Infernal Sons MC #4

Trigger's Light

Rate this book
Thea Life used to be simple. It was predictable. I would wake up, eat breakfast, and get ready for work. I would spend my days organizing books and hanging out with my boss. Yeah, it got boring. And lonely. But it was safe. Then everything hit me at once. Blow after blow after blow. Now, I'm thrust into this world of bad boy bikers, and I'm in over my head. Someone is trying to kill me, and I've put my life in the hands of a man who won't stop glaring at me. But, I feel a connection with him from the very moment we meet. Even though he keeps insulting me. Trigger Why is it so hard for people to leave me alone? I keep to myself. That's the way I like it. That's the way I expect to live my life. In my own darkness. Then I'm bombarded by a woman who radiates warmth and light. A woman I want to stay far away from. So, I do what I do best, and I let my personality shine. Her eyes darken from my hurtful words, but I get my point across. However, she's being stalked. She's prey to some predator who thinks he can hurt what's mine. She may not be mine, in reality. I never want her to experience the vast amount of darkness that is me, but she's mine nonetheless. Even if it is from a distance. But, that distance isn't enough to protect her. That distance was a mistake. One I don't plan to make again. ***WARNING*** Intended for readers 18 and older. This book is highly radioactive due to the amount of “F-Bombs” these guys drop. Inside you will find violence, abuse and an adult situation or two. So, slip on that hazmat suit and proceed with caution. ***HEALTH WARNING*** This book is packed full of alpha male deliciousness, insta-something and enough over-sweetened romance that cavities are a real possibility. Keep your dentist on speed dial.

✨Got an arc copy for review✨

This is the 4th book in the infernal sons mc series and this is triggers story (who is my personal favorite).

This book was so good omg i loved seeing all the other characters and seeing all of there cute interactions. I also really loved Thea’s love for books and the fact that she works in a bookstore. I won’t say much to spoil anyone but just know that this series is amazing and it holds a special place in my heart.
Also I’m so excited for the next book which will be about Brick.

I really enjoy Carol Dawn's Infernal Sons series, her couples are divers. The first two couples were m/f, the third couple was m/m (with a feminised gay man), and here we have another m/f with a Daddy/Little relationship.

I liked the story and the MC, however I'm not big on Daddy/Little play so it ruined a bit of the romance for me, but that aside Trigger and Thea made a cute couple. Trigger was great, and I was happy to get most insight in his past and who he is. Thea was really sweet and very childlike at times, but she also had some back bone (not much, but some). The secondary characters were all there and as awesome as ever. I have to say when it comes to the characters in the series Slim is my favorite.

I'm can't wait for Brick's book. I hope we get another broken/traumatized heroine. I'm a sucker for those.

Just one thing, I really hope that the author doesn't introduce a Dom/Sub in the series because that's really not my thing and it would definitely make me skip the book.

This is book 4 of the Infernal Sons its not necessary to have read the previous books but they are great books so I recommend you read those as well.

What to say about this book! Its so hard to come up with something besides its just so good without spoilers!

Trigger is the SoA for the Infernal Sons he is all about the club. They are his family they are a crazy nuts and drive him batty with their need to talk but they are his family. Thea is a sweet shy bookstore employee who is a new friend to one of the clubs old ladies. When Thea's new friend finds her upset and in trouble she brings her to the club.

Trigger finds himself immediately drawn to Thea which being Trigger is not something he likes. But Thea is a women who radiates a sweet warm personality and she's in trouble, that's like biker kryptonite so we know Trigger is sunk. The story to Trigger and Theas happily ever after has action drama and steaminess. We get to catch up with the rest of Infernal Sons and their old ladies as well as Ma!

I'm already excited to read about what's next for the Infernal Sons and it seems like Bricks book might be next!

I very much enjoyed this one. VERY MUCH.
Trigger has been a an Infernal Sons MC brother since the current Prez, Bear, saved Trigger's life years ago. The Infernal Sons have been the most important part of his life & his only family since he was patched in. And he's more than happy to keep it that way. And he most certainly does NOT want or need a woman in his life. But things just might change once the sexually dominant, large, muscular, hot man sees HER . . . .
Thea. Survivor of the foster system. Chubby. Insecure. Very Shy. Naturally submissive. And suddenly the target of a viciously threatening stalker. And she is taken to the Infernal Sons MC clubhouse by her new friend Bella to have the brothers help the terrified woman. And while ALL the brothers scare Thea with their size & seeming ferocity, one in particular catches her attention & brings Thea surprising feelings of desire she long ago submerged . . . .
But Trigger is DARK. Has done DARK things. And he sees how LIGHT & good Thea is. Too light & good for a man like him. But her sweet innocence & natural submission & lush curves call to every part of him & he wants, NEEDS, to protect her. Save her. Claim her. But should he? And if he does, does she want him?
The romance in this one is very fast but IMO believable. I loved Trigger & Thea, I loved how the brothers viewed themselves as one huge TIGHT family that ALWAYS has the other's backs for any & all reasons. I loved how very gentle yet firm Trigger was with Thea, how he helped her see not only her self-worth & intelligence but her beauty. I loved how protective of, & devoted to, Trigger was of Thea. And I loved how Thea loved her dark, troubled but gentle Trigger.
While this is an excellent, heartwarming, deeply emotional story, the writing had a few spots IMO where it seemed oddly rushed &/or awkward. Nothing that detracted from the story but did cause my reading flow to stumble a tiny bit a few times. But other than that, the writing is very good & easily draws the reader into the story, makes you deeply CARE about the characters, intrigued by the plot, invested in the entire story from beginning to end. And Trigger & Thea's story made me smile, gave me goosebumps & delicious shivers of the best kind (I want my OWN Trigger!!).
This is a very sweet & satisfying romance that has dark scenes that are appropriate for the plot & remind the reader that Trigger IS a DARK man who does DARK things without reservation. And Trigger protects those he cares for & loves by any means necessary.
So, if you want a wonderful romance with touches of dark, with suspense, betrayal & some steam, look no further.

This was exactly what I was hoping Trigger's book would be like, full of feels! Trigger doesn't want to be close to anyone. He cares about his MC family and will help them anytime but that is as far as it goes. He doesn't want to talk or joke, he keeps everything close to the vest. Then he meets Thea and everything he thought he knew is obliterated. Thea is in a bad spot and being surrounded by all these huge, alpha men really aggravates her insecurities. But she needs help and the MC might be the only people who can help. When the hottest biker in the room frowns at her, it just about breaks her heart. She knows she doesn't have a chance with a guy like him but it hurts all the same. My heart hurts for her so much, I have been in her shoes and it isn't fun. She tries to bury it, tries to hide it. It isn't long before Trigger realizes how special Thea is. Will she let him in after the way he dismissed her? There is more to their tale but you will just have to read it for yourself. I flew through their story even if I wanted to stretch it out longer. I loved this couple, loved their dynamic and I just flat out wanted more pages, more time with them. All the love for Thea and Trigger!

Carol Dawn keeps giving us great stories. This series is one of the best I’ve read. Reading Trigger’s story gives you the feeling like you’re a part of the Son’s family. Trigger is the rough, quiet and deadly Sgt. of Arms. He will F*ck you up and make you disappear if you hurt the innocence, or his family. But with Thea, his shy bookworm/Little, he’s a big sweet heart Daddy. When evil threatens Thea’s life, Trigger out for blood, and when he captures the threat he shows no mercy.

Ms. Dawn’s Infernal Son’s MC men will melt your heart and wet your panties. Her story touches your heart and speaks to your soul.

My favorite line, “ you have my heart, little one, “he says roughly. “you own me, heart, and soul. I love you so f*cking much.” You gotten love a man who knows how to drop the F bomb. This was an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I recommend all Ms. Dawn’s books in this series.

This was a great addition to the Infernal Sons series.
Carol Dawn did a great job on Trigger's Light, the plot and characters were strong, the story was written well. The story was packed with many emotions.
Trigger and Thea's journey was a bit bumpy but it was nothing they couldn't handle, they made a strong pair, they were good for each other, their connection and chemistry was strong, it was sexy. They were great together.
This was a great story, I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.
I'd suggest reading this story and the rest of the series.
Thank you, Carol Dawn. Great work :)

Trigger absolutely floored me, never saw it coming. The was a shock as well. Never heard of Daddy/Little before. Carol Dawn has continued to blow my mind. This book was so feisty and hot as hell. The infernal sins just keep the sexy coming. Trigger was not what I saw in my mind. He is so caring and tender hearted. I was expecting hard cold and strong alpha. But trigger has so much love, and he is sensitive. Never saw it coming, blew me right out of my chair. I am googling Daddy/ Little. Thank you Carol for writing Trigger as you did. He is a very complex alpha. Dirty, Fiesty Daddy.....hot hot.

Trigger's Light is book 4 in Carol Dawn's Infernal Sons MC series. I have been waiting for Trigger's book and it did not disappoint. I loved the direction that she went with Trig. He is your typical brooding silent biker with a few dark secrets in his past. Trig's life is an emotional rollercoaster. When he meets Thea his protective instincts kick in. You will get MC drama and more secrets. The book has insta love, no cheating, Daddy/Little play and a HEA. Carol Dawn knows how to pull you in with her story telling. Each book gets better and better!

What a surprise this story was. Trigger is the non talking member of the MC. Thea is a shy, curvy, and works at a bookstore. In this book we learn what makes Trigger Trigger. Thea immediately likes Trigger but Trigger puts her off by being abrupt and rude. This story was nothing I imagined it would be but damn was it a great surprise. I highly recommend this story. The story will shock you just when you think you know something in this story it throws you for a loop. I enjoyed it immensely.

This 4th book in the Infernal Sons MC was, just as I expected, an amazing read!! Trigger was such a great surprise! This silent man sure has a lot to say when he finds his woman!!! This book was emotional, romantic and totally hot!! I felt such joy while reading this book and was sad when it ended. Great characters and a stellar story line are what you get when you read any of Carol Dawn’s books! This is another must read!

This was the fourth book in the series and was another really enjoyable read I had read and enjoyed the previous books in this series and could not wait to dive into this one and it did not disappoint I really enjoyed getting to know Trigger more and thought that he and Thea were a good fit for each other and while I don't tend to read to many DD books it did work for these two. I cannot wait for the next one.

Triggers Light is the fourth book in the Infernal Sons series. I have read all the books and loved everyone one of them.

I loved seeing all my favorites (hello Chains) from the previous books

I love Thea. How can one not love a girl that absolutely loves her books? Right away I knew it would be good.

I wavered on the villain for a while and when the person was revealed, I was like Well darn. It was somebody I wrote off

This is the 4th book in the series and the authors confidence in her craft is starting to shine through.

I gave this book a 4* review because I wasn't keen on the daddy/little relationship. It didn't put me off, but made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I can however see that the author treated this with respect, and made the book available to all, should someone with triggers choose to browse the book.

Well done on another well crafted read.

Wow another perfect book in this amazing series. This book has the perfect characters. I always think the couples in this series are my favorite but now Trigger and Thea are for sure. Trigger is our silent hero with an amazing backstory and Thea is such a relatable female. I actually felt like the author climbed in my head and wrote some of Thea from me. Absolutely to die for. I want more.

Having read all Infernal Sons books this was the one I was eagerly anticipating and Carol didn’t disappoint! Meeting Trigger earlier in the series, you learn he’s a man of few words but when he finds “the one”, that all changes. His and Thea’s chemistry is perfect - the Daddy/Little Girl dynamic was not something I usually read but it suited them perfectly.

Ok where to start, first I really liked this book. I have read the 3 previous books a d this felt like I was reconnecting with good friends The author pared an unlikely couple who fit perfectly with each other. You could read this book as a standalone but you will enjoy it more if you start with book one. This was a book I got lost in even with things going on around me.

Going in the wrong direction.

Series started off good but as it progressed each book is less enjoyable than the last, especially this one. Skimmed to the finish and doubt I’ll read the next in the series.

A Great Story Marred by Stunted Prose and Odd Twists...

"Trigger's Light" by Carol Dawn is the fourth installment, and third full-length book in her, Infernal Sons MC series. This one focuses on Mason and Thea. Mason "Trigger" Granger, being the violently serious Sergeant at Arms. A man whose brooding and silent ways make him a much feared individual both among his MC brothers and beyond. And Thea, a young, naive, but well intentioned and loving book shop manager. A woman unknowingly in grave danger of a vile and horrific nature that only the brothers can help her survive.

It is a storyline of epic proportions, but I have to start off by saying, I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this one. On one side, this is the boldest most daring book by Dawn yet. Trigger's story is sadistically violent and bloody. His love for his "craft" addicting while simultaneously horrifying. And Thea, unlike her female protagonist predecessors, is subjected to a level of violence not before seen in any of the previous installments of this series. So, first off, if you are in any way squeamish or easily offended, this tale is not for you. However, if you can embrace the viscious theme overall, you will be rewarded with a female lead full of enough strength and grit to lead an army, and an alpha male so devoted to his woman he is willing to set the world on fire to make her safe.

However, on the other side of this brave and bold book you have an odd and out of place lifestyle twist. A twist, that while intriguing and suitable for the characters at hand, is so superficially placed within the lexicon of the story arc it ends up being more of a distraction than a sexy addition. Which in turn brings me to the larger issue I had with this installment. The writing is very stunted in places, with scenes and circumstances that shift unexpectedly or without a clear, linear path. As a result some plot points fall flat, while others (like the before mentioned sexy twist) fall outside the overarching context of the baser story and feel like they were crammed in just because, rather than being a fully fleshed out, integral part of the story overall.

In the end this book, as with Hawk's, felt a bit rushed and not fully formed. I would have loved to have seen some of dynamics between Trigger and Thea developed more fully to something better matching the emotional complexity of the rest of the book.

This series has such a wonder story world, one that has the potential to be off the charts epic, however it is still rough around the edges and inconsistent. And while this installment showed a huge improvement in character development and story complexity than the third book. It still falls short of the heartfelt her straightforward care and attention afforded to Bear and Rose.

Overall this is a good story, with some really interesting twists and turns. Twists, that if developed a bit better would turn this from a compelling but just ok read, to an all consuming, unputdownable great one!

Trigger and Thea

Wow. I don't know where to begin with this story, but here goes. Trigger never speaks unless he feels it's necessary and can be quite the grouch as he was when he first met Thea at the clubhouse via Rose being her friend and enjoyed spending time with her at the book store, and because of a stalker sending a letter to Thea. Trigger took her home but didn't find any cameras so he left her house, but he stayed close by all night, then Thea gets attacked and the fool cut her face with a knife and she got herself home, and that's where Trigger found her on her kitchen floor passed out and doctored her up. He then proceeded to find this butthead and beat him to death, but Thea's problems were bigger than anyone thought at the time, because she also wanted custody of her newborn nephew. She and the club went to court and that's when the father Marco admitted that he had been abusing Thea's sister and he was allowed supervised visits, but Thea was awarded one year of temporary custody. It was soon realized that Marco was the VP of another club called the Death Mongrels and he eventually lured Thea to an abandoned barn because he had stolen the baby and was selling him. Thea was shot in the chest and the baby was rescued. Trigger also suffered and blamed himself for years of his sister being killed from the abuse of her husband, and also when he was ten years old he invited his best friend for a weekend stay and was actually shocked that his dad allowed it, but he realized why when he saw his dad raping and beating his friend and called the cops, but sadly Bryson suffered from the abuse and his body grew but his mind is still that of a ten year old, but Trigger visits him and he also took Thea to meet him also. Poor Bryson suffers from seizures but seems like a happy fellow. Happy reading

I was looking forward to Trigger the most out of all the men in the MC and had really high hopes, but I ended up having a few issues with the storyline. 1- With how little he broody he is and how little he talks because of his darkness I thought it would be a really deep story there. Not gonna lie in my personal opinion it kind of fell flat, it just didn't add up to how he acted... and then to have a full 180 the second he lays eyes on Thea? It just wasn't believable for me... 2- A lot like the other books in the series there is the potential within each book but there just needs to be more. More character and plot development to make it a well rounded book. I would rather wait longer in between each book to have something a little more complete book that isn't feeling rushed. 3- The daddy dom/little aspect-- I have never read anything with this kind of relationship and was excited about it, but it was brushed over very lightly and was more distracting than anything else. I know it wasn't a last minute choice, so bring it more in to the story. I loved that it was something you don't normally see so don't just put your toes in the water, jump in with both feet and have that aspect in it. Maybe I was in a funk while reading this but it had such great potential with the bones of something great, but it just wasn't completely working for me.

Didn’t like the way that Trigger treat Thea. Really really hate the way that the author keeps writing about Thea being ‘fat’.

I really really hate it when authors write about the women being ‘fat,’ and so they’re ugly. The authors words not mine! According to the author people look at her and think how fat she is! Give me a break! I found it really disappointing. When Thea first meets Trigger he glared at her and she thinks he’s repulsed because of her size. 😡😡

Thea lives a lonely life, she’s never had a boyfriend, doesn’t have any friends, and is a sad character. When she is threatened, Bella (From book two.) helps her and takes her to the club. Trigger avoids Thea, as he likes her and doesn’t want to, until she is attacked. then all of a sudden she’s his, her nephew is his and he’s her ‘daddy.’ He still doesn’t treat Thea very well when they’ve got together, making her a prisoner at home, ‘for her safety.’ Of course it is. 🙄 It doesn’t seem to Thea that he’s ashamed of her at all. Smh.

I didn’t like Trigger. He’s too angry at everyone and everything. He lashes out at Thea when he’s angry. He came across as very controlling. Nope…..

I love the infernal sons, I read so many MC books and I almost always love the first book best. This has not been the case of the series, it’s like with each story I fall in love more. Trigger and Thea’s story has seriously hit me hard, I loved the fact that the story had a huge plot trope that wasn’t even hinted at in the description. It’s one of my favorite dynamics in romance and I squealed when it came to light. Plus Thea’s thicker than a snicker??? Ugh just take my money and all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My only tiny bit of of dislike is towards the ending when we find out about triggers childhood friend, that is a serious character building event and it seemed super rushed. Something like that happens in life well it deserves a bit more than a few pages in my opinion. Still loved it all.

Great read!

I loved the plot of this book a lot.. I love how the insta love happens in each book with such a huge intensity. The only thing I didn’t care for was the relationship dynamic. Daddy doms aren’t my favorite at all. Dark romance and some bdsm is cool but it just makes me uncomfortable to read daddy doms. Some parts of the book when she would go back and forth from adult to child persona was difficult to keep reading through bc it was a bit ridiculous. Besides that it was pretty tame which was good because if he would’ve whipped out a bottle, diaper, or nunu and play out that scenario I would’ve closed the book and not read anymore. But besides my preference not being on that type of dynamic of romance it was a really good book with a solid plot!! I need a release date for Bricks book now!! And Inks!!

So good

I love Carol Dawn's Infernal Sons MC series. I discovered her on Amazon while I was scrolling through looking for a new book to read and came across her first book Bear . The cover stood out to me I read the blurb and one clicked it and haven't looked back since. The brother's are all Alpha tattooed and dominant and practically cave men they protect their own and those who happen to fall in love with them are never the same again. This was Triggers story he was darkness and meeting Thiea he was wasn't dragged into the light he went willingly . She was everything he thought he didn't deserve and he was everything she had ever hoped for. I can't wait for Brick's book I know it's going to be even better then Triggers and that's saying something. five star read from me.
