Bizzy Baker runs the Country Cottage Inn, has the ability to pry into the darkest recesses of both the human and animal mind, and has just stumbled upon a body. Mind-reading innkeeper Elizabeth "Bizzy" Baker Wilder is up to her neck in trouble when her fancy British boss holds a Christmas party at the Inn, and then gets murdered. Not only does Bizzy have another murder on her hands, but she also has to worry about her future, because she may also be jobless and homeless depending on who inherits the Inn where she works and lives.
This is another satisfying installment in the Country Cottage Mysteries. It's a cute bit of holiday fluff with pets galore, wacky relatives, and competing proposals. It's fun, though there's a sameness to most of the Country Cottage Mystery stories that makes them really predictable. Still, the writing is good and the characters are still interesting. It's a fun, light read for Christmas.
Rudolph needs to come live with me! He’s absolutely adorable and full of energy! Rudolph is the sweetest little puppy there ever was. He was given as a gift to the Country Cottage Inn’s owner who tragically is murdered on the same night. Now Bizzy is out to find out who committed the crime with the help of her comical crew! This story was a joy and is giving me total Christmas vibes right now!
It's Christmastime in Cider Cove, Vermont. The Country Cottage Inn is decorated with gorgeous trees and wreaths and even a herd of reindeer out in the snowy entrance. It's going to be a special holiday as the British owner has arrived for a visit . He had Bizzy Baker Wilder, the manager, plan a Christmas Gala. Things don't go exactly as planned and there's a murder on the grounds!
To complicate matters further, Bizzy's crazy friend Georgie and Bizzy's mother are trying to open a new store in time for holiday shopping while bickering over the new shop's name. Bizzy's brother, Huxley, is planning on asking her nemesis MacKenzie to marry him. At the same time Mack is planning on asking Hux to marry her. And, her best friend Emmie's boyfriend, Leo, is planning on popping the question to her too. All of them have enlisted Bizzy's help with the best way to propose. On top of all of these things, Bizzy's trying to help solve the murder despite her husband Jasper trying to keep her careful and safe. Can Bizzy solve this murder, stay safe, and help everyone to have a Merry Christmas? Only time will tell.

A country Inn, Christmas trees, wreaths, snow and even a herd of reindeer. What could be better? How about a Christmas Gala and a British visitor?
With three proposals to help plan and a disagreement between her best friend and mother to sort out about their new store, Bizzy is over-the-top busy. Even with all that, everything is still shaping up to be a grand holiday, until another body drops. Now, on top of everything else she has on her cookie platter, Bizzy is out to help solve the newest murder. Is it going to be a Merry Christmas for all or will the Grinch steal their holiday cheer?
You're gonna have to read and find out.
I love this author 's books. They are always fun to read and I'm never left feeling disappointed. Well done to the author on another festive holiday mystery story.
A Christmas to Dismember is the twelfth book in the Country Cottage series. Country Cottage Mystery series, it is part of a series, but could be read as a stand alone and you would be just fine. This series is about Bizzy, a fun quirky Inn manager that loves her quaint little home town Cider Cove. When is not your normal run of the mill manager when Bizzy was younger and almost drown she gained the ability to read minds. This has been a blessing and a curse. The holidays are just around the corner and Quinn, the in owner, is coming into town and wants to throw a holiday party that won’t be forgot. Well Quinn definitely got his wish just not the way he probably intended. The night of the party after the show ended he was found dead in the garden. The list of suspects is many seeing that Quinn could be seen as hard to get along with. Bizzy hopes to have the case wrapped up by Christmas but so far everyone on the list is pointing fingers at each other and no one suggests the same person.
Bizzy is hosting her boss and his friends. Things seems to be going well until they discover Quinn dead. Bizzy and Jasper will try to figure out who did it and why. This is personal to Bizzy. Bizzy is also has been enlisted to help with proposals. She is excited by one of them. Bizzy receives a gift she was not expecting.
This was wonderful story to read. You have a great cast of characters that will make you laugh. Also the mystery of the murder, you won't realize it until end. I highly recommend reading this, you will love it.
Bizzy is back again, with another homicide! When the wealthy Earl who owns the Inn pops into the picture, inviting all his wealthy friends to a Christmas Spectacular, murder is imminent. Bizzy bounces all over the place in this one! Hunting a killer and planning three proposals all before Christmas! Can she get it done?
Fantastic Read!! Addison and Bellamy have me hook, line, and sinker!!
Cider Cove, Vermont, is up for a very busy Christmas season. Bizzy’s boss comes back to the states to throw a shindig so the inn. When there is a murder that night at the inn, things get kind of run, yet it is the beginning of lots of fun. Jasper, Bizzie and their animals are all ready for Christmas to come. There will be marriage proposals, fining of the murderer and lots of good times! I had a fabulous time reading this book!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Bizzy Baker is planning a party to remember for her boss from over the pond. With the holidays fast approaching and engagements coming up, the last thing Bizzy needs is to stumble upon another body. However, luck isn't with Buzzy as another body is found. Jasper, as per usual doesn't want Bizzy to investigate, but this one is too close to home for Bizzy. With a cute new pup under her wing, Fish, Sherlock, and the usual family and friends, Bizzy will have to work twice as hard to solve this murder. This will certainly be an unforgettable Christmas!
We are brought back to the Country Cottage Inn, where the halls have been decked and Christmas in in the air. When Bizzy is preparing for a Christmas Spectacular, with her mostly absent boss, death was the last thing on her mind. With a Murder to catch, romance in the air, her mom and Georgie taking the wonkey quilts to a new level, Christmas in Cider Cove will never be the same. A laugh out loud keeps you engaged right to the end. With twists and turns to keep you guessing you can’t go wrong with a book by Addison and Bellamy!
Can Cider Cove have a calm Christmas? If you've been reading these books, you know that won't happen. After a murder happens at the Christmas Gala, it's up to Bizzy with the help of Sherlock Bones and Fish to find the murderer and help Mack and Leo with their proposals. Great read. Excited to see what's next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Christmas and a great mystery in a great town, what more can you ask for! Get ready to curl up with this good book with our favorite characters and be prepared to stay a while, as it is always hard to leave Bizzy and the gang!
Bizzy Baker Wilder is hosting a grand Christmas Gala at the Country Cottage Inn. Her boss and owner of the Inn , Quinn, from over seas is in town for the fun and festivities. Unfortunately he did not get to enjoy them for long. Someone decided to end his good time and his life right there at his own Inn and at Christmas time! Bizzy will no doubt have to get down to investigating this horrible crime. Between that, running the Inn and dealing with every day life with her crazy crew the holidays will prove to be very interesting! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I think you will too!

This story had everything you could need from a cozy mystery. It had mystery, suspense, and romance. It had that humor that only Georgie & Juni can bring to a story (if you've read any of the others in this series, you'll know what I mean), which I absolutely love. And, it even had emotion. There were quite a few surprises and sad moments also.
I'm sad to say that this is the end of the line for me. Some characters have become very irritating, obnoxious and their little digs aren't teasing, but cruel. Grow a backbone Bizzy!
I have mixed feelings about this series. I love that the animals can talk to Bizzy. Some of the things they say are adorable, especially coming from puppy Rudolph, who is this book's orphan that Bizzy ends up caring for until she finds a home.
The owner of the Country Cottage Inn holds a party for close friends and businesses associates. Bizzy sees someone slip something into her boss, Earl Quinn Bennet's drink and she doesn't think to tell him???? The party goes smashingly well until they find Quinn's partially dismembered body.
A couple of the character's are annoyingly over the top, especially Georgie, an octogenarian hippie who at one point strips to a g-string. Both she, her daughter, and Bizzy's sister Macy jump into bed with any available male. While Macy is young and beautiful, the older ladies have no trouble at all finding younger men to fulfill their constant needs.
I don't understand why Bizzy ever let Georgie and Juni in on her secret, that she can communicate with animals, because they are incredibly indiscrete.
I also don't know why Bizzy in a previous book gave Georgie one of her precious orphans to adopt, as she is completely irresponsible. She mentions that the dog leaves a lot of "Tootsie Rolls" around the cottage. "You mean I am supposed to take him outside?" How does she get all these men to come to her cabin when the place must smell like a zoo?
Much to Bizzy's surprise, she finds that Quinn has left her the inn!
Leo and Hux both ask Bizzy's advice on the perfect proposal. Leo has Bizzy hide Emmie's engagement ring in a piece of cake. Unfortunately, the proposal does not go off quite as planned when Emmie chokes on it and ends up spewing out both the ring and the undigested cake all over Leo when Bizzy gives her the Heimlich Manoeuvre.
Hux and Mackenzie both plan to fight, then propose to each other. Not romantic but very much in character for Mayor Mackenzie. They do end up screaming "Marry Me" to each other, then "Fine".
Bizzy commits what in my opinion is the ultimate sin - she stupidly confronts the killer. True, she had texted Jasper to ask him to meet her in front of her mother's shop (without telling him why), but she does not wait for an answer. When he tells her she has no evidence, she asks where his other white glove is. Of course her husband the homicide detective does arrive before the killer kills her, too, and then instead of chastising her for her stupidity, Jasper is proud of her!!!

This is 12th in the series and I didn't read any of the prior. I think it is okay to jump into this series it didn't take away from the story. The murder and mystery were good. Although there was an incident that wasn't explained that I would like to know. The characters were interesting but there were tons of sexual innuendo through out the book by multiple characters. It was a bit much for me in a cozy. The paranormal element was interesting with mind reading and knowing what animals are thinking. It was a good cozy.
Didn't guess this one, but amazing how perfectly nice people turn murderous.
When Bizzy's boss comes to visit and throws a huge party, no one expects a murder. Now she'll need to find the killer, while helping plan three wedding proposals go off without a hitch. Lots going on with this one but luckily, mostly in Cider Cove.
If only she can manage to not place herself in danger. I don't think Harper can take much more of her almost dying too.
12/25. This is a cozy mystery concerning the death of the inn owner at the big Christmas bash held at the inn whose hand was found apart from his body. Bizzy Baker Wilder, manager of the inn and married to the town police detective, helps solve the murder. She could read the minds of people and animals, a skill that helped narrow down the suspects. Some portions of the story, especially those involving Bizzy's friends, seemed silly. Quick read.
I love this book and the rest of the series. Its funny keeps you guessing. Best part I like is bizzy reads minds not only humans but animals too. When I read it feels like I'm in the story love Sherlock always wants bacon. Plus rest of the characters are good and funny. Loved it. I can't want for the next. Keep up the great writing
Bizzy and company are just fun reads. Bizzy sleuthing kills are gutsy. Her friends are hilarious. Her furry buddies would do anything to help her. And her husband loves her. This mystery surprise d me, was not my suspect. Thank you for an excellent job.
This is an awesome series! I love the interaction between the pets and Bizzy. Fish and Sherlock Bones are very interesting characters. I'm so glad Rudolph got his fur-ever home for Christmas. Buzzy got the Inn and all! I was really hoping she would. This is definitely one of my favorite series!
It was time for Christmas but there was another murder in the bay. This is the twelfth book in the series. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
If you love animals, food and murder mysteries this is the book for you ! Bizzy can read minds and the animals help her.So Fish, the cat Sherlock, and Rudolph make for Purr,Woof and murder solving! I recommend this book to all of you!
These books could be so.geat if they just got rid of AI reader. Stories are good, characters are great otherwise I would have stopped at book 3. wish author would actually read reviews instead of the threats of making sure we buy the books and not give them away. I bought mine.
