Thyme is running. She’s running from her pack. She’s running from her family. She’s running from her mate. Now she’s running from herself.
Ginger is hiding. She’s hiding from the rogues. She’s hiding from humans. She’s hiding from her past. Now she’s hiding from the Coalition that saved her.
Jules is lost. He’s lost his mate. He’s lost his friends. He’s lost his family. Now he’s lost his pack.
Cain has found them all, but what is found can’t always be saved.
I wanted to love this book. I adored the others but this one was lacking in a big way. It felt rushed and a lot of it didn’t make sense. I understood why she ran but why the heck did her sister think she was Mara? Did her wolf ever give her her memories back? Why did her wolf act like an abused animal? Did someone hurt the wolf? So much of this book didn’t make sense. Did she not know how old she was? She was still in high school when she left so why would she think a fully grown man would be her mate? Why didn’t Cain set her straight earlier on? Sooooo many questions. Her wolf was odd and what sister would even consider taking over her twins life. This one just felt really immature. I think I’ll go read the first one again just to get this one out of my head.
Really like the flow and style of writing. Usually I don't but Katzenmeyer way of writing style can suck a reader in. I really enjoyed Rosemary and Thyme/Ginger's story. Can't wait until Evan's.
So far I've read all 4 in this series and I'm excited for Evans tale! I love how they intertwine with eachother, keeping you updated on the previous characters lives while going in depth of others you don't know the full story of yet. Wonderful reads!
i think this book could have been much better like what happened when she ran away? i think i member reading something about an evil man and a cage? o am i thinking of an another book. but overall im glad it was happy ending for everyone.
Fourth instalment in the Kootenau Pack. Rosemary.and her and her twin thyme are sent to packs to find their mates the quiet Thyme mated to an alpha and the loud boisterous Rosemary to book worm nerdy student. D heir dentures
Oh my lions, bears, wolfs. To think all different shifters could live in one coalition. Is mind blowing. Ginger made it happen. She came into her own wolf.
Though they didn’t yet have wolves, when identical in looks, opposite in personality/demeanor twins outgoing, social Rosemary and quiet, introspective Thyme Willette aren’t mate claimed in their home pack, they go on a mating tour with females their age to search.
Entering a mating social, future alpha, Simon Hill claims Thyme as his mate and Rosemary meets future doctor, Jules Redford. Neither twin is happy and feels her sister is living her sister’s dream life. Simon and his pack want Thyme involved while Rosemary’s pack wants her quiet and out of the way.
A shy, lone shifter nears bear territory, the wolf knows things the human doesn’t but lets pack-less Cain save them. After soothing Cain’s night howls, he names her Ginger. When the ruling bear notes Ginger eased Cain’s howls, she asks if they’d help another wolf. Having fallen in love with Cain, Ginger’s willing but doesn’t understand when Cain only has eyes for Lee.
It was good to see what else was going on during the other outings but this reader wasn’t a fan of how the story unwound. Rating: 4.25stars
This was a really good story about twin sisters who need to build a life away from each other when they each meet their mate.
Rosemary, the extroverted twin, faces isolation when her mate begins college and is away studying constantly.
Thyme, the skittish introvert, is constantly forced into social situations because her mate is to be the Alpha one day.
When Rosemary goes to visit her sister, both girls get their wolf forms for the first time. In the chaos, Thyme runs away without telling anyone where she's going. Years go by and Thyme becomes a whole new woman.
The thing I don't get in this book is how the sisters didn't recognize each other later on. They're supposed to be twins. That was never explained.
