Touchdown

Rate this book
Touchdown is part of Kristen Proby's With Me in Seattle Universe.

For a short, skinny, poor girl, I’m scrappy, focused, and not in the habit of falling over myself for a guy.
Until Solomon ‘The Boss’ Lee comes along.
Not even throwing food on his crotch has stopped him from pursuing me.
And while I’ve told him I’m not like the other women he’s dated, he doesn’t seem to care.

~

From the moment Jasmine threw food on my dick, I knew I was gone for her.
I had to have her.
Though making her mine may be the most difficult stance I’ve ever had to take.
The thing is, I don’t want the points with anyone else.
I want the touchdown with her.

5 Stars!

Maria MacDonald is brand new to me and y'all this book, sooooooo freaking good in all the ways! A fast-paced, sexy, steamy, unputdownable book that hooked me from the very start and didn't let go until the pages quit turning.

Touchdown is a standalone novella in the Quick Snap Collection and tells Solomon and Jasmine's story. From the moment these two meet, there's a connection.. a spark.. that neither can deny and from the moment they really connect face to face, all bets are off. He wants her and he'll stop at nothing to get her, even if she does like to run. Solomon is playing the long game and his prize, her heart, her body, just her.

My favorite so far from this series! You don't want to miss this amazing romance!

I highly recommend this book.

What do you do when you find out one of your favourite authors is writing a novella set in another favourite author’s universe (Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Universe, no less!)? Well, duh, it’s a no-brainer really *shrugs*. You read that bad boy asap.

Touchdown was an intense, heartfelt, and quick read with an enjoyable side of steam. *sighs* I do so enjoy a little insta-love every now and again! *winks* Does the heart good is all I’m saying...

Solomon and Jasmine’s story highlights the perils of fame and wealth. That we shouldn’t be quick to judgement as you never know what story lies behind someone’s smile. And above all, trust is key because you can’t give your heart without it.

*sighs* (yes, again!)

Sheesh, I’m getting a bit sentimental here!

I loved this little sojourn back to Seattle with an appearance from fan favourites, Will and Meg. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but hey, what’s new?

Let’s face it, Maria Macdonald has a knack of making me fall for all her leading men and Solomon is no exception. Harrumph – even when I have no clue when it comes to American football I’m still hooked.

Touchdown scored for me!

A very short novella read but nonetheless a story that will capture you from the very first word until the end. It's a part of the With Me series by K. Proby and the story of Jasmine and Solomon. Really enjoyed this short story!

Jasmine has been working very hard to try and make a dream come true to study as a social worker but it's been a very tough time. When she first meets Solomon, there's an instant spark between them but they get off on the wrong foot. After their encounter, Solomon is trying to find her to try and reconnect and make her see that there's something more between them even though they haven't known each other long yet. But when something happens, Jasmine wants to run for the hills but it'll take a lot more for Solomon to back down. Will they find their way to each other or will it be over before it even started?...

Wow! Maria has knocked another out of the park. I loved the chemistry between Jasmine and Solomon so much. The story had me hooked from the very start and I really wish there’d have been a another load of chapters that I could have read. There’s a reason Maria is my favourite author and this book only cements that!!

Jasmine and Sol's relationship isn't easy, but it is satisfying! They have this steamy instant connection but they still question it like any sane person should. And if you love Meg from With Me in Seattle, you will adore this book. She is the perfect addition to a quick-paced feel-good story.

Having not read With Me in Seattle series I was worried that would hinder the story, but it didn't, this can be read as a standalone. Im not a huge fan of insta-romance but I liked the fact that after the initial immediate attraction Jasmine pulls back and the will they, won't they pull ensues, as she questions if she's good enough for Solomon and can cope with the media attention that would follow if they started a relationship. I liked the friendship that we see form between Jasmine and Meg.
Its hard to get all the feels from a Novella as not much time to get invested in the characters but Maria Macdonald has delivered a great quick read, feel good story.

It’s been a while since I read anything from Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle series and it was lovely to see some of those characters again. The relationship those old characters build with the new ones is fantastic and the 2 worlds blend seamlessly. Jasmine is fiery and feisty and everything you want in a female lead. I love the relationship between her and Solomon and how it builds. Even though this book is a insta-love it doesn’t mean it’s all plain sailing and as they say the road to true love doesn’t run smoothly especially when you throw a big sister into the mix! I just wish this book was a novel not a novella as I would have loved more from these characters ❤️

I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Jasmine and Solomon‘s story. Solomon wants Jasmine but she is having none of it. She throws food at him and hits him directory in the jewels. He has no problem chasing her and knows in the end she will be worth the fight.

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

This is Cinderella with a twist.... minus the evil step sisters..... Solomon and Jasmine are different in so many ways... He's the hotshot football star and she's struggling to put a roof over her head. What she lacks in monetary value she makes up for in heart. She is one of the most caring and giving people . He is smitten from first glance .... this was my first read by this author but it won't be my last

This might be my favorite Quick Snap novella yet! I loved how Jasmine & Sol have this instant connection and how it's almost impossible for them to ignore it. Sol is so protective of Jasmine and it makes me swooooon. I loved that we got to see more of Meg in this book! She took Jasmine under her wing and I loved their friendship. This book was absolutely amazing and I wish I could read it for the first time all over again!

Touchdown is a rise from the ashes kind of story. Solomon is truly a man who proves that if you work hard your dreams can come true. Jasmine is proof that no amount of money can make you happy and that you need something to fill your cup, which for her is giving back. Maria pulled us in with Touchdown and reminded us never to judge a book by its cover. Although this cover is pretty easy on the eyes.

A quick and sweet read

This is a novella so it's short and sweet. I'm a big fan of the football team mentioned in this story. Enjoyed the story and it was easy to follow. Jasmine is a selfless person a real gem. Solomon is a pro football player and he has a big heart. When these two met it was by accident. Yet they connected and explored their feelings. This story has a HEA.

Love Maria's books and this didn't disappoint. Even though this is a novella, it didnt feel rushed and moves at a steady pace throughout. Solomon is hot and droolworthy whilst jasmine is cute and clumsy creating a steamy heartwarming short story, you will eat right up!

I absolutely loved this short story. Touchdown is part of a new novella collection tied to Kristen Proby's With Me In Seattle series and it is a fabulous quick read.

I loved how the author wrote this. It’s not easy to create a full story having only a limited amount of words to write it in and I thought Maria Macdonald did this very well indeed. This is Solomon and Jasmine’s story and I loved every moment of it! I particularly enjoyed the scene depicting when they met, but then again, I loved seeing them together as their story progressed too. I think Jasmine is a fabulous person and I’m certain once you get to know her that you will agree with me. I enjoyed seeing Solomon with his team mates and also outside of his work life. He is a great guy!

I highly recommend for you to read Touchdown as I know you won’t be disappointed. This is the second novella that I have read from the Lady Boss Press Quick Snap collection and I’m excited to see what the other authors have created for us too.

Solomon and Jasmine met when he was at a dinner for his football team and she was a server. She dumped his desert in his lap, and he was not to happy.
He was kind of yelling at her and she was telling him off.
Later her stopped a guy from attacking her and they just took off from there.
They hit a few bumps but were able to work things out and they found their HEA.

Good short read

Good short read with a nice bit of angst and insecurities with our leading characters. Bit of feel good and brotherhood within the football team.
