Josiah Beachy is a dead man.

At least, that's the lie most of the people in his former Amish community have believed for the last eighteen years. He has made a lot of mistakes in his life, but his number one regret is leaving his young daughter, Bailey, behind. After he receives a letter from Indiana, he decides it's time to begin righting some of the wrongs in his life, including reconciling with his daughter. But will she ever forgive him for abandoning her?

Widow Elnora Schwartz has no intentions of remarrying after losing the love of her life. But when Josiah Beachy sweeps into town with a buggy-load of regret, her heart goes out to him. But would it be wise to trust her heart to a man who has lived most of his life as defector to the Amish life she cherishes?

One thing Josiah wasn't counting on is meeting Nora, a pretty widow with two young girls. As he begins to fall for her, he is torn and must decide whether he will join the Amish church again or stay Englisch - and alone.

Can love...and faith...bond them together?

As a member of the Launch team for this book by Jennifer Spedemann I received a copy to read and review with my honest opinion of the book. This book is the fourth book in the Amish Country Brides series. Having read every book I waited with anticipation to read this story about Bailey. Not to be disappointed, Jennifer has the talent to wrap you in the story and you must read that "one more page", "one more chapter", and you are at the epilogue! Don't miss this series.

This book is a continuation of the “Amish Country Brides” series by author Jennifer Spreademann. If you haven’t read the other books in this series, you can still enjoy this one on its own; but I believe once you read this story you’ll want to go back and read the whole series.

If you have read the series, you’ll be interested to read Bailey Miller’s story. We first met Bailey as a very young girl when her mother, Kayla, married Silas Miller. Now she’s a teenager being courted by her first beau. Things seem to be going in a wonderful direction for Bailey. However, a long-hidden secret comes to light, and Bailey finds her life changed forever. The highlight of this book for me was the character of Bailey. The author portrays her as a normal seventeen year old: A mixture of wisdom and immaturity; caring and courageous; suffering heartbreak, yet still having an interest in all that’s happening around her. I’m glad that in the next book of the series we have an opportunity to read more of Bailey’s story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

The Drifter is an amazing story written by Jennifer Spredeman in her Amish Country Brides series. This story continues with characters from the previous book but some time has passed with Bailey now all grown up. Bailey discovers some hidden information which causes her to consider what is true in her life. Bailey takes matters in her own hands and sets things in motion to meet her biological father that she had been told was dead. Now she has to deal with the fallout from her parents. She is not sure if Josiah Beachy will even respond to her request to come for a visit since he would have to come clean that he is alive.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Congratulations to Jennifer Spredeman on continuing her series with this amazing story of forgiveness, acceptance, and faith.

Author Jennifer Spredemann has done it again.. another 5 star page turner, one you just can not put down. It has secrets, forgiveness, faith and lots of Praise to Gott..
I also enjoyed seeing the characters from " The Charmer" in this book.. was great to follow their lives.
The story gave me lot of emotion, happy, sad and cheering for Josiah, who is " The Drifter".
My favorite character was Silas. I loved how he could be upset at josiah one minute, and forgiving him the next. He also shared the Bie with Josiah, and helped him to find Gott..
As always I loved the great Bible verses and lessons Jennifer Spredemann adds to her stories. I really hope those lessons may lead others to God.
I was given an ARC copy and this is in my own words..

I was given a copy of this Arc for an honest review. Jennifer Spredemann is one of my favorite authors. She does not disappoint in this book. It is a continuation of the series. I love all the characters. I zipped through this book. I only gave it 4 stars because I felt it ended too abruptly. It needed more chapters to follow the story. We went from point a to point b too fast. Loved the book though. #drifter #spredemann #amishbook

The Drifter....another awesome book by Jennifer Spredemann
Secrets..you know just about everyone has a secret or two.
Bailey had grown up thinking her Dad was dead, but after several
years she found a letter that her Mom had hidden saying he
was alive.

After a recent breakup with her boyfriend. Bailey decides she wants
to meet her Dad, so she writes him a letter.

With ups and downs in family life Josiah couldn't decide if he
wants to return to his Amish life or stay in the English world.
On a trip to see his parents after being in the English world,
he decided to turn his life over to God and God begins to work
in his life.He finally decides to return to his Amish life.

An awesome book that you must read. You may want to cry and shout
while you are reading....

I just finished reading The Drifter, the next book in the Amish Country Brides Series. The whole series has been really engaging and interesting to read. In this book we see Josiah, who has left the Amish life behind as he has sought the Englischer life style. After many years pass, he receives a letter that leads his life into directions he probably never dreamed of.

Josiah has a kind and endearing personality and this comes through clearly in the book and you really enjoy the journey with Josiah. He has stuff to overcome, to deal with and take responsibility for. This is sometimes very hard in life and does he have the faith he needs to do those things that he faces?

Just as with the previous stories, I was delighted to read this one. And they are all so good. You won't want to miss any of them! This is a great Christian-themed book, well worth your time to read. I wasn't able to put it down, till I knew exactly what happened!

I received an ebook copy from the author, all thoughts are my own.

Another Spectacular Read

As with all of her books , you jump right into the story from the very first sentence. The characters all reach into your heart and become part of your own community. There is nothing childish about her writing and you always wish the books were longer because you devoured them so quickly because they are always so good.

This 4th book in the series, Amish Country Brides, kept me up late several nights as I just had to see what was going to happen next. This story centers around Bailey as we follow her journey. When Bailey discovers an unknown secret, it definitely changes her life.

A true roller coaster of emotions for both the characters and the reader. Such a great story and easy to follow.

A copy of this book was provided to me by the author for an honest review.

Another great book by Jennifer Spredmann. In this story Josiah learns that what he thought he wanted to get away from was not what he needed in the end. Things are not as they seem and sometimes joy is right in front of you.

Didn't quite buy the HEA ending

Forgiveness is not hard with God's help. But reconciliation is not. Had some difficulties with the apparent premise in this book that they naturally come together.
