Undead Incorporated

The paranormal? It’s all nonsense, but proving it might get him killed.

A woman whose dead husband is haunting her? That sounds like a routine case. Until she reveals her husband’s name …

… and a past event Tempest wants to forget comes back to haunt him. Taking a case he doesn’t want, its only hours before he finds a threat on his doorstep.

Leave the dead to be dead.

Unfortunately, that’s not always possible.

Let's start this off with an invitation to get some FREE books. No, you didn't read that wrong, we are talking about multiple free books. I love giving away free books because once people delve into the fast-paced mystery thrills I write, they go on to buy lots more.

All I need from you is an email address to send them to. Here's the link you need - https://mailchi.mp/fd47a6eb4ae5/patri...

When I wrote my first novel, Paranormal Nonsense, I was a Captain in the British Army. I would love to pretend that I had one of those careers that has to be redacted and in general denied by the government and that I have had to change my name and continually move about because I am still on the watch list in several countries. In truth though, I started out as a mechanic. Not like Jason Statham, sneaking about as a contract killer, more like one of those greasy gits that charge you a fortune and keep your car for a week when all you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.

At school, I was mostly disinterested in every subject except creative writing, for which, at age ten, I won my first award. However, calling it my first award suggests that there have been more, which there have not. Accolades may come but, in the meantime, I am having a ball writing mystery stories and crime thrillers and will claim to have more than a hundred books forming an unruly queue in my head as they clamor to get out.

Now retired from the military, I live in the south-east corner of England with a pair of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, I doubt I will ever leave, the beer is just too good.

Undead Incorporated by Steve Higgs is the 15th book in the Blue Moon Investigations series. Paranormal investigator Tempest Michaels is hired by a woman who believes her dead husband is haunting her and finds himself under attack by a group calling themselves Undead Incorporated. Another fun book in the series where Tempest finds his previous army experience helpful. I loved hearing about Frank's house and his collection of weapons. Plenty of humour as he again tries to disprove any paranormaol explanations. A superb cozy mystery with fun characters who aren't afraid to tackle anything.

A book that reaches back into the past, to explain the deaths of a team of special soldiers.

Tempest Michaels of Blue Moon Paranormal Investigations has a rather different case this time. A team of soldiers of Special Op Squadron who Tempest and BigBen had worked alongside for certain tasks in the armed forces almost 20 years before, has lost a member. A woman has come to Tempest to ask him to explain why she and a friend of hers, had both seen a ghost! The ghost of her dead husband.

So Tempest looks into the case, but as he begins his investigation, he gets a call from a terrified elderly man who believes he's being tormented by a monster in his closet trying to get out at him. Tempest takes the case and all sorts of fun and games ensues.

Many folks are lying, including clients and witesses alike, and for Tempest the fun and excitement lays in sifting through all the red herrings given to him, to get to the juicy bits of useful information that will move the case forward.
However, when Tempest and his friend and colleague Ben, begin to get serious death threats, he finally knows he's on to something serious and critical to the case.
That's when things hot up considerably. When the enemy you face is as skilled as you are, things get hairy, and Tempest will need to think more outside the box in order to bring himself and Ben to the culmination of the case safely.

I love story's from the Blue Moon Paranormal Investigations files. They are always incredibly fun to read, very cleverly written, extremely entertaining, and they help a quiet Sunday afternoon pass more pleasantly. Plus it's really fun for me, trying to figure out who, what, and where things are happening as I go along in the story. If possible, I like to have figured things out before I get to the middle of the story, but that is not usually the case.

I absolutely love this stuff; it's the closest thing to me being a real investigator that I am likely to ever get in my lifetime! 😁

Tempest is just back from his case of The Herne Bay Howlers, when he meets with a new client, who says that she has seen the ghost of her husband, who has been clearly dead for some time. It turns out that Tempest and his colleague, Big Ben, had actually been stationed in Afghanistan with the dead husband and his squad!
After accepting the case, it seems that there are threats lies affecting Tempest's family and friends. Action and intrigue ensue!

Higg's Blue Moon series is a hoot to read and enjoy! This episode is delightful and fun as well! Although not short in length, the action and dialogue drives the reader to finish this book to find out the ending!

.My review is based on an Advance Reader Copy of the novel, and I believe that aside from a rare typo, that my review is reflective of the final version published. Read and enjoy!

This time around the mystery involves a rash of sightings of people supposedly dead and buried-- and when Tempest and friends try to penetrate the cause, those dead people turn murderous. Tempest finds an invaluable ally in his occult bookstore owner neighbour, Frank Decaux, who turns out to have many gadgets to hand, such as the flaming sword featured on the cover art, effective against both mortal and ghostly foes.

Who knew that army Special Ops training would come in handy against the living dead? I did not see that coming. Higgs delivers the thrills and gets it all unraveled in time for Christmas.

Bk15 Undead Inc.

Well its Tempests latest case,
What can I say it has all the normal fun, thrilling, chilling rides with extra dose of Big Ben, I mean humour😜.
Tempests mother up to her normal ways, Temps dad just as much fun and CI Ian Quinn stuck in his🐖🐷 ways.

Tempest & Amanda finally admit how they "feel" about each other🎉🎉🎉.

I missed the attendance of Patience she is always a ray of sunshine of a dark cloudy day.

But hail, rain, snow or shine
Steve Higgs you've done it again-Thank u, when did u say the next one was due out 🤪😆😝

Dead or Alive

Once again I have finished yet another one of the paranormal books by Mr Higgs. I found this book thrilling. I couldn’t put it down. This brings bad not so good memories of the time spent by Tempest in the army. He finds himself in the middle of something he can’t seem to GET!! It will take all the investigators, friends and family to unravel this story. It gets scary and just when they think they won’t ever get it, they do!! Don’t miss this story for sure!! Good reading!!

Spectacular as always.

Mr. Higgs may well be the most prolific author I've ever heard of. I read three of his series and my wife, who's account this is, reads another two. How he manages to write such different genres equally well, characters you care about in ridiculous but believable predicaments, is likely the greatest mystery that he's involved with. If you enjoy well paced, humorous, and snarky, you'll love this and ALL of his other titles.

This may be the most dangerous case so far. Tempest and his cohorts are up against one or more former Special Ops Squadron men who they knew in Iraq. The kind of men with special killing skills. Yikes!
There is much mayhem and Jane is back to being a hacker genius. There is no time for side cases this time what with everyone having car 'problems' and Tempest's mom and dad moving in.
another engaging, fun read.

Wives, Dead Husbands, and Ghosts... Oh My

This was definitely a high energy book. What I mean is, there was a lot of action, and scary moments, but it all worked out and no good guys were hurt. I had suspicions before they were revealed, but, I was still surprised at the end. Great story.

It seems the dead have risen!
A fast-paced ride filled with all sorts of danger and hijinks! Our favourite team is thrust into another mystery without a moment of peace or rest from their last case. Can Tempest solve this mystery before any of his loved ones get killed? A reader can only hope! I stayed up far too late every night reading this one...lol.

Exciting storyline!

I really like this storyline about a former military man becoming a private investigator. This one included the whole team and even Tempest's parents . There were twists that made it hard to put the book down. Can't wait for the mystery.

This book is defiantly one of my favourites in this series, taking The boys tempest and Ben back to where they met, in a war that was harsh. The way it is written shows Steve's military knowledge and was a pleasure to read.

I’m always amazed at the detailed writing of Steve Higgs. This story was about dead men who may or may not have died and
Tempest has to discover if it’s true or not. And if they are alive, what are they planning and why are they trying to kill him?
