I took this book by just reading the name of the author- Benyamin- the author of many famous books like Aadujeevitham, Manjavayil Maranangal, Jasmine Days etc and also because the genre listed was crime.
It was also mentioned that this book is the result of an experiment by the Publishing house DC Books during Covid time in which Benyamin participated along with 13 other young writers to write a novel. However, the experiment fell short for me. It lacked something hugely and didn’t quite fit into my reading type.
Each author has a different style of writing and when too many of them come together and imagine and continue the story started by one…It may not work! At least this one didn’t for me.
The books begins with the death of Bhaskara Pillai in the village and goes on to narrate the reason for his death (or did he actually die?) and the associated stories. There are few characters, deaths, an imaginary world, dream world and then real story.
Too many authors spoilt this one for sure!
