I was gifted this journal over the Christmas holiday this past year in an attempt to help me deal with some pretty serious issues regarding my family. While I am not a Christian, I went into this journal with an open mind, and I ended up taking away a few helpful coping mechanisms from it. I appreciate what this journal has done for me, however, I do wish it was set up in a manner that was less "preach-y". I recognize that some may benefit from that, but I believe there is a way to discuss faith and the Bible without shoving it down someone's throat. This journal, unfortunately took the approach of throat shoving, and it just wasn't needed.

This journal and the accompanying book popped out to me at a critical time in my life. I needed to have the conversations with myself and with others that are outlined in this book. In addition to providing healing and suggestions for past trauma, this book and the journal walked me through months of a different traumatic situation in ways that prevented new wounds from forming. I would recommend this journal and book to anyone.

I thought the written content of this book/journal was super. Definitely helpful for people working toward forgiveness. I would have given it 5 stars, but I thought it was really weird that there were so many photos of Lysa in the book. I think she is a gifted writer and speaker, but I found the photos distracting. I also think it would have been easier to use as a journal if it had been spiral bound as opposed to a hardcover book. It would have been much easier to write in.

This journal is the companion to "Forgiving What You Can't Forget". I would 100% recommend that anyone reading the book do this journal along with it. I feel it really deepened my experience & made me get to the bottom of some issues. It is filled with practical exercises/prompts. The layout is beautiful! I found this to be really helpful & plan to redo it sometime!

I got this as a companion to "Forgiving What You Can't Forget" by Lysa TerKeurst. While it definitely gave you some action to take after reading a chapter in Forgiving What You Can't Forget, I didn't find this overwhelmingly helpful. It gave a few questions, quotes from the chapter, and scripture. Some of the questions felt redundant and vague and I wish I would have just gotten the book instead of the journal as well. It was just...meh. However, I am wondering if this journal could be helpful to someone without reading "Forgiving What You Can't Forget". I think it might be!

Highly recommended for waking through hard times!

I highly recommend reading the book and this journal separately because they both have rich content that allows them to stand-alone. I got just as much wisdom and healing from the journal as a I did from the book. I worked through the journal a few months after reading the book and I’m confident that it reenforced all that I’ve been learning about forgiveness. I’ll be recommending this book to everyone that I can for years to come!

If you’re going to read “forgiving what you can’t forget” and want to get the most out of it that you can, the I highly recommend doing this journal alongside the book. I’ll admit it’s not “fun” but it’s worthwhile work. I probably wouldn’t have gotten near as much from the book without this journal.

This journal is a companion to the Forgiving What You Cant Forget book. It’s goes chapter by chapter so after you read one chapter in the book, you go to the journal to take a deeper dive. I feel like it gave me a better grasp on the book and helped me look even further into myself. I really enjoyed it and feel like it’s a great buy to go along with the book.

I enjoyed this more than the book. There were some good concepts here to think about and I’m a journal fan so this format worked better for me than the book.

Even though I agreed with some of it and not all of it that’s okay because it gave me the space to be quiet, pray, and reflect on important concepts. I appreciated that

This resource is fabulous! I love how it brought to life all that I read in Forgiving What You Can't Forget. It opened doors into the pain of situations I have had buried for years. It showed ways of looking at these situations to let them no longer have control over my life.

I have always wanted to journal, but then when I do it I get intimated. This was easy, answer questions and then elaborate. But was deep and insightful a wonderful balance that helped me circle back around after completing the study and book.

At first, I wasn’t going to do the journal to accompany the book. I’m so glad I did! It gave me opportunities and a space to work and deal with the things God was doing in me while reading this book. I would definitely recommend the journal if you are reading this book independently.

super good book but it was kinda repetitive with the activities and how she wanted you to think. overall it was a good activity book and got me thinking about Gods perspective and how he’d want me to forgive others.

Intense interaction with companion book to reflect on application. She has a neat way of diagramming scriptures esp those “hard to obey” ones. I appreciate her vulnerability and humility in writing this.
