There was a lot going on in A Cold Case on High. There was the murders at The Witch Cavern Spa, there is what's Julian hiding and how is Indie going to get back to her Gran. I knew who the killer was from the start. That's okay I like to see if I'm right or not. As Julian and Indie's romance continues you just know he is hiding something. I love how Indie doesn't let the town people and law enforcement stop her from finding the killer. My favorite part of this series is the band of misfits and how they have each others backs and how they protect each other. I get the feeling that J.L. Collins is working on getting Indie out of the cursed town, just by how much Indie is talking about getting back to her Gran. In my opinion there was more mystery and suspense ins this one than A Cold Case Spoiled. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
What excitement! Indie's life definitely took a turn in this story, and I cannot wait to hear what happens next. The mystery was almost back burner to all the twists and turns in Indie's life, which was perfectly fine by me, as I would be very happy hanging out with Indie and her friends any time.
As Indie continues to strengthen her magic, she solves another murder and takes one step closer to figuring out how to break the Freezing Curse placed on the town by Mother Nature ... and realizing she just might have feelings for Ash, the local librarian Grim Reaper! Such a FUN series!!
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
