There are things I enjoyed about Bella Chew Chew, and some things I thought could have been better.

Minor spoiler alert:

I thought it was a strange choice to have her end up in the hospital, and it happened so quickly that it felt like it came out of nowhere. There are other environments that she could get trapped in where lots of people chew food besides a hospital.

I also wished for a little more development with Bella and Gareth's relationship, but I understand that it's a short story, so there's only so much relationship growth that can occur.

One of the things that I thought was really unique and creative was Bella's reaction to hearing people chew. I know someone who has similar reactions, so I know that that sort of thing is primed for comedic situations. Off the top of my head, I can't think of another story that revolves around this condition, but it's an interesting premise.

Greig puts a humorous spin on life with Bella in this short story.

Bella is such a fun and quirky character. I could definitely relate to her "chewing issues" as I have them myself. For being a short there is some great character detail which I love. Such a great ending on this too!

This was my first read from Greig and I enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of her work.

This story was witty, funny and sweet. An enjoyable short with likable characters.

I did notice the formatting appeared to be slightly off on the e-reader; at times, certain words\sentences dropped off in the middle of the page and continued on the next. It didn't take away from the reading experience, it was just an observation.

It is really nice seeing Author Greig return to writing, looking forward to reading her upcoming releases.
