What’s the first rule of following your dreams? Not letting your sworn enemy get in the way. No matter how gorgeous he is…
Getting a summer job at Legacy Inn is a dream come true. As soon as I graduate next year, it’s goodbye shy introvert who spends her life behind her camera -- and hello Kiara Garcia, world-class photographer. Nobody is going to get in my way.
Especially not Jonathan Wright. All-star athlete, insanely good-looking, wildly popular… and my nemesis.
The problem? We’ve been forced to work together this summer… which means the person I hate most is the only thing standing between me and my dreams.
But, if we’re supposed to hate each other, why can’t I stop thinking about his lips on mine?

3.75 rounded up⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wanted a refreshing and clean series, and I definitely found the perfect one! I truly loved the Legacy Inn series. Every book was so cute! The series was just so predictable. It kind of drove me crazy lol. However, definitely a great series and 100% would recommend to anyone! This series did NOT disappoint, and Sara Jane Woodley is definitely a new favorite author!
3 ⭐️ I didn’t really connect with anyone in this story at all. But I enjoyed reading it when I did. Overall it’s a good series, but I won’t be thinking about it again. I could never put a face to Johnathan , the main guy character, because I know other people named Johnathan and for some reason I just couldn’t picture this guy. No spice. Thess books are more easy to read then a deep, heartbreaking romance book 😂
Apparently I have been reading a different book than everyone else because I do not understand the hype around this book at all. For me it was incredibly disappointing.
This was an enemies to lovers that takes place at a photography competition of sorts. Kiara and Jonathan have been enemies in school so they are less than happy when they run into each other at this place they are taking photographs but they have to work together and you can guess the rest.
The romance fell flat for me which is not great because that is pretty much the sole focus of the story and the rest of the side plots cannot hold up the book. Kiara annoyed me a ton and Jonathan was only slightly more interesting to follow. The whole hating each other thing felt ridiculously childish to me (and yes I do know they are in highschool) to an excessive level. And then when they suddenly weren't enemies it felt a little sudden but then they were saying they were in love with each other WAY to quickly for my liking.
And don't even get me started on their big fight right at the end. Kiara saw Jonathan dancing with his ex-girlfriend at this party and threw a huge fit and ran off. She started going off about how she "made a mistake" and she "never should have trusted him" etc. Which if he had been doing something like hugging, kissing, or something more personal I would have completely understood. But even then I would have liked for her to maybe just ask him what the heck was going on. Shouldn't she give him the benefit of the doubt? A lot of romance stories have this kind of frustrating lack of communication but this one just didn't make any sense. He wasn't kissing his ex-girlfriend, he dancing in a very public place and Kiara had a right to be bothered but if she had just asked him what was going on it could have been solved quicker.
If his ex-girlfriend had planted one on him just as Kiara walked by and she didn't see him pushing her away than maybe Kiara's reaction would have made sense but by the fact that she didn't even ask him what was going on?
But I digress.
This book was supposed to be a relaxing contemporary romance that I read to clear my brain but instead I got a large dose of annoyance. If you liked this book I'm glad that it worked for you but this just frustrated me.

The story follows Jonathan and Kiara. Kiara is an ambitious photographer, while Jonathon is the MVP of soccer in town. They both hate each other. When they end up forced together at an internship at a local inn, they realize that they don’t have to be this way. Will they be able to admit it to each other and come out unharmed?
This book was amazing! It is the perfect YA book for anyone. I have read so many teen romance novels, and half of them end up disappointing me. I loved the chemistry the characters had, the problems they faced together, and their witty banter. I felt as if I were with them for their up and downs and their successes and failures. I loved how I was able to imagine the beautiful sceneries that they were seeing. I loved the emotion and innocence in the novel. It is immaculate. It has no scenes, no words, and is perfect as a whole. I enjoyed this book!
If you liked this book, I would recommend Sarah Dessen, Sarah Mlynowski, and Kasie West.

After finding myself in a weeks’ long reading slump where I didn’t want to read anything at all, I started craving something romantic and lighthearted, preferably a contemporary romance, and this story was that exactly.
It started out a little slow, but when it picked up, I didn’t want to stop reading and ended up finishing it in a day. The wannabe photographer in me enjoyed reading a story all about photographers and cameras. I loved Kiara and Jonathan. Separately, they were interesting characters with layered and compelling stories and personalities. Together, they were sweet and romantic, perfect for each other and perfectly relating to and complimenting each other. The fun moments made me smile and the serious ones left me on the edge of my seat. Overall, it was a cute, enjoyable, and quick read, and just what I needed to get me back into wanting to read again!.
Since this book is the fourth in the Legacy Inn series, and the first and only one I’ve read, I plan to start the series over from the beginning, read it in order, and give this one a re-read once I come to it again.
This was a really lovely story between two teenagers. They both struggle to find their way in life and in love. Kiara and Jonathan both apply for a job as photographer in the Legacy Inn. They have to work together and get to know each other, what drives them, what motivates them, what makes them insecure... Along the way, they fall for each other, they are so cute together but there’s also a bit of drama. A really nice read!

This is my first time reading something by this author. What a cute and romantic story! This was an entertaining and enjoyable read. A fun and unique story and full of great moments, this book will pull you right in and keep you engaged and smiling all the way through. The author does a great job of bringing the story to life with great characters that are lovable and endearing. Loved this story and I definitely recommend it!

The Legacy series is amazing. I read a lot of serials but I've never encountered 4 books which occur concurrently. Yet the author fives nothing away in each about the other leaving each fresh and inviting. Ms. Woodley taps into the fears, insecurities, and inherent ability we have to misunderstand each other in any personal relationship. As I approach the climax of her books, I find my heart racing, hands tingling, and eyes watering. And it feels good. I enjoy all of her works and highly recommend them.
The grammatical errors drove me nuts! Otherwise, the author tells good, fun and carefree stories. She deserves a copy editor who can do better, way better. Just because young people are not taught proper English well doesn't mean some of us want to read poor grammar. Example: "between him and I" is totally cringe, much like listening to a Kardashian murder the English language.
noah and Bree use to best of friends until they weren't . While on summer vacation 3 years instead of going to Portugal ,bree end up in the mountains where she met noah and struck up a friendship Edendale high resident heart throb, things went bad and now they both have an opportunity to make things right . This was a very interesting read and I enjoyed
The first book in Legacy Inn series a YA Sweet Romance a well written story. I enjoyed seeing enemies Kiara and Jonathan as they both work as photographers at Legacy Inn realize they are not enemies after all. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Enemies to lovers high school romance, pretty decent, I liked the banter between the characters and how you could see both of their perspectives throughout the book. I liked the depth in the characters and how their relationship grew. Not much else to say.
This book was really cute and definitely stressed the importance of believing in yourself and really living in the moment. It wasn't my favorite one in this series but I'm glad I got to hear Jonathan and Kiara's story. I love the summer in the mountains vibe of this book.
Cute and sweet. A bit redundant at times. The conflict in the end rubbed me wrong even if they resolved it. Mostly because high school days and cheating (no Jonathan didn’t cheat). I edited the banter and her nickname.
Content: missing and swimming, difficult parents, lying, arguing
This book was ok, it was well written but I didn’t really care for the story. I didn’t really like Kiara through the book, I will try another book from this author.
I enjoyed it. It’s an easy read but also Clean! great for anyone who just doesn’t like closed door reads. It’s an age appropriate book for Teens and Pre-teens alike.
This series is a heartwarming, feel-good kind of set of stories. All four books take place during the same period of time, and they can all be stand alone as well. The only thing you might miss out on by not reading them all is experiencing the different love stories of each of the characters! I would recommend reading them all as I definitely enjoyed them each just as much! I can’t think of a more summer feeling series of books☀️

This was my first read from this author and its a story about Kiara and Jonathan. I absolutely loved the dual first person point of view, which always makes or breaks the story for me. As far as character development goes, I'd say Kiara and Jonathan were fairly developed and likable. Not to mention that I found Kiara talking to her cat about what she should wear and pack from her clothes, really adorable and sweet. I will read more books from this author in the future.
