Claw And Warder - Episode 4 They ate Gatsby
All I can say is... WHAT???
This episode of Claw and Warder is beyond incredible. As usual in crime stories, a murder has occurred and Oriscoe and Nogan are on scene.
Their investigation takes them undercover where they mix in with another branch also undercover. Things go from bad to worse once their cover is blown. There is a ton of action and suspense and eventually arrests are made.
What happens next at the trial is wrenching and totally unexpected. It makes me wish this series was produced for the small screen, it's that good. Kudos on a job well done, Mr. Vick, I can not wait to see where this story leads next.

Erik has done it again ... can't recall the last time I laughed when reading a book about murder and mayhem!!
As a Law & Order fan (Angie Harmon being my favourite) this series brings back good memories -- with the obvious twist.
Once again Lenny (I mean Leery) causes trouble for his partner and the Prosecutor's Office. A dead witness, zombies, werewolves, vampires and others run rampant through this book. The Undercover Agents certainly don't help Sam & Angie with what they do and say, but you'll have to read the book to learn more.
If you haven't read the others in the series you certainly should, but you can read this one as a standalone without missing much.

They Ate Gatsby, Episode 5 in Erik Henry Vick's Claw & Warder series, continues to give us a wonderful, witty look into the daily lives of our favorite quirky, supernatural duo. This time around, Dru and Leery must go undercover in their attempt to solve the case. Filled with magic, mayhem, murder, vampires and plenty of coffee, the storyline is fast-paced and well written. The characters are all wonderfully developed, both our old favorites and the new additions. Keep writing, Mr. Vick. I can't wait to see what surprises Episode 6 will bring!

I've really liked all of the Claw & Warder series up to this point. This tale just didn't have the feel of the others to me. The writing is on par, the humor is there, but in this outing the characters seem somewhat flat, maybe not enough action. Leery and Dru have always clicked for me but their procedures here are lacking. And the lameness of the prosecution is a real pity. There needs to be comeuppance; well, there are at least four novels to come. And, I didn't think much of the punny title; I'm sure Fitzgerald is giving a spectral groan....

This book was hilarious! Gatsby is drained to death and murdered in a brutal manner. Nogan and Oriscoe's investigations lead them to a set of elite vampires. The descriptions of some of these vampires as well as their antics had me in splits. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed The Claw and Warder series which can be read as standalones.

Very interesting
This title gives away a lot, making this the supernatural law and order remake of The Great Gatsby. The ending is different from the rest of the series, so expect the unexpected.

I was waiting for this one
I love this series. If you watch Law & Order franchise, you'll be prepared for this eventuality. It's what makes the series great. So with these novels.

Key witness J. Gatsby is not in court and he's got a good reason, he's dead. His ghost points toward a group of vampires known as the Dead Set. This is a super exclusive group that only someone who moves in high social circles would be able to infiltrate. One who might want to bring along her werewolf partner along as a bodyguard.
This book has an unexpected ending but it was better than the last book because Dru has, finally, stopped talking like a little girl.
