Averie I hate this cage. It’s small and cold and it zaps me if I touch the bars. My captor is staring at me from the outside. He’s huge, red and so alien it makes my skin creep. Especially those snake-like scales he has. He looks at me with icy, penetrating eyes. Like I’m a specimen in a lab. There is definitely movement in his pants. I know why. Aliens really like to get Earth girls pregnant. I hate the cage. But I hate that alien freak even more. If he gives me just a tiny opening, I’ll try to kill him. I can be freaky, too.
Zaroc She’s tiny and round and irresistible. Her frightened scent makes me dizzy. I’m glad I caught her. I can put her to good use. My own species is almost extinct. I will bring it back, using this alien female. It will be a great pleasure. She’s mine now.
Alien Freak is the second book in the Alien Abductors series of science fiction romance novels. The books are complete stories, but should be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Expect steamy scenes, mysterious aliens with features like adult toys, deadly planets and the love story between a girl from Earth and a sensationally hot alien with hidden talents.
I love so many of this authors books but this one just wasn’t for me. The writing, world-building, story flow, all excellent as always. I’m just super picky with my romance I guess and l lost interest when the heroine starts musing about her previous experience sliming around with loser men. I don’t want to know about the bjs she’s given other dudes, it destroys the connection and bond of belonging to the hero. So, unfortunately I just stopped reading at that point.
It was between an okay read and I like it because of few redeeming qualities. I like the worldbuilding, and the places they ended up on (the plant planet, the space station, the Yoda alien planet etc). I like the romance was not rushed (as in they didn't bang immediately after one night together). I like the difference in alien anatomy they shown here (most alien romance author liked to play it safe with humanoid characters), so it's fresh to see not everyone is looking the same way.
I do however think that this book is boring as hell. Interesting stuffs happened but the characters were so dull for me. Especially the heroine. I didn't see how and why the hero felt anything for her other than the GOLDEN MYSTICAL HAPPENSTANCE of love-at-first-sight. So, yeah.
Now he was interesting, in all the best ways. This author has a fantastic imagination, and a great way of wording things to help you picture things just so. Really enjoying learning about the elders and finding out what's so special about earth and it's moon. Hope we get to learn more about the males on the triangle ship that was built by the elders, they sound rather delicious!
Averie is annoying and dumb AF and Zaroc has no personality. I literally don't know why they even like each other / are in love. Lastly, the smut was not great.
I'm sitting here, trying to figure out if I liked this one better than the first one.
The first one had a lot better secondary and support characters. The world-building and relationships of this one were better, however. There were a LOT more unanswered questions in this one: How did he manage to land on earth if it's occupied and he's wanted? Why didn't he take both girls, just in case something happened (or to have TWO income sources, or because he LIKED/WANTED the one?)? What's the point of the silver on his chest? What's special about the heroine that the elders like her? Why couldn't he have bit her after she was infected with a plant, knowing that SHE's immune, but the parasite wasn't and would die?
The writing was solid in both, and yes, the two books merged well together...
... but I have to be honest. I got distracted/unhappy/... bored?! about halfway through this. I can't even tell you why it felt tedious, only that it did. I felt as though there were too many places/stops/issues, and it was just overwhelming to the point where my mind was in shut-down and didn't want any more. It also felt like it suffered from a lack of sense of humor.
I don't know. Big red snakey alien abducts a human girl to sell (?!) to fund his fleeing from hunters who want to wipe out his species. But he falls in love with her, and with both the Earth oppressors and HIS oppressors hunting them, they... do a lot of stuff, meet a lot of fleeting creatures, don't bond with anyone, and come thru, but not with any rhyme or reason that hooks the reader.
It wasn't bad. I'm just saying that it wasn't good.
Zaroc saw Averie on campus as some girls were being snatched, harvested. Averie got pinged by her phone and was just laying on the ground. He ran up to her and stared at her then walked away. Later that night, after she had gone to bed, he walked into her dorm room. He wrapped her up with her blanket and just walked out with her. He went to his ship and dropped her in an electrified cage. She surprised him by finding a way out of that cage. As he walked around the corner, she clocked him one across the face with a bar. But he accidentally venomized her shoulder with his fangs. He grabbed her up and ran down the hall, screaming for his grandmother. He's wanting a cure from his venom but she says there is none. She says that Averie is going to die if she isn't already dead. No one has ever lived after being bitten. This is the first of many changes they go through to finally get to the truth of the matter. Oh, the twists and turns through space and being chased by not one but two enemies. But it has a happy ending and a spectacular ending it is. This is the second book in this series and just as good as the first. Of course, it is for adult readers. There is some unusual goin's on in them pages. But oh the fun!
The book blurb makes this book sound like a dark romance. It is not.
Hero plans to steal a human female to sell so he can have a financial cushion to escape the hunters who had hunted his species to extinction. He is the last one left.
But he can't sell the heroine. He is obsessed with her. Hero is a red alien with a forked tongue. He has venom (heroine doesn't die just gets high from his venom and loses her memory for a few hours). Hero's genitals also fork and can split into two or one.
Things all work out in the end.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
He tries to save her by leaving her with some warrior monks and leading away the hunters. But they figure it out and attack the monks. Heroine figures out how to use the Elder bracelet and turns the head hunter into a statue.
They ask the monks to marry them and they have a feast. Another human (from book 1) finds them and they agree to join the human resistance.
I Felt similar to the beginning of the first book. Was not excited about title of “freak” or the fact they abducted the females with the acceptance of being able to do with them whatever they wish. But the author slowly had me warming up to Z and his mate. What I wished she had done was trim down many parts that did not to be included. Too many meetings with the hunters (both types). Would have liked more getting to know you scenes. As well as more time on the moon. Lastly of them joining earth liberation movement. Frankly think they should eventually set up volunteer human mating system and maybe aliens to come to earth for donor hosts. Since females are low elsewhere. How about a new series where human males are wanted by females that can not breed successfully with other species.

(Everyone has to get their paws in the pie) Zaroc is running for his life. He is the last of his specis. On his last dollar he decides to take a human female and sell her on the black market. I living this series. Was hoping this book was going to be about Emma but her book is next. I recommend reading this in order. Alien Creep Alien Freak Alien Monster
Firstly, I love Ms. Skye’s stories. All of them. Full. Stop. This is the second book in a new series and I liked it even more than the first book which I LOVED! Zaroc’s past is a horror story of loss, heartbreak and a constant struggle to survive while Averie’s experience is shorter in length but traumatizing in its own way. I loved the grandmother and how Zaroc relies on her even as he learns to live on his own. The adventure, intrigue and mystical elements are strong themes and are fun in their own right. The romance between Zaroc and Averie Is complex and heartwarming and has those funny moments which I have come to expect in Ms. Skye’s stories. I happily and voluntarily reviewed this story.
This is a good little series that in the little preview blurbs sound dark and angst filled..... so not the case! It's actually pretty lighthearted and fun, especially given the fact that it has a conquered Earth, women sold unwillingly into slavery or breeding stock, and hunting bug like aliens, that hunt the hero's people, who isn't as ALPHA as they make it sound, into extinction, which I don't think makes sense because he's basically a giant snake guy whose got extremely poisonous venom, and yet, they are basically incapable of DEFENDING themselves! But aside from that, it's a well written, guilty free, low calorie read, that can fill the time and lift the mood between all of the hyper Alpha, dark and tormented stories!!
Reading this book, added more understanding to the first book of the series ‘alien creep’ and also the authors writing style. Main female character Averie is a Uni student forced to adapt to alien abductions of females that started 2years prior. Za’roc is an alien, last of his race, on the run from hunters. There meeting is not conventional however it could be fate. Zaroc and Averie gelled even if their personality’s sometimes clashed. The secondary characters has to be as interesting as the main characters and Zaroc Grandmother was the bestest -wise, sarcastic and funny. The story flowed with tense action scenes and humorous moments. I really got into the concept of the story which for me was a great read. Bought the next book in series alien monster
Averie is not your cookie-cutter like heroine. She jiggles! She has a mind! She is not as dumb as a box of rocks! She does attempt to escape her captor!
Averie puts up a good fight against her feelings for Zaroc, just as Zaroc feels conflicted by Averie. He is on the run and doesn't have time to woo females or let down his defences. I was sad learning of Zaroc’s past but his granny, that woman rocks the afterlife! Every boy needs his granny, even tall, reptilian, hunky ones.
Loved the Elder Moon storyline that is going through all the books, I'm enjoying meeting all these assorted aliens and the women who bring them to their knees with their awesomeness.
Ms Skye does the best job of any sci fi romance author I know of true Lt developing her characters over the course of the book into characters you really want to cheer and admire. AND she does this with keeping action high and angst at a minimum. Yeah. She does not emasculate her males or have women who are characterized by their victim hood. yeah. She doesn’t write the hottest sex scenes but they are sufficient given the strength of the rest of the book. This is the second in this new series and it is even stronger then the first one. I love how she is building an army of women to free the earth.
Surprisingly good read. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book because I think that there was a note to say that other books would help understand the story. This book was a nice read length and had plenty history throughout. Zaroc is a warrior needing something, but we don’t know exactly what it is. He needs money to survive so he captures the beautiful Averie. She wasn’t thrilled with life but she was attending college with friends. Once captured by Zaroc, Averie becomes a different woman and resource to Zaroc. Also Please Bring the Grandmother back, she made the book funny and interesting.
“..the fun fair is in town” What an extraordinary adventure! Zaroc is the last of his kind, running from impending doom. He’s a unique being, strong and formidable. Averie has a life on earth filled with the constraints of earth’s overlords. I love that Averie doesn’t wait around and bemoan her fate. She figures out a way free (well, part way). She’s very ingenious. We visit some fascinating worlds on this journey through space. Their adventures are highly entertaining, and their relationship grows in ever so pleasing ways. I love this book! The touches of humor make it even better.
I’ve read so many alien abduction books, all with the same basic storyline but this had some wonderfully unique elements. For one, there are so many different kinds of aliens mixed into the series focusing on their culture and why they came to enslave earth or help it. Second, the relationships were well developed and hard urned. Not just a wow I love, lets have sex. This is an excellent series, well rounded with action, drama, love, crazy alien naughty bits and an exciting emotional ride.
This is another alien abduction story in this series. It is about a rouge alien who abdicated a female from Earth to sell her for enough money to buy fuel for his space ship while he is on the run. This captive doesn't act how he expected and is way more enticing than he wanted. They are thrown together trying to save themselves from their enemies. It drags a bit and doesn't grab your interest or hold it for very long. Still it has a good plot and the characters are likable. Ok read.
This is the second in the series and I do recommend reading them in order, though it isn't strictly necessary. Averie is snatched by a red skinned freak alien and she is not happy. Zaroc comes to realize he likes Averie and is not sorry he took her. There is a ton of action, weird aliens, freak things happen, plenty of twists and turns. Oh, and a lot of steam. I loved this book and I highly recommend it!
I wasn't all that impressed by this book. This was much to my surprise, I've read several of Ms Skyes' books and have always enjoyed them. For some reason, I guess one was, I didn't much like the title after I got to reading the book. I felt it was kind of derogatory. Even though Averie claimed to love him, she still called him a freak. I guess I thought there could have been a better name.
Earth has been taken over by an alien race. They take the girls and sell them to other alien races. In this second installment, Averie is trying her best to live a normal life. After, one of the many abductions, a red alien appears in search of something. That same night, he kidnaps Averie. Zaroc is the red alien who is being hunted for several years. In space is where the adventure begins.
This was such a fun read. Although Zaroc abducted Averie initially, they eventually came to love each other but so much happens in between. There's lots of action, sexy times and fighting for their lives. Add in the Star Marshals, the Elders and some warrior monks making this a fun alien romance well worth reading. The ending was terrific as they both decide committing to the resistance movement for freeing Earth from the Bululgs is important.
Earth has been invaded by aliens who keep selling women in space. Heroine is abducted by another strange alien than the ones they are used to, a poacher. He really wants to breed her but puts it off because she doesn’t seem super excited about the idea. Then they spend more time together and save each other from enemies a couple times. It’s like love or something!
Fun read. Interesting characters. Unique plot. Low to medium steam on erotica.
This series has so many different types of aliens featured. However, all the women are some level of “rounded female” that all alien males desire. There is an AFAM Woman but she is in book 5. To get it you need a link from the author that is at the end of the of book 4. I’ve read through book eight and there is hopefully at least one or two more books until the end of the series.
This has got to be the most hilarious alien romance series being offered right now. I absolutely loved it. The world building is great, the different species of alien are creepy and interesting and the characters are so engaging. I’m looking forward to reading more of these alien abductions.
So this is a new author for me. But I have to say I am super impressed with the story. The characters are well thought out lots of action And a fun ride to read. Would highly suggest the series definitely will be reading more by this author and looking forward to the next installment in fall 2020.
Averie and Zaroc are perfect in their imperfection. I loved them from the beginning. He was a marauder and kidnapper and Averie was his victim. And yet as usual he falls in love with her and she falls in love with him. They join the resistance league to the invaders of earth and it's another great story.
I have to say that I liked the second book much better than they first book and I already liked the first book a lot! I hope the trend co times and the third book is even better. I just really liked Zaroc. I mean he was a complete idiot to try and actually succeed in dumping Averie off on the monk planet and I think she forgave him way to fast but I also get it.
Love this book. Its a complete story. The characters are unique & charismatic. The love story is sweet, romantic & steamy. The storyline is so interesting & action packed. I had a hard time putting the book down. In fact I fell asleep & dropped my reader on my face. 😂😂😂
