I’m stuck between the Alpha and his brother, not able to choose. Maybe I don’t have to.

Watching my friend Wendi with her mates has been bittersweet. She deserves happiness, and I want her to have all the best in her life, but I’ve sat in limbo, wanting Samson from afar for years. He wants me but he says his priority is his pack. He doesn’t have time for a mate.

Until his twin brother Tris came back to town and started, well, for lack of a better term, started sniffing around me.

They both flirt. They both aggravate the fire out of me.
I want them both.

The thing is, the brothers aren’t technically on speaking terms. Worse than that, Samson banished Tris years ago for something nobody will explain to me. If he learns Tris is back, will he send him away again?

Not the best circumstances to broach the harem idea on them.

I’m torn and honestly, I don’t want to choose.

We have the story of Christie. Who she is and what she feels. We meet her mates who give her mixed emotions. We have some suspense that will keep you reading, but wait some of it will have to wait until the next book. What is Christie going to do? Who is this new friend of hers? Can they figure things out or will they keep hurting each other? What happen in the past should be over, but will it ever be?

This is a great read! Well written it’s a why choose werewolf romance with a slow burn buildup sure to make your toes curl. With an exciting and gripping storyline and some great characters I will definitely be checking out the previous books!

Slightly different than her previous series, but just as good!

Compared to the first Shifters of Consequences books (with Wendi and her mates), where everything pretty much went great with them from the beginning, this series is a bit different. I LOVE that the characters from the previous ones are still in this book, and that things carried over so well into this one.

Christie has two mates, brothers, but something makes them appear to hate each other, making it very difficult to be with either of them. Especially since they don't seem to be making any moves on her. It's enough to drive her crazy! She eventually finds out what it is, but will any of them be able to get over it and work it out?

I'm going to self title myself as the "Inconsistent Police". The previous series, while having a GREAT storyline (I recommend you read it first if you haven't yet), there were so many inconsistencies! I chose to ignore them, since I liked the story and characters enough to do so. It didn't take me very long to find some here again... and within the first 11 pages. First: At the very beginning, it's said that Alpha Samson was born 5 minutes before Tris. By page 11, it's said that Tris is the eldest. Thankfully a minor thing, I'm certain it won't effect anything in the story. It hasn't yet, and they're identical twins, so, whatever.

Secondly, and a slightly bigger one: In the previous series, Brandon - one of Wendi's mates, introduces her to his parents. Brandon is the younger brother of Tris and Samson. In this series, it's said that their father is dead. It COULD be that they have a different father, but it also says in this book that harems weren't a thing for a long time in their pack previously (though there is one family with two men and a woman with children mentioned in this book), and also that mates who've lost their other mate rarely end up joining another mating or go with someone else. It's also not mentioned that there was any death or other fathers. Sooo, I'm going to assume it's yet another inconsistency.

I'm sure I'm just a bit nit picky, but I used to be an editor, I read a lot of books, and tend to have a good memory about these things! If it wasn't such a great series with fantastic, relatable characters and a wonderful storyline, I'd be giving these books much worse reviews. However, this author has great talent and just needs to work on her recollection and stuff better, maybe writing things down like characters, their pasts, etc, to keep better track of things. :) None of this will discourage me from suggesting you from reading these!

Torn is book 6 in the Shifter of Consequence series. It is book 2 of Christie's story. Not only does the drama build, but so do the mystery and heat. Twins Samson and Tris both know that Christie is their fated mate. Those two hotties have quite a bit of healing to do as brothers if their relationship with Christie is to be. They both want her, but that is just not enough. Difficult choices have to be made as they all rise up against yet another attack against the Pack.

Like the other Shifter of Consequence stories, Torn is a page-turner. The storyline continues to be compelling and believable. The characters are engaging, seem like people you might know. Christie and Wendy are strong women who are fiercely loyal to their Pack, their men, and each other. They are not afraid to stand for what's right, even when it leaves them most vulnerable.

Tris is a true warrior, yet has a kindness about him that is endearing. He returns to his pack lands but is not welcomed by his twin brother. As we find out why one can't help think about how our parents' influence can impact our entire lives. It can build us up or tear us apart.

Samson is the Pack's alpha and a natural in that role. He has a quiet strength and compassion that draws you to him and compels loyalty. He works hard for his Pack and does not want to fail them. Samson and his twin brother Tris have a past not of their own making to overcome. To find happiness with Christie, they must, but both are stubborn. If they do not find their way through, they will lose her and more.

Tethered is the next book in this series. It is set up in the epilog and is already established itself as a page-turner.

It's good to be back among the Shifter of Consequence world. We left off with Wendi and her four mates married and with her best friend Christie agonizing over the men in her life driving her nuts. Her wolf knows Tris and his brother, Samson are her mates but with the twin brothers not speaking to each other, things are tense. Throw in a couple of kidnappings and other events, it is obvious another storyline is taking off with Christie and Wendi in the middle of it. Somehow their families are intertwined but the background of that and how that affects the threat going on around them won't be revealed until a later installment of this story. Yes, the story is a serial and we have to wait for the next one to get a further glimpse into what is happening. Although that is frustrating, the story has me at the edge of my seat and focused from the first to the last page.

This book 5 in the Shifters of Consequence Series is a very well written story in the series with characters that are strong, have depth and evolve as the series evolve. This is not a stand-alone story. I cannot wait for more in this series. This story has action, adventure, twists/turns, and a romance that has more than 2 lovers. Torn is the 5th book in a paranormal reverse harem shifter series featuring members of the Midnight Alder Pack. This is the first volume of Christie’s story. It is a why choose werewolf romance with a slow burn buildup sure to make your toes curl. Relationships develop over the course of this supernatural series.

In this book we get to learn more about Christie after meeting her in the past books about her best friend.
We see Christie go through many emotional twists due to her two mates one the Alpha Samson and the other his twin brother Tris, who dont talk to each other due to past occurrences.
With them fighting Christie is at a loss of what to do when she happens to have an accident. Will this bring the brothers together or totally break Christie. You will need to pick up this book and find out.
It does have plenty of action to keep you on your toes too with and ending that leaves you with many questions. But also a great ending to keep you hooked in more.

This is book 5 in A Shifter of Consequence Tale and this is Christie’s story she is Wendi’s friend who was in the earlier series. Christie knows that the twins Tris and Sampson are her mates but Sampson is too worried about his pack to take a mate until Tris comes back and Sampson isn’t happy because he banished Tris from the pack years ago and that makes it even harder for Christie trying to find out what happened between the brothers. There is so much more going on in this story but that’s all I’m going to give, fantastic story and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

You can't help but feel for poor Christy as she tries to get her 2 mates to learn to get along after all the years they've been estranged. Sampson as the Alpha swore when he took over the pack that he wouldn't lift his brother's banishment for joining the military. When Christy breaks her leg and can't get it to heal at shifter speed, they both take it upon themselves to care for her.

I didn't connect so much with the characters in this story as I have with other stories by Mazzy. I'm hoping that book 2 will be better.

Torn - A Shifter of Consequence Tale by Mazzy J. March is a fantastic reverse harem that I have had the privilege to read and review. This is book number five in this fantastic series and I can not wait to read the rest. This series just seems to keep getting better and better as the story goes I love it. I highly recommend this fantastic story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem, wolf shifters, romantic suspense and paranormal romance.

Christie has a dilemma! She loves two men, both her mates. She cannot choose between the twins, Sampson and Tris, but the two of them hate each other and she can only choose one. They were driven apart years ago and neither will let go and make amends. She wants both of them. But there seems no way that she can even approach them with such an idea. What will this mean for them? Will she have to give them both up? Is there no other way?

Men! Will they ever learn! Trying to live up to the expectations of someone who has passed away. Not only have they passed away, but the pitted brothers against each other. Christie is stuck in the middle. I'm not saying she should run away, but maybe being away from both of them for a while would make them see how their ways are truly affecting here, because they are only thinking about themselves.

Christie is still having trouble with her 2 mates, twins Tris & Samson. Each book is beginning to feel like the books should be a part of Vella. Not much happens, just enough to keep the reader interested in buying another book in the series. The latest point is, what is the connection between her family and Wendi's ?

Very enjoyable Great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I hope everything will work out for Wendi and she finds out the truth and hopefully Samson will come around or he will lose her.

Torn

I'm really enjoying learning more in depth information about Christie and what's going on with the twins. Not to mention I can't wait to find out more about her connection to Wendi. I have a suspicion of what it might be but I do love the anticipation.

Wonderful

Wow!! So much is happening now. The Alpha and his twin are talking but barely. Christie is ready to pull her hair out. And someone keeps kidnapping young women and no one knows why. Great story telling and a wonderful cast of characters.

Loved seeing the old cast again! And I’m intrigued to learn more about Christie. Just seemed like not much happened in this book. Still good anyway.
