It’s the Christmas season, and romance, friendship, and family conflict abound in the small seaside town of Willa Bay.
Tia should be ecstatic -- she’s moving into one of the sunset-colored cottages at the Inn at Willa Bay with her friend Meg, but she’s preoccupied with a surprise newcomer to town and the impending holiday visit of her overbearing parents.
Cal has spent the last year forging a new life for himself in Willa Bay, seemingly worlds away from the rat race and trouble he’d been sucked into in Seattle.
Cassie has finally found happiness with a rekindled romance with her ex-husband and her ownership of a popular bakery, but she’s always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Reeling from a recent job loss and the end of a long-term relationship, Samantha seeks refuge as a housemother at a local private school, although she isn’t quite sure she’s a good fit for the position.
Debbie is deep into planning a fundraiser in honor of her good friend, but it’s more difficult than she’d expected.
I just finished the 4 books in this series and I kept waiting for even one of them to have anything to do with the title, though the bakery title was probably the closest. Book two, which was supposed to be about the restaurant had very little to do with it. How many chapters did we need about cleaning out the barn? 4 books down and still no restaurant. I expected the Sunset Cottages to focus on the cottages, maybe the visitors to them. Nope. Confusing titles. I did stick them out hoping for some resolutions, but other than Cassie and Kyle we aren't getting it. To many unfinished stories. The females are also pretty unlikable especially Zoe. I won't be bothering with anymore books by this author.
I have enjoyed the series and will continue to read the next one when it comes out. The one thing I do not enjoy is the character, Tia, repeatedly stating her relationship with her parents and how her parents will force her home to Texas. That and her brother taking her home. It's not necessary to keep stating these unless you're trying to make the book longer.
I read The first book within 24hrs because I couldn't put it down. The series of books are easy reads with lots of twits. I love how Nicole based the story are one village but has many different characters and extended family characters in the story. Its full of love, loss, triumphs, and much much more. By the end of the first book I felt as if I was there in the village and by the last book I felt like I knew the characters like family and I could imagine every inch off the inn and cottages due to amazing descriptions. I highly recommend these books for those that want something to whisk them away and watch characters develop of the series of books
The series continues in book 4...and like the previous 3...its filled with nice people doing the best they can with their lives, their families and their friendships. It's got happy endings, ending leaving this reader wanting to know what happen next in Willa Bay. I have never been to the Pacific Northwest, but these books make me want to visit. Fellow readers, I hope you enjoy this book and the previous 3 as much as I did.
Cute book, a book to just get lost in to finish or start your day. The story line and where it takes the wonderful women finding themselves and their purpose is nice. To me it reiterates the simple life of our purposes and how when you find it may not make life easier but it gives you the WHY.
Such a heartwarming series. It's always hard waiting for the next read in a series but the characters of Wills Bay make it worth it. Look forward to catching up again in spring
I've enjoyed all of her books this one is no exception. Nicole Ellis captures these characters lives and makes you feel like you are there going through all the experiences these characters go through.
I liked the fact that the characters were interesting and the plot was not complicated. I did have some difficulty switching between characters. But overall I enjoyed the story.
Nicole Ellis showcased each player in the 4th book, The Sunset Cottages. Miss Celia was the champion of this novel. She brought each character to the forefront in each chapter. Never letting anyone be left out.
Nicole Ellis has captured the inspiration of living on the seashore. It's a beautiful setting for Tia to find her true self and a new career. The characters are encouraging and supportive as Tia makes her new discoveries about life, love and family.
I enjoyed this book very much, just as I have with the previous books in the series. I am glad to hear there will be another one because these characters are not finished with their stories of yet. Tv
I love this series. I am awaiting the rest of the story! So many unfinished storylines! Lorra, Tia, Zoe and Meg - among others. Please, please write more!
I like the way the series continues on with each character. Will look forward to finishing the whole series. Just good clean stories about everyday life.
