Dylann Crush writes contemporary romance with sizzle and sass. A romantic at heart, she loves her heroines spunky and her heroes super sexy. When she’s not dreaming up steamy storylines, she can be found sipping a margarita and searching for the best Tex-Mex food in Minnesota.
Although she grew up in Texas, she currently lives in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul with her unflappable husband, three energetic kids, a clumsy Great Dane, a rescue mutt and a very chill cat. She loves to connect with readers, other authors and fans of tequila. You can find her at www.dylanncrush.com.
4 So Worth The Time Stars * * * * Spoiler Free-Terrific Cause, Limited Time 99 CENTS!!! I was lucky enough to get my hands on this anthology and can honestly say, it was enjoyable reading it. Twenty authors decided to do something special for the holidays. They put together this book to go #Nuts4Books and proceeds will benefit the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.
How Great Is That!
Now I wasn't able to read all of the stories so far but I have read a couple and what a delight.
In Ball Sacked by Christina Hovland, we are blessed with having the Infamous Babushka from the Mile High Matched series working her magic for granddaughter, Anna Dvornakov.
Anna has an ex-boyfriend who will be part of the bachelor auction for the charity. She had been dating him for about two blissful months and then decided it had to be over. Did she have good cause, yes...but she was missing how good it was. Seeing him again was not going to be easy. But she had a job to do and all of the arrangements for the first annual Jingle Balls Ball were her responsibility. She had done the flowers, twinkle lights, winter wonderland, all of it, and the room was perfect.
Drake Wellington wanted to have another chance with Anna. Working some unknown magic, he was able to put himself in front of her at this ball. It was the only way because she refused to take his calls, respond to his texts or be at the flower shop when he came by. He missed her and wanted to clear the air and have a second chance.
Drake knew he needed to figure out his life and Anna was part of his missing piece.
This was a sweet, fun, and insightful story of two people who just needed to talk things out. You wanted them to find their way back together and when they did, everything felt perfect. All with Babushka blessings.
I also read Scoring a Holiday Match by Delancey Stewart and I Told You So by Serena Bell. Both entertaining, smexy and fun. This group of authors put together a variety of stories that will keep you busy and put a smile on your face all for the chance to do something positive and fight Testicular Cancer.

This is an entertaining, well-written collection of holiday romantic comedy novellas which supports testicular cancer. I enjoyed every one! The steamiest was Kilby Blades' entry. The funniest was Sylvie Stewart's story. Christina Hovland's story was heart-warming, and Babushka's appearance was an added bonus! The majority of these stories can be enjoyed as stand alones. Many of the entries are parts of a series and have piqued my interest in reading the other entries by these wonderful authors.
You can’t go wrong with twenty new short stories from twenty rom-com authors. Each story is holiday themed, and every story is fun. Usually, I think the best part of anthologies is becoming acquainted with new authors, but the Jingle Balls Anthology has the added benefit of doing something good. The proceeds from the sale of the Jingle Ball Anthology benefit the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.
I picked up this book because I love Christina Hovland’s Mile High Matched series, and I wanted to read her short story about Anna Dvornakov. I loved getting more of Babushka’s antics as well as a cute romance for Anna.
The story titles are funny plays on the cause benefitting from the sales of this book. From Aidy Award’s Curve Ball to Sylvie Stewart’s Nuts About You, Jingle Balls: A Holiday Romantic Comedy Anthology is filled with rom-com short stories that will brighten your lunch hour or afternoon break. You get some good reads while contributing to a good cause!
Good variety, steam, sometimes sweet: 🎉party-induced romance💋
Some better than others but it's a good variety of short stories, some obviously just the prequel to a future, longer treatment of a romance or an interlude in an already-established series. My favorites included:
-Rockin' Around the Jingle Balls Ball by Susannah Nix. I Loved Nix's Remedial Rocket Science and this story brings back Melody in a supporting role. Her friend and a stranger switch their first dates for a hook-up with each other.
-Scoring a Holiday Match by Delancey Stewart. This one is more sweet than spicy as the heroine San Diego CEO is set up with an Alaska crabbing captain and the sparks are dampened by thoughts of their distance issues.
-Lick My Snowballs by Tracey Pedersen. This one features two saucy Aussies who stage a hot reunion in a storage closet😉.
And the following that are described or appear to be prequels for a longer story to come:
-Mistletoe Hearts by Brenda St. John Brown. The female owner of a struggling village pub connects with a visiting tv producer who is ready to renovate her competition and sink her business.
-Licking His Candy Cane by Elizabeth Lynx. This steamy teaser finds two total strangers who've never even seen each other trysting in a locked closet in the dark.
-Decidedly for Christmas by Stina Lindenblatt. A widow gels with a former school mate who's never gotten over his attraction to her at a masked ball and insists that their identities remain unknown.
Ended up not reading all of the stories as they were all quite similar. Some kind of ball/party/ gathering and sex. Different circumstances but nevertheless similar story in each part.
But bravo to the ladies for writing for such a great cause!
I love Christmas romances, and even more, I love a Christmas anthology! This one is great and such a festive enjoyable read. There is a common theme in the book that there’s a charity ball or function and since this is a charity anthology that raises money for testicular cancer, it’s mentioned in these stories, and I love that. You won’t be disappointed by these stories and since it’s a charity anthology, your purchase will be going to a good cause. I received an ARC but I will be purchasing after it releases.
Funny and so, so sexy, I'm not surprised, because that is exactly what you can expect from this author, and she always delivers.
I'm curious about Monty and Julia's story since Ruining the Billionaire's Wedding (first book in the Blue Ridge Mountain Billionaires series), and I could get a glimpse of what happened with them and how they met.
I already loved their first interaction and I can't wait to see more about them, because I have a feeling (since the very beginning of the series) that Monty is gonna be my favorite Diaz brothers.
There is something about him so alluring, so intriguing that keeps hooking me and it leaves me always wanting for more.
I’m left unsatisfied and wanting, so I don’t know if it’s going to be a good recommendation but I need the full book now, Brenda. So don’t jingle any more balls but give it to me already. 😍I loved this little snippet of meet cute and introduction to the characters of the next book from Brenda St. John Brown. I’m sure it’s going to be a wonderful story with banter, heat and hilarious moments I would love to see on the big screen if this short story is any indication.
Susannah Nix provides both satisfaction, hilarity and the perfect happy ending. I had a great time revisiting some of my favorite people from her chemistry lessons. I can promise a whole lot of chemistry, a ball and a wedding. A swoon worthy not price charming and a sassy stem heroine. What more do you want?
It’s quite heavenly to get back to Hell for a little jingle ball shenanigans. Combine a brainy spitfire with a wild guy and all bets are off. This gives us all the hilarious characters we know and love and introduce us to a few others we can’t help but adore. Fast track to instant love for me.
Delancey Stewart has captured the holiday spirit in this magical and romantic novella from the Mr. Match world. I’m almost choked up with a few simple words. She has a way of doing that to me and for that I will always be grateful.
Ending this anthology with a smoking hot jock is making me nuts for Sylvie Stewart. It’s a hilarious and over the top story about a fan girling painter and her crush, a few auction items gone missing a few twists and turns, a game of truth and dare and smoking hot chemistry. My only complaint is that I want more, so much more.
Coldcocked by Saint Nick by Melonie Johnson, a delightful novella that had me laughing out loud at the elf hats as well as the double entendres. I loved that Tiffany was redeemed as I really disliked her in Getting Hot with the Scot. Lovely characters for a short story & their chemistry sizzled
I'll update my review as I read the other novellas My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Merged review:

For you Rooftop Crew fans this quick read gives you POV's for all the crew and will absolutely have you intrigued for their next release in this series Our Star-Crossed Kiss. I loved getting sneak peeks at the relationships between each crew character, as well as, how Dylan and Rian's love for each other has only grown. I had nothing but a smile from ear to ear while reading this fun story!

I was sent this book as an ARC from Stina Lindenblatt. This book also includes another favourite author of PiperRayne.
Decidedly For Christmas is a wonderful story of a chance meeting of two old friend but because it's a masquerade party Keira doesn't know it's her old friend from school Logan. This is a wonderful beginning to Stina's next book in the series.
Not So Silent Night is a small look into the life of our favourite Roof top crew. We get to see them all for a glimpse that the charity ball.
This book also intruded me to some new author.. Loved their stories as well
Please buy this book because the money goes to an amazing cause.....Testicular Cancer Awareness
(Update: 7 Jun 22) Adding extra tags/shelves. I'm finally organizing more lol.
(Review: Sept 20)
Anthology Received as an ARC, given by Stina Lindenblatt, for a honest review.
I haven't Read the whole Anthology, but I'm Writing reviews as I read it. 20 authors decided to do something special for the Holidays and put together this book to go #Nuts4Books and proceeds will benefit the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. This is 800+ pages of Christmas Goodness+Hot Guys❤. I've read Some of the stories & it's a Delight!
~Decidedly for Christmas BY Stina Lindenblatt~ Stina's one of my fav Rom-Com authors and this story, despite being Short, had the Hilariousness and emotions I love in her books!
Kiera is a Kindergarten Teacher in San Francisco. We saw her 1st in her Bestie-Chloe's story (Spying under the mistletoe). Logan, Chicago's Hockey player, Is her late Husband's best-friend.
The two obviously know eachother, but as ‘Jingle Balls’ is a Masquerade ball, She didn't know it's Logan (He knows). The two share a magical night full Cinderella style, a few shenanigans and Sexy times.
They both know it's a one-night-stand, BUT What happens in this Ball may have Consequences they didn't expect *wink*. I'm so excited for the continuation of the two's story in Decidedly with Luck!
Jingle Balls Rocks! Many shorts of fun, steam and a small amount of drama. There are several I hope to look into for follow ups. I enjoyed the vast majority of these stories, laughed out loud in some and found Christmas cheer in most. All are worth the time, this is a great collection for the holidays.
Merged review:
Fun holiday read with a bit of hot spice. This centers around one of Melonie Johnson’s previous book characters and redeemed her selfishness from that story. Part of the Jingle Balls Anthology, of which is full of holiday reading fun. Don’t miss this one.
I picked this up for charity and stayed for the delightful stories. Some steamy, some not, and with ball jokes aplenty this lineup of fantastic authors has plenty for you to enjoy. My favorite stories in no particular order: Susannah Nix's ROCKIN' AROUND THE JINGLE BALLS BALL, Tracey Pedersen's LICK MY SNOWBALLS, and Sylvie Stewert's NUTS ABOUT YOU.
Bonus: The endless giggling when my husband told my MIL what I was reading.
Also, I have officially peaked because I have written the words "lick my snowballs" in a review.
This is a fantastic anthology that is bringing awareness and raising money for a very worthy cause - testicular cancer. This collection of stories is a fun, flirty and fabulous way to escape.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
I applaud all the authors who took part and contributed to this worthy cause for Testicular Cancer.
Curve Ball by Aidy Award
This was a fun, sexy story about overcoming insecurities and to be proud of who you are, just as you are. Chelsea goes to the Jingle Balls Ball and bids on Taylor. He is the barista she has always been attracted to, but never had the courage to pursue it. Christmas stories always cheer me up and gets me in the holiday spirit. This was a wonderful story with just the right amount of heat and romance.
A Blue-Balled Holiday by Dylann Crush
After failing at her job and her relationship, Heather finds herself having to go home to her small town. They are going to make a field day of her situation. She manages to finagle Heather and the hot, sex on a stick chiropractor Weston Pierce to go to the Ball together. He needs a nurse; she needs a job. When they meet, sparks fly. Will Misty's matchmaking be a success? I have always loved small town romances.
Oh I am so glad I got to read an early copy of this fun, fun book. I wanted to read it because I'm a fan of Serena Bell, Piper Rayne and Delancey Stewart. I love Serena's story. I Told You So was so sweet and funny and really romantic for a short little novella. And the grandma made my day with her eerily peek into the future. LOL Piper Rayne's story with Rian and Dylan story was a will he or won't he kind of night. I loved it. Scoring a Holiday Match by Delancey Stewart was so all about a blind date...those can sometimes be really fun.
All the quick little novellas in this book were really fun to read. Bringing awareness to testicular cancer is a great reason to support this book. I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review
"Rose?" "Yeah," I said, my voice as weak as my knees felt. I cleared my throat and tried to get hold of myself. I was not a shy twenty-one-year-old, dammit.
And THAT, is how Mr. Match works, by the way. When you least expect it, and who you least expect. Rose is CEO of a IT Security company. She doesn't have time for much of a personal life.
Ash, well he has decided to do more than just sit back and spend his trust fund. He is an Alaskan crab boat captain. A dangerous job, yes - but so rewarding to get his hands dirty. He also doesn't have time for a personal life. Only a small amount of his time is spent in San Diego. This is not the place to find a relationship.
Yet, when Rose and Ash are matched and meet, their whole perspective changes. Maybe there is room for work and play?
I’m in love with this complication of stories from some terrific authors. I even found some new authors I have not read yet and look forward to checking out more of their stories. Deck the Halls with Balls by Marika Ray is hysterical and is sure to put a smile on your face. We take a trip back to Auburn Hill to revisit favorite characters, meet new ones, and experience the Jingle Ball. You never know what to expect with each visit so buckle up and prepare for a wild time. This anthology is also for a great cause so make sure it’s on your tbr list.
I am always down to read Christmas stories at any time of the year - so when I had the opportunity to read this anthology, I jumped at the chance.
What a great set of stories - and for a great cause! It was also so great to read some of my favorite author and revisit some of the storylines they'd set up in previous books. Delancey Stewart's Scoring a Holiday Match was so fun because 1.) it took me back to the wonderful Mr. Match series, and 2.) the opening line made me crack up, which totally let me know that this story was going to be good. Rose and her holiday match are really meant for each other in more ways than one, even if they both fight it more than they should. I love Rose's character because she is so strong and independent, but I also got frustrated with her because homegirl deserved love! When she finally met her match, their chemistry was off the charts - but it took some twists and turns to finally get her to open up to possibilities. I spent most of this story laughing, part of cringing, and all of it swooning.
And then there's Out of the Eggnog by Arell Rivers, which I looooved. I just finished reading Out of the Gold not too long ago (if you haven't read that series, you need to), so to see Sophia and Mark back in the book spotlight again made me so happy. I'd been dying for a story to develop between them since they were introduced in Out of the Gold, and I was thrilled with how this all developed. I won't spoil it, but man. If you've read Out of the Gold, you HAVE to read this. Even if you haven't, you still need to read this story (then go back and read the Hunte series).
If you're looking for a really, really good holiday anthology that you can read over and over again over the next few months, this one is it. Great authors, great storylines, great tie-backs to reader favorites, and balls. You can't go wrong with any of this.
This review is only for the SOPHIA HENRY story. I received an ARC for my honest opinion.
I loved it! I love just about everything Ms. Henry writes and this story was no different. For such a short story, it was loaded with sexual tension from the first page til the last. Both MCs were fleshed out enough that I just wanted to read more about both of them and see how their story ends. And speaking of ends, it was left on such a cliffhanger, which I usually hate, that I know I'll be ready to buy as soon as it drops. I can't wait to see how they're going to handle their relationship, among other things!
I read Decidedly for Christmas by Sina Lindenblatt and I was sucked into this story quickly. Great quick story that I enjoyed and can't wait for it to continue.
This is a great selection of funny, sexy HEA"s all set around the holidays and testicular cancer awareness events/fundraisers. The authors in this anthology stayed true to task and I laughed out at some of the cheesy antics, awkward moments and so many double entendres centered around "balls". The stories span from second chance to insta-love but are well thought out and well written. Some standouts for me:
*Lick My Snowballs - Tracey Pedersen: Peggy and Adam get a second chance even if it starts out a little weird. *Deck the Halls with Balls -Marika Ray: one of my favorites. Prescott and Jazzie are hilarious and I am in love with the Auburn Hill characters *Not so Silent Night - Piper Rayne: Poor Dylan just wanted to praise his fiancee but the Rooftop crew was all over the place. *Cold Clocked by St. Nick - Melonie Johnson: fun insta-love story between Tiffany and singing Nick. *Sleigh my Name - Kilby Blades: Michael and Darby heat up the pages. *Jingle Ball Benders - Sophia Henry: A quick hockey themed story with a player and a bartender. *I Told You So- Serena Bell: Imagine coming face to face with your hot one-night stand.
And so many more fun stories all written for a great cause. If you like quick holiday romances that may entice you to read more of the author's back-lists, then this is the anthology for you!
A highly entertaining anthology by multiple authors with proceeds benefitting the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation, obviously a very worthy cause that I'm glad I was able to read multiple authors.
This is an anthology of short stories all taking place around the Jingle Balls Ball, an annual fundraising event for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation and the sales profits are to benefit the cause. I received this book by way of Piper Rayne and I read it from cover to cover. Now I'm more than happy to have found more than one new author to follow.
Not So Silent Night by Piper Rayne Always love to revisit with favorite characters, which is the case with any Piper Rayne book. This is a short and sweet story to give us a glimpse of what's going on and to come for the Rooftop Crew. Lovely as usual and making my mouth water for the next installment of the series.
Curve Ball by Aidy Award Epic fun, LOL short story. This was my first time reading this author, but her Curvy Love series went straight into my TBR!
I Told You So by Serena Bell Mack and Phaedra meet again as best man and MOH at a Christmas wedding. The story was a little slow but cute nonetheless.
Sleigh My Name by Kilby Blades Michael is trying to woo Darby by way of a do-over of a date gone wrong. The story was a tad over the top for my taste and I think it’s better suited for fans of the Love Conquers None duet.
A Blue-Balled Holiday by Dylann Crush Heather’s plan wasn’t to spend the holidays at home or to meet Weston, the hot chiropractor. Their story is light, flirty, well written and LOL type of fun from the beginning. Major qualities I look for in an author!
Jingle Ball Bender by Sophia Henry Fun and sexy story about a hockey god and a bartender who have the hots for each other. The ending was all kinds of unexpected.
Ball Sacked by Christina Hovland Sassy Anna and her hot QB ex-boyfriend Drake are brought back together at the Jingle Balls Ball.
Coldcocked by Saint Nick by Melonie Johnson Great short read by an already known author. Loved the whole story and that mean Tiffany got herself a much needed man and attitude tune-up.
Under the Mistletoe by Tawdra Kandle Darcy and Jackson have a history and when they come together again, things get a tad out of hand, but they are resolved under the mistletoe. This story was sweet and sexy, but utterly predictable.
Decidedly for Christmas by Stina Lindenblatt This is the prequel for Kiera and Logan’s story. It was an amazing read and I can't wait for the rest of it.
Licking his Candy Cane by Elizabeth Lynx Monty and Julia have a sexy meeting mixed with a lot of laughter. Being trapped in a closet has never felt better! Looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Wrapped Up With You by Claire Marti Rafael and Phoebe might be co-workers, but they’re definitely not friends in this sexy enemies to lovers story. Another author that has me wanting to read the full series.
One Jingle or Two by MK Meredith Another winner from a new to me author. Alora and Nate are both survivors and the author brought a totally different approach to the table which I enjoyed very much. I found this book to be funny and straight to the heart.
Rockin' Around the Jingle Balls Ball by Susannah Nix Gen and Chris are not having the best night at the Jingle Balls ball until they meet each other and end up having a fling. I really enjoyed the story and found the writing very clever.
Lick my Snowballs by Tracey Pedersen Peggy and Adam are both Aussies in NYC, but there’s more to this story of lovers coming together far away from home. This story is one of my favorites from the book, ridiculously funny and festive.
Deck the Halls with Balls by Marika Ray Brewer + scientist = explosive chemistry. Another LOL fun story from beginning to end.
Out of the Eggnog by Arell Rivers Sophia and Mark share a birthday and the attraction to each other. This is a nice enemies to lovers story standalone part of the Hunte Family series.
Mistletoe Hearts by Brenda St John Brown Lucy and Stefan meet at the Jingle Balls Ball in this very nice prequel to an upcoming story I can't wait to read.
Scoring a Holiday Match by Delancey Stewart Ash and Rose’s story is a short standalone from the Mr. Match series. I found myself falling for both the characters and their coming together.
Nuts About You by Sylvie Stewart Gunner is a baseball god and Lizzie is a goofball, but when they end up trapped in the basement where the Jingle Balls fundraiser is taking place, things might not go at all as planned. Lizzie is the craziest of them all and you are guaranteed to laugh just reading her train of thoughts.
Jingle Balls is a holiday rom-com anthology put together by 20 amazing authors all to support the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. Quite a few of my favorite rom-com authors, such as Christina Hovland, Marika Ray, Susannah Nix and Sylvie Stewart, have a novella in this book- but this anthology also introduced me to many other authors that I look forward to reading some of their other works!
I received an ARC from Christina Hovland - and I couldn’t have been more excited. Her novella, Ball Sacked, brings us the story of Anna Dvornakov from the Mile High Matched Series. Knowing Anna from the series makes this novella all the more enjoyable- but can definitely be enjoyed easily if this is your first time reading something by Christina Hovland. Ball Sacked was sweet, funny and the perfect amount of angst for being a novella. I personally was very excited to read about Anna finally getting her HEA (and now we just need Babushka to work on the last Dvornakov sibling!)
Anna had recently broken up with her pro-football boyfriend, Drake, and was attending the Jingle Balls Ball alone. Only unknown to Anna, her brother Roman and her Babushka had taken her love life into their meddling hands and not only signed her ex up to be in the bachelor auction but also brought Drake in to be Anna’s date for the evening. Drake had been missing Anna. He never wanted her to break up with him- but his life as a professional football player was up in the sky so Anna took Drake not wanting her to move to be with him as him not wanting to be in a serious relationship with her. But with the help of a sneaky elderly Russian grandmother and her meddling apprentice grandson- Anna and Drake find themselves thrown together and literally locked in a room until they both figure out that they still want and love each other.
I can’t rate an anthology for a good cause low. I just can’t. But in general, I think I can sum this anthology up by breaking it into 4 categories:
1) Short story writers: Those that wrote a short story. I applaud each of these authors. Some were okay, some were kickin’.
2) Intro cliffys: Those who wrote cliffhangers as the beginning or part of a series that isn’t out yet. I curse you! *shakes tiny fist*
3) Reunion: Those who took characters from a series and put them all together as a kind of thank you to their fans, I guess? These left me a wee bit confused b/c there was no world building or much character development.
4) Random: Those (or the author) who departed from the Jingle Ball dance. Why would they do that? I don’t know, but I really liked the way the other authors stuck to the theme.
Susanna Nix straddled 2 of the categories because although the characters in her series were in her short story (so it could kind of be a reunion type of story) the 2 main characters still needed to be developed and she did it really well.
A good anthology for a great cause. I will definitely pick up some of these authors [Susanna Nix (I haven’t read in awhile), Tracey Pedersen (new-to-me), Marika Rey (new-to-me), Sylvie Stewart (new-to-me), and maybe a couple more].
This review is for Ball Sacked by Christina Hovland. First off, I love this crazy Russian family. Every time they are involved they make me laugh out loud (I get looks, I don’t care). This time, Anna, Jase & Roman’s sister, is nursing a broken heart while helping out at the Jingle Balls Ball. Her and her boyfriend Drake, professional football player, broke up after she offered to move to Miami with/for him. It did not go well, so she went bye bye. But she still misses him. At the Ball, things get very interesting (and funny) when you add in a nosy Babushka, a big brother who’s taking lessons from their crazy grandma, a love sick football player who wants to set the record set. I loved this story (would love more!) and I can’t wait to read the rest. And I love that they’re raising money and awareness for Testicular Cancer 💜
