One look at Conrado and I knew that slime ball was trouble.
It's my business to know a bad deal when I see one and with one glance at that guy, I was ready to walk
Then I saw her. Iris, an innocent, enchanting beauty.
The moment our eyes met, I wanted her.
Common sense escaped me as I agreed to work with Conrado simply to be near her.
But something's wrong. What it is, Iris won't say.
Instincts on alert, I'm all in.
If they thought they could play me, they're not prepared for the consequences.
And if I find out he hurt her... there'll be hell to pay.

Sahara Roberts caught the writing bug early in life. She enjoys writing Dark Romance and Romantic Suspense. Her days are filled with international trade issues (the legal kind) and her evenings writing steamy romance.
She is currently working on expanding the Billionaire Heirs series.
Sahara lives in South Texas with her beloved husband and their three furry overlords. She enjoys cooking, baking, and cake decorating, but she would certainly prefer to have someone else do the dishes.

Stealing Iris is a story that is about mainly Iris. Iris is a admirable main character I love how she has a hard life but is coping with it. Dante mysterious as he is, he isn’t a character that I personally like much. The story started off strong and gave off great vibes. Sadly I don’t think that the strong start it started with had that same good flow till the end. Stealing Iris ended quite abruptly I had many manyyyy unanswered questions after, they mainly focus on Dante. Like what exactly is his background information, what does he do? I do know that this is labeled as mafia romance but there wasn’t much “mafia” included which disappointed me. On a better note there was romance scenes that were spicy enough for all you romance lovers. I also loved how there were many perspectives of each character and not just Iris. The characters were written ok-ish they needed more depth to them. Overall I would recommend this story despite it’s flaws (all stories have flaws which is normal) and I’m quite interested in reading the next book to the series.
This story seriously had me at page 1, the storylines were so intriguing and interesting that I could not stop reading. Plus, most of the characters are so likable, especially Iris and Dante. I admired Iris soo much, she has had such a hard life and struggled with not only economic problems, but she also had to deal with her complicated stepmother, let alone her abusive stepbrother. On the other side, I did not get to understand fully the story, there were some holes and confusing details about the plot I still do not understand, for example, what was Conny looking from Dante. I also wish we could have learned more about Dante's past, where he comes from, and what he does for a living. Hence the 4 stars. I still have so many questions I hope they will be clarified in the next book. I felt like the story started off very well, but ended very abruptly. Nevertheless, I loved the chemistry and growing attraction between Iris and Dante, in my opinion, this is what made the book so entertaining. However, the suspense turns and twists of the story made it so much more intriguing and left me wanting for more.

Well written filled with suspense, twists, chemistry, and intrigue. This is an engaging read with dynamic and detailed characters. This had heartwrenching backstory with plenty of emotion throughout the story. This does end a cliffhanger that leaves you with more questions.
I was enthralled by this book from the very first page. The author crafted a dark and captivating story that was difficult to read at times but also compelling because I wanted her to have a better life and for the monsters to pay. I wasn’t happy about waiting until the next book but fully accept that I’m hooked and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
**Read the trigger warnings before going into this book!**
Firstly, I want to thank the author and BookSirens for allowing me to read this ARC in return for a honest review.
Stealing Iris was not what I expected it to be. I enjoyed the way Dante wanted to take care of Iris and save her from the enemy, but I felt like there were so many holes in the story. Some of storyline felt rushed and was missing information. I still am not sure what Dante's job entailed, I have an idea, but I'm not one hundred percent.
Iris had a hard life and I felt for her, especially during the scenes with her and Conny. I enjoyed the different perspectives of the story, Conny and his partner are twisted individuals who only see dollar signs and have no consideration of other humans. Greed is their poision, most definitely.
I did enjoy the steamy scenes of this book. I thought Dante and Iris had a lot of chemistry, and I think they make a good couple. I wanted more of their time together as a couple! Again, I liked how he wanted to take care of Iris and get her away from the abuse she had to go through. I also enjoyed Tino and his dry personality.
Great start to a new trilogy! Dante is offered a deal he can’t refuse. But sparks fly between his and Iris, will he be able to discover the truth about her and keep her safe? Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. There is a cliffhanger so be prepared. Looking forward to book 2. I loved it.
Stealing Iris was something new to me. This was my first time reading s book by this author. Dante and Iris story was so good. I am just a little disappointed of the end. I really hope the author going to finish their story. Because there is still so much more to till. Like where is her father, and is Conrado going to finally get what is coming to him. I will take him going to jail or Dante and Tino killing him. I just really hope Iris and Dante story is not over.
*Not rated because it would be unfair as I DNF it.*
The writing was great, and I’m sure the storyline is good as well, however I could not go past the fact that the female MC was being abused like that 😩
I guess I wasn’t in the right headspace at the time...
Dante was a man that did not do relationships, and but he fell hard for Iris by sewsummore
Iris was a innocent, young woman who was being groomed as a sex slave by her father's lover and her son. Dante is a mafia middle man, it has made him a very rich man, but there is something missing from his life. Then he meets Iris and he knows he wants her. She was still a virgin when he made love to her the first time. Her innocent desire to please him inflames his senses and he knew that once would never be enough. This story captivated me from the beginning, Dante was a man that did not do relationships, and but he fell hard for Iris. Their situation was complicated by lies and deception, but when Iris desperately needed him, he came for her. I found this story heartbreaking at times, Iris had been manipulated in a sadistic plan from which she had no defense. This story continues in the next book of the series, Iris is safe for the present, but there are more shocks in store for her in the next book.

Wow! I definitely want me a Dante, big alpha male that reminds me of a hedgehog- prickly on the outside but such a warm tender soul on the inside.
I loved this book. While I think there definitely could have been more to it in terms of length, I was pleased. I wish there was more to it after that last page (yes I know it carries on in the follow up book) but I wish this one had more to it.

This dark Mafia romance is my first time reading this author and I loved it, I am now eagerly awaiting book 2 in the series as this book does end with a cliffhanger, so be prepared. There is violence and abuse in this book so if those are triggers for you then please be prepared or pass on the book. If you are able to read this though you are in for a real treat as this truly is a wonderful read.

Exceptionally well written story with intrigue, suspense, blackmail, twists and turns, intense chemistry and so many questions that keep you guessing long after you finish the book. I was hooked from the first page and the amazing characters, developments and surprises keeps the reader engaged and unable to put the book down until the last page, and I was not happy that I had more questions than answers. I still don't know what Dante does other than he is a facilitator for the elites of criminal society, have a feeling its not pretty, then what does Montoya mean Iris is " something of great value", where is Iris's father, what is Conrado and his mother really up to and when can we can cheer because they get what they deserve?
I loved Iris's character she was so sweet, sassy, proud and independent even after the abuse, blackmail and poverty she experiences at Conrado and his mothers hands. Dante was really good to her and I love how he went all Alpha protector on her. The author did an amazing job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between Iris and Dante and their growing attraction to each other. The supporting characters and relationships between them were realistic and well done. I loved this book can't wait to read book 2.
Sensitive readers should know that this book contains several graphic descriptions about sexual and physical abuse and violence and that they should give this book a miss.

This story was so good I really wanted to give this a 5 but I feel insulted that I have to read more of the story to get to the end. This has so much going on and not much of it good. There is intrigue, blackmail, abuse, twists and turns, so much chemistry between Dante and Iris. I was hooked on page one. I love Iris's character. She's the sweetest, most innocent, proud, and stubborn.. I hated Conrado. I can't wait until he and his mother get what's coming to them. I love Tino as he seemed to be the only one who had a clue that Iris was in trouble where as Dante had his feeling hurt. The attraction between Dante and Iris is fantastic. What I didn't care for was to be left hanging and waiting for book 2 so that we can finish the story. I'm not sure that I read that there would be a cliffhanger and I usually stay away from books that don't finish. I'll read the second book only because this was so good but I don't think that I will stay with an author who keep dragging out the stories. First book I've read from this author. Stealing Iris is a dark mafia read featuring Iris, a victim of physical and emotional abuse by her stepbrother and stepmother, and Dante, who assists elite criminals and rescues Iris. This intense and well written novel has a plot with domestic and sexual abuse, intrigue, unexpected twists, and steamy chemistry. The book ends in a cliffhanger and continues in Saving Bonnie.

My first time reading this author and what a pleasure to go into her world of suspenseful drama so full of twist and unspoken truth and lies. Wonderful characters with amazing chemistry! This ends with a cliffhanger. I wish to see more of her writing soon.

Dark and Gritty! I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

I really enjoyed this book! This book had a little bit of everything. It had suspense, jealousy, chemistry, blackmail, and twists and turns. I was hooked by the first chapter and kept wanting more.
I felt sad for Iris. She has such a heart-wrenching story. She is so strong despite all her hardships.
I fell in love with Dante. He is such an alpha male and he wants to protect what's his.
I still had some questions that were unanswered towards the end of the book, but I'm hoping these will be answered in the next book. I thought the ending was a little abrupt. I can't wait for book two!

**This is a Dark Mafia Billionaire Romance containing mature themes, adult situations, and graphic violence. If you are not prepared to deal with this, please pass on the opportunity.
Yeah - there was no trigger warnings she was being raped by her step brother and the 'hero' of the story comes in and joins I mean WTF I literally just deleted the book
I liked the fact that the main character was Latina (assumed). I liked the small nods to her culture.
It was interesting to see a main female character experiencing poverty in a real way. A lot of "Cinderella" stories fail to nail what being poor actually looks like.
I liked the setting, Texas, the border, the neighborhood and grocery store all were easy to see and imagine.
I liked Tino. And while I hated the "villain" he was very fleshed out. Like realistically an abusive loser.
The bad-
There were no clear trigger warnings and "violence" was not adequate. The main female character is brutally raped/sodomized repeatedly by her step brother. There is zero consent, zero pleasure, mentions of blood, grimacing etc... and at one point her love interest participates in a rape as a third person.
The main love interest points out through his POV lots and lots of red flags that point towards rape, non consent, fear, abuse etc during the rape scene and after it but never once processes it as what it is. This was hard for me to accept. We are lead to believe this man is wealthy, powerful, intelligent, sophisticated and deeply involved in the criminal world but at the same time can't tell when a self described "innocent" young "woman/child" who is looking away, looking at her feet, flinching, hiding in locked bathrooms etc is in trouble with a guy he also self acknowledges is the epitome of a loser.
Which brings me to my connected but biggest complaint. The main male character is TSTL (too stupid to live). He doesn't connect what's happening till the 90% mark of the book and participates in enabling and even contributing towards her abuse and suffering. There is nothing hot or attractive or alpha about a man who is like this.
The only reason I don't completely hate him is the main female character was also TSTL. She finally had access to a man with power and wealth and interest in her and anyone with a shred of intellect would have ran and told him everything hoping for help and rescue. He literally gave off every vibe he was capable of helping her.
They both deserve each other but I hope they don't reproduce.
The ugly-
It ends on a cliff hanger. And the next book in the series centers on a new couple. So basically you don't get to see how they really end up as a couple. And it's not a cliff hanger where they wrap up the story but then throw in a surprise twist at the end that makes you want another book...this is just a complete end mid story with zero resolution with the villain or complete resolution for the couple.
This was yet again a first read of mine by this author. To begin with, I was quite impressed by this work. The physical setting was lovely. The theme was congenial with my tastes making the read totally pleasant. However this book managed to stand out mainly due to various reasons. First among many was the writing which was admirable. The plot was very engaging. The characters were astounding in nature and their acts throughout the work. The sensual chemistry and the way it was written were utterly alluring. The story had elements of suspense and twists in apt doses. The story was told through various points of views.
Despite the fact that the end was a cliff-hanger, I was left with numerous unsolved questions and there were several loose ends to be tied. The character development of several characters did not feel sufficient. Especially that of the male protagonist as his side of the story seemed incomplete.
Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this as a charming read for admirers of romantic thrillers. There is a great potential and promise visible in Ms Sahara Roberts's writing. I am absolutely rooting for the second sequel of the book. I appreciate all the efforts she has put into the work and wish her very well.

🛡️🛡️ONE DECADENT WILD RIDE🛡️🛡️ Screeching skivvies scooby! Sahara has outdone herself with this turbulent rollercoaster, laying out cruel facts, atrocious lessons and brutal abuse, hooking you from the first sentence to the last word, launching this bad boy to a whole new level. Captive in a vicious nightmare full of riveting drama, gripping intrigue, sinister actions, underlying threats, damning blackmail, churning danger, escalating suspense and nerve racking situations, secrets confessed, revelations unmasked and promises made, putting our characters through their paces, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. The attraction and chemistry ignites with such intensity, exploding with boundless emotions and infinite affections, binding them together beautifully. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Amazing job Sahara, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
I'm so torn and a bit upset and a touch needy 🤯 Did I miss something? I feel lost almost like I missed something important that would have tied things together a bit more 🤷♀️ - a clue? A hint? An entire prequel?
I connected with the characters so easily but felt disconnected from the story Does that make sense? I devoured this in one sitting - paused to order pizza 'cause I had to know and I wasn't about to walk away until I did I still don't by the way 🤦♀️know that is
Why did Dante give Conrado the time of day? What's up with Mr. I see the future? I think I have a crush on Tino! Where's Pop's? I did finally understand why Iris let all that happen - fear is quite the motivator Izz makes me feel slimy but now I'm curious who his family is Did I miss a book before this one? Someone, please assist Olga to a dark room... and leave her there
This (IMO) is one puzzle piece after another slowly slotting together, it has some dark moments but overall it is a whole lot of suspense and breadcrumb trails that lead up to moments of clarity for Dante ( and the reader which just adds to the whole suspense thing)and ends on a to be continued I am dying to get the whole picture here!
Dante pulls into a small market for medicine for his impending migraine. There is a cute girl working that catches his attention. Then the power goes out making it impossible to use his card to pay for the pain medication. Then his worse nightmare comes from the back. A man he had investigated to invite to his elite club. He has nothing that Dante's club could benefit from his membership until he sees Dante's interest in his stepsister.
Iris has been sexually abused by her thecson of her dad's girlfriend for years with his mom's blessing. When she is forced to meet him at the pay by the hour hotel he prefers she tries to distance herself from the pain is is inflicting. To her horror he has invited the gorgeous stranger to watch him. And then made her give him a blow job while he finished his business. When she came out of the bathroom after showering the man, Dante, is back. Only he is shocked when he enters her and realizes that she was a virgin.
Great book. I love the characters and the storyline draws you in immediately. Iris still has an innocence even through all the abuse she suffered. I wish the issue of her father had been resolved, but all said this is an amazing story and I look forward to ready more by Sahara Roberts.
Stealing Iris is part of the Dangerous Desires Series by Sandra Roberts. Iris was a sweet girl who always wanted to do the right thing and she dedicated her life to her parents. She helped her father run his grocery store and she took care of her dying mother. Her Dad had a bad girlfriend who even moved into their house before her mother died. When Iris's father was kidnapped, her father's girlfriend and her evil son Conrado took over everything. They set her up, blackmailed and threatened her. Conrado thought she was the ticket to his fortune and had plans to sell her at a virgin auction. He offers her to Dante and he was mesmerized. The chemistry between Iris and Dante was immediate. Lots of drama, some danger, betrayal and misunderstandings. Things go off course when Iris and Comrado attend an event at Dante's home. Comrado doesn't follow the rules and Dante thinks Iris set him up and betrayed him. Later he realizes the trap Comrado has Iris in and he comes to her rescue. No spoiler here but things get exposed like dominoes falling. Things take a turn for the better for Iris and Dante and wow the book ends with a big cliffhanger. I read this book via Book Sirens and voluntarily chose to write a review.
