This is the first book of Anne’s that I have read. This enjoyed her style of writing. It was very easy to follow and understand. It kept my interest and was a really good explanation of Gods creation.
This book, which works through the first 12 chapters of the Book of Genesis, is wonderfully insightful and easy to read. Lotz does an excellent job analyzing the Old Testament, unpacking what can sometimes seem dense and heavy material. Through careful analysis of the Scripture, Lotz highlights the brilliance of God's plan - showing very clearly how His love for us is as strong today as it was at the beginning of Creation. It is uplifting to consider how, even at the Fall of Adam and Eve, God had a plan to save us from our sin. As Lotz describes it, the Lord worked to purchase us from the "old Serpent's" grasp; through the birth, sacrifice, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, which links to the very beginning of Creation, He has created a way for us to reconnect with Him, and that is an incredibly beautiful Truth.
The Glorious Dawn of God's Story, by Anne Graham Lotz. A gift book, with devotionals on the first half or so of Genesis. I had to take exception to a couple of comments on heavy metal music, although I assume Lotz is unfamiliar with the variety of music in that pigeonhole today. Many other sections revealed things I was ignorant of, though.
