford will do anything to save her brother from ruin at the hands of the feared owner of the infamous gambling den ‘The Devil’s Spawn’. But one beautiful night leaves her with unexpected consequences. Adele flees London to gain some time, but it isn’t long before the dangerous Mr Winter tracks her down. Forced into marriage with the rogue and with no idea of his real motivations can Adele overcome her husband’s distrust and thaw his unyielding heart?
Gosh, I loved Dom and Adele as a couple. Adele was brave, loyal, sweet and a little reckless. She did what she believed she had to do to save her brother but didn’t expect her intense attraction to the man she ought to fear. When she is forced back into his company, she soon sees beyond his outer façade to the honourable man starving for affection beneath.
Dominic was a surprise. He had a reputation as a callous man who did not take fools lightly – scarred both inside and out. But he fell for Adele hard and did everything he could to make her his. It was really emotional to see him change and how Adele’s love healed some of his inner scars. As he himself thought – she was dipped in sunshine [love that phrase] and banished the darkness within. His bond with his siblings is strong and I can’t wait to read each of their stories.
I love this series of novellas from Scarlett and this is a very worthy addition. It is slightly darker in tone from the first set of books but still had plenty of emotion, drama and passion. With it being a novella, you could wish for their story to be a little longer, but I didn’t feel that anything was too rushed or unexplained.
The epilogue was just lovely and left me smiling and with a warm feeling in my heart. There is a great set of new characters introduced and I can’t wait to carry on with the series. Adele’s sister Evangeline and Dom’s brother Devil are up next and it sounds just as good.
I was gifted an ARC for my honest opinion. Scarlett is an auto-buy author for me and I definitely recommend you read this.

Oh the Winters are back with a vengeance, this time it’s the six by blows who all have the same father but different mothers. There's no love lost between the legitimate & illegitimate Winters but maybe the ice will melt! The chemistry between Dom & Adele was scorching from their first meeting & was sustained even in the lovely epilogue. I loved how Adele stood up to Dom even though she was the quiet, wallflower one & how Dom was so protective of her. We also met the other half siblings who certainly aren’t conventional & I can't wait for their stories. An enthralling, captivating read that I devoured in a sitting
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

The book either needed to be longer or “Part I” needed to be shorter. I think a prologue would have been perfect.
We know Dom shows up at Dev’s house party already from the previous book so we didn’t need to wait 50 pages to see it in this book. This is by far what kept the book from ever being able to consider rating above 3 stars.

They didn’t have enough time together to actually get to know one another an fall in love. It was more like lust and good sex that was confused for love. Especially with how manipulative Dom was of Adele.
Also Adele does not come off as a wallflower in this book at all. Christabella’s book she does but not in her own book, so that title is misleading.

I know the Suttons needed to be introduced but the whole waterplant/property plot wasn’t needed. It was too rushed at the end and didn’t help develop anything for the two main characters. I would have prefers the story focus on them falling in love and not him trying to sell her back to her father. Abusive father at that.
That’s another thing I don’t get. We know her dad is awful. Why does she care if he comes around to their marriage? He doesn’t care about at least 2 of his daughters, we’ve seen it in two books in this series already.

I will say it has a bit of a Beauty and the Beast vibe to it. He forces her to be with him and proclaims how she is his, she learns there is more to him than all that.

Overall it was too similar to Hannah’s book (Adele’s older sister).

The 8th book in the Wicked Winters Series give us a chance to get to know the illegitimate branch of the Winter family tree. Specifically, Dominic "Dom" Winter, who is the lord of London's East End where he grew up. He is handsome, fair, fierce, & ruthless but if you have his word, he will always honor it.

A duke's daughter, Lady Adele Saltisford is a twin - her sister was loud, wild & beautiful while Adele was the quiet, practical one, & when she appears at the office of Mr. Winter at the Devil's Spawn to offer him her virtue - well, it was quite shocking. It was her only option to save her brother from Mr. Winter's thugs & he agreed, although she wasn't completely honest with him.

These Winters are so opposite their name - they have their own sizzling climate & they love deeply. Dom & Adele's romance goes from lust to love in a short time, but the obstacles caused by Adele caused distress for Dom & made him fighting mad. I loved that Deveraux Winter (head of the legitimate Winters) and Dom worked together in the end & hopefully we will see some closeness form between the 2 branches of siblings. I highly recommend this book to all readers who enjoy a steamy read but this whole series is wonderful & you will enjoy getting to know all the Winter family!

I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.

Engrossing story to add to all the wonderful books in the Wicked Winters series. This story adds the by-blow side of the Winters, starting with Dominic, a tough, non-feeling lord of London's dark side. Dominic has had to be tough to survive, and has thrived in the world he lives in with his brothers and sister. Lady Adele Saltisford is a lady of the ton, with a brother in trouble with his gambling. Adele decides to offer herself as payment for these debts and goes to Dominic. He is quite enthralled with her, and can't believe someone like her has come to his establishment, and can't let her go. Loved the way these two were drawn to each other. My favourite in this series so far (can be read as a standalone if you like). Highly recommend.

The eighth in Wicked Winters series does not disappoint. From the first page to the last Winter's Wallflower will keep your attention from the moment you begin the journey with Adele and Dom until the very end. It unfolds beautifully as it weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, illegitimate Winter siblings, and lethal rivalry. In the East End there's a gaming hell called The Devil's Spawn run by the most dangerous crime lord, Dominic Winters and his siblings. Dom is tall, dark, and dangerous, 100% alpha male. Adele is considered a wallflower, but to save her brother she will have to find an inner strength to face the devil incarnated, Dominic Winters.
Scarlett Scott has given readers a book that is well-written and well-paced, filled it with great cast of characters that come off the pages and pull you into this emotional ride that keeps you involved until the very end, sizzling passion, heartfelt dialogue with an enjoyable plot that brings this read together perfectly!

Another great installment of the Winter’s series!! Lady Adele finds herself at Dominic Winter’s gaming hell to save her brother from ruin. Dom is the ruthless lord of London’s underworld. What was she thinking giving herself to him in exchange for her brother’s safety? Little did she know this one night would change her life forever. I love how the author writes complicated and dark characters that can still have underlying goodness displayed. This is Dominic Winter. He cares deeply for his family and will do anything to protect them. Adele brings out the best in Dom. Can Dom and Adele survive both of their deceit and come to their HEA? You will love this book!! Can’t wait for the next book with Devil Winter and Lady Evangeline. I received an ARC of this book and is my honest review.

A SOLID 3.5 STARS!

THIS WAS A SHORT AND QUICKIE ROMANCE. I LOVED THE CHARACTER PAIRING, BECAUSE I'M A SUCKER FOR GAMBLING DEN OWNER MEETS HIGHBORN LADY ROMANCES! Since this was a quickie, don't expect anything more complex than what you see is what you'll get. Thus, the reason why I didn't rate it so highly because...there's only so little of it that you can rate.

DOMINIC and ADELE'S chemistry scorched up the pages right from the start, and I have zero complaints because it was smokin'! Despite it being almost insta-love, the pairing here worked for me because I'm biased that way, but yeah the plot itself didn't lend much excitement to the story. Adele ventured into Dominic's office just to plead her brother's case and she's willing to offer up anything. Not swayed at first, Dominic refuses her, assuming she's her brother's doxy and he's not going to erase a debt merely for pussy. He can get that for free, anywhere. What made him change his mind? Well, apparently Adele's got a visage that just rendered him speechless. Shallow much? Well, you know that feeling when sometimes a person's attractive but you just know there's more to them than that? Well, I'd like to believe that was the case here for Dominic because no other woman has ever made him want to possess her like Adele did with him. After one passionate night, his mysterious angel fled him, and 2 months later after hunting her down, he demands to marry her. Of course, she is coerced to do so, but she was already pregnant anyway. Might as well make her baby legitimate too, right....

OVERALL this was a very fast paced historical romance. It wasn't as intense as some of the author's other stories, and this wasn't an original type of troupe either. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it immensely.

A fast paced who kept me hooked throughout.
This is the story of Dominick winter, ruthless underworld king and lady Adele, daughter of a duke.
Adele spends a night with Dominic and becomes pregnant. Dominic wants to marry her not knowing her secret but for his own agenda. How the couple finds love forms the story.
Dominick was absolutely swoon worthy alpha male who behaves like a jerk sometimes.
Adele is sweet and innocent but strong willed. Their interactions are interesting.
My only concern was how the daughter of a duke married a bastardy so easily.
Enjoyed the story.

This book was everything I hoped it would be and more! I had been waiting in anticipation for so long for this book I was almost afraid to read it but it absolutely did not disappoint. It delivered from page one on all levels! The sparks flew! The heat and fire between Dom and Adele was incendiary. The storyline was well thought out and fast paced. I couldn’t put this book down. I kept wishing that it was longer until I got to the end and it was wrapped up so nicely I felt complete. Fantastic addition to an already wonderful series. Love love love!!!

I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review 😊

Scarlett Scott! She’s one of my favorite auto buy authors. If you’re looking for an author that delivers she’s your woman. She writes multiple books a year and she has multiple series.

Dom and Adele. These two are fire. This book really had me thinking. Are usually very good at figuring out how the book is going to turn out or where it’s going to go. But this book really had me on my toes. I thought I was going to be a completely different book and it was. These two characters are amazing. Adele really brings out the softness and Dom. This Girl is not phased by his edges.

Looking for a new series with multiple books in between this series is for you. The winters are back.

I just loved the characters of Dominic and Adele. Dominic had a tough upbringing and was a self made man. Adele, as the daughter of a duke, had led a pampered life. She was always thought of as the quiet obedient twin. However, there was much more to Adele than would first appear, she had a strength no one in her family thought her capable of. I enjoyed the interaction between Dominic and Adele. There was also the strained feelings between Dominic’s half brother, Deveraux. There is a mystery as to who is causing trouble for Dominic. I found this to be an entertaining read and the rest of Dominic’s half siblings seem to be an interesting group of characters and I look forward to reading their stories.

It seems that the author wrote his story in a hurry, very brief, concise and without elaboration. For instance "dom" has an employee who is a thief، ok, so how he has come to work for dom?
Or author said Adele has a family family consisting of her mother and siblings. And her beloved gambling brother, who made Adele sacrifice her virtue to save him.But unsatisfactory there is no interaction with these characters in the story 😑

Another book well written. It really shows how all the Winter siblings are honest , kind, and loyal to a fault. It also shows that they’re not afraid to work hard both, in life and in love, regardless of the legitimacy of their birth.
