The Wiccan Haus is a place for magic and miracles, and that’s what single dad Alex King needs most right now. He’s devoted his life to finding a cure for the mysterious illness that has been slowly killing his little girl, but he’s out of options and out of hope. The last thing he’s looking for is romance.
After avoiding love after years of watching everyone close to her family die again and again, Willow Rowan has been coming to her cousins’ spa for years. Working for the human police to find missing people has left her worn and depleted, and after a string of failures, she comes to the family island in desperate need of recharging. She’s also seeking help in discovering who—or what—has been abducting seemingly unrelated people all across the country for months now. Instead, she’s drawn instantly to a broken little human family that has no idea how much magic surrounds them.
But as always, the Fates will have their way with even the most unwary at the Wiccan Haus. And Willow and Alex’s vacation fling takes an unexpected and dangerous turn when the evil Willow’s been hunting finds them. Will Alex be able to trust in the impossible when his whole world is on the line?
Elizabeth Silver is a writer, a tarot reader, a Level Two Cat Lady, and an internet junkie. Her day job is terribly dull, her hobbies oddly specific and quirky, and her husband the most patient person a writer could ask for.
A New Jersey native, Liz is a proud nerd and an awkward human being. She likes to think it makes her endearing. When not writing, Liz can be found collecting tarot cards, chasing Pokemon, fighting her way out of YouTube spirals, and/or performing online searches that will probably land her on a government list somewhere someday.
Even though this series has apparently been around for a while, since it has so many books, I hadn't heard of it before. This put me at somewhat of a disadvantage, although the main story feels as though it could nearly be a standalone. I felt myself confused by the prologue that takes place 5 years earlier than the main storyline, especially with all the talk of the island and its people (and the relationships I didn’t understand). (And I wasn't particularly thrilled that the prologue felt like an information dump, even though it was told in the slightly more creative guise of a therapist visit. I also thought the professional asked a few inappropriate questions.) But once the story proper started in the present day, I found myself easily drawn to the anxious hero and his adorable but very sick little girl. Despite the rough beginning, I ended up enjoying the story, especially with all the island had to offer.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Oh how I do enjoy coming to this island to see what a author has in store for us next. Alex needs hope since he has run out of it. Then there is Willow whom is a very interesting character whom i really liked. This was one with heart and intrigue along with the magic. When they are both there that is when we are really at the mercy of this author. Her puzzle was one indeed but Alex and his daughter were a rich part of this. As this takes shape and unfolds we are rewarded with their story of their time on this island and all that happens to make the impossible it would seem possible. The danger is the added spice that gives the tingles as that rains down on them. Glad I came.
This is part of The Wiccan Haus series a well written story with a very good storyline. It has been a very long time since I have read a book in this series,am I glad I decided to read this book. Willow Rowan, Alex King and his daughter Grace's story there is suspense, drama, danger, a sick little girl because of something her Father does not know about, and romance. I liked what Cemil did at the end. This is a new Author to me but I will be looking for more. I recommend this book.
The Wiccan Haus is a collaboration of various authors, coming together to write stories within the same world, but that is as much as I know about the series. Lost and Found has characters that appear in other books by other authors, and alludes to past events, but that doesn’t matter, because this is a lovely romance which can be read on its own.
Get ready for yet another island adventure of romance, and mystery. The wiccan haus welcomes you back in yet another tale of the unbelievable. Grab some popcorn peeps, and settle in you'll enjoy the ride.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Elizabeth did an amazing job in her first introduction to Wiccan Haus. Wiccan Haus is a magical place lol pun intended. I loved the connection between Alex and Willow even right from their first interaction on the ferry. They just clicked, yes it was a quick turn around but after everything that happened on the Island and what Willow has been through losing so many people that she loves, I fully understand why this featured insta-love so I’m not mad about it. I liked how well Alex took to finding out about the para world and the reason why his daughter Grace is sick. It just goes to show he’d do absolutely anything for his daughter as she’s his world.
I found it so funny how Grace was joking with Alex and Willow at breakfast about reading cards and Willow was telling her that she needs to work on asking people if they want to know their future instead of just blurting it out as a lot of people don’t want to know what’s to come, and she said oh so does that mean I shouldn’t tell you guys about the baby? Lol man she got them both so good as they were frozen in shock. I can’t believe Grace’s mother showed up when she did. I really don’t know how she could just leave especially knowing that there’s a possibility that your traits could be passed on to Grace, and the consequences could be if she’s not surrounded by magic.
Like how could she not even hint to Alex about it and what could happen to Grace if she’s not surrounded by magic? Yes, some people really aren’t meant to be parents but at least be a decent person and give a heads up no matter if your Alex thinks that she’s crazy talking about magic etc. Man, wee Grace was adorable. I loved the instant bond she had with Cemil and Myron. It was amazing to see what Cemil gifted Grace before they left the island. It just goes to show how amazing Cemil, Myron and the rest of the Rowans are. I’m looking forward to not only reading Cyrus, Cemil and Myron’s stories, but any other Wiccan Haus books that are released. I’d definitely recommend this book, the Wiccan Haus Universe and author to everyone.
