Christa A harmless blind date with a buff Alpha formerly with Delta Force. But then he kissed her, and rocked her foundation. A week later when her apartment lease falls through, she’s in his home. In his life. But she’s not the only woman who has her eye on him, and her competition doesn’t play fair. Plus, the man throws mixed signals every time she’s in his arms. No matter how hard she's fallen for him, she’s not sure she can tolerate much more. Meanwhile, her airline has put all flight attendants on alert for human trafficking. When a suspicious group of teen girls catches Christa’s attention, she must act fast. The last thing she expects is to end up as a hostage in a tense situation.
Mack He agreed to take her out because she was smoking hot. He hadn’t meant to fall for her. She’s far too innocent for someone like him. The very definition of vanilla. It takes every ounce of restraint to keep himself from taking things too fast. How long can he deny his Alpha tendencies? What if he tamps them down and never tells her? When it all blows up in his face, he’s not sure she will ever speak to him again. Before he has a chance to beg her forgiveness, she falls hostage to a madman on her flight. Rescuing her is his first priority. Convincing her to give him another chance is second on the list.

What started out as almost a joke, has us seeing yet another of Destiny's friends going on a blind date with one of Trent's now retired teammates. Libby and Jason started it all in 'Layover', now it's Christa's turn. Mack 'Kraft' Carter had danced with the blonde beauty at Trent and Destiny's wedding, now he's going on a date with her. He's also going to make a whole lot of assumptions about her during this date. Ones that had me laughing and wondering if he'd ever admit to his thoughts.
They have an awesome first date getting to know one another, I could feel the chemistry clicking in.
Moving day for Libby and Christa brings a startling surprise for Christa. Apparently the apartment she was supposed to rent wasn't vacated and the tenant signed a new lease. This leaves her without a place to stay. Now of course Mack isn't going to let her get a hotel or anything, he has a guest room. Although he'd like her in his bed, he wasn't going to rush into this and scare her away.
Christa on the other hand doesn't want to impose, but agrees. She gets more and more frustrated with Mack as he holds off taking her to his bed.
Mack also gives her some advice when she gets an email from the airline about possible human trafficking and signs to look for. She never really expects anything to come of it since the airline is aware and watching.
Plenty of laughs before the the sizzle kicks in, followed by some tension, scares and action.
I really can't wait to read what comes next, there is a hint of the next book 'Nonstop' that has me a bit impatient.
All the men asked Jason aka Hatch to set them up with Libbys friends so the blurb makes no sense. Saying he only agreed because she's hot. Yes he said that but he actively wanted to date one of the girls and called dibs on Christa.
"Saturday seemed so far away. He would be there first thing that morning, as well as several other guys to help with the move. She could wait that long. She had no choice. She needed to work all three nights between now and then" It's Monday night. Did the author forget that Friday exists? "Mack’s date with Christa rarely left his mind for the next five days. But he thought about her, and he was overly eager to see her Saturday morning." First the author missed a day then she added a day. Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday are 4 days. Not 3 nor 5. 4.
“Well, thanks for listening. I no longer have on my stupid-goggles. I promise not to be such a jackass in the future.” Only because he saw evidence, not because he believed the FMC. He doesn't deserve to be forgiven because had he not seen the evidence he'd still believe the OW over her. He literally told himself she wasn't the sweet woman EVERYONE said she was.
"Two young girls in their mid-teens sat next to him. Across the aisle was another girl Christa guessed to be about fourteen. And behind her was a third girl near the same age." Two plus one plus one equals four.........and since they originally said for girls, it's an obvious mistake to say the third girl and should never have passed proofreading
Redeye has a lot to recommend it. I loved the heroine Christa, who is shy but still strongly opinionated and willing to act on that. There is a suspenseful plot thread that builds to a great climax with lasting effects on the characters. I loved how the hero Mack is a go-for-broke guy when it comes to Christa and has to fight his own reputation as a bit of a manwhore to show his commitment to her. And I loved how Christa also has to confront and deal with the rapid pace of their evolving relationship.
I struggled a bit with Mack, though, as he makes a number of presumptions about Christa, including that because she’s shy, she must be a virgin (sorry, but in today’s day and age, I found that really presumptuous). He’s also supposed to be a dominant master, but he’s so nervous to even begin to broach this topic with Christa that it contradicted that supposed dominant nature to me. Redeye is wonderfully sexy, but Mack’s definition of kinky is shown in this book through some pretty tame activities—so much so that it made me wonder why he was so nervous to discuss this with Christa except for his presumption of her virginity.
But Jameson is such a pro writer that I still really enjoyed Redeye. It has two really intriguing characters who have great chemistry on the page, and I loved how Jameson brought in related characters from this and other series in a nicely organic way. So far, the Open Skies series has been truly a pleasure to read.
A thoroughly entertaining read, once started impossible to put doe until the end A wonderful read that was based around two main characters that had been extremely well written and they were Christina and Mack. As always, the author Becca writes her story so that you are actually able to picture the characters and also determine the actual plot so that it allows you to follow the story as closely as possible. Christina meets Mack when she goes on a blind date and then when her accommodation falls through, he is kind enough to allow her to come and stay within his lodging so that she had a safe and secure roof over her head. Mack finds Christina is not only beautiful she is also something special in the fact that she also has a very special innocence that he finds most endearing and he finds that he actually wants to get to know her better if at all possible. This is a wonderful second book in the series I am sure that you will be like myself looking forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
“Girl, do you have any idea what kind of men I’ve dated? I’m twenty-eight years old. My mother has set me up with half the Guatemalan men anywhere close to my age in a thirty-mile radius. Every one of them has been a failure.” Exclaimed Libby. Christa giggled. “Your Mom is persistent.” That’s an understatement. They are perfect gentlemen around my parents and then when we’re alone they poof out their chests and start some sort of mating dance. Libby shuddered at the reminder. Christa laughs, Don’t forget, I’ve been with you on a few double dates. I’ve seen this mating dance in action. Libby sighed as she once again glanced At Jason. I want to know what it feels like to be with a man who is more interested in me than himself. That guy....makes me squirm. I like the way he smiles at me. He rock hard, muscular, and tall. He looks pretty cocky, says Christa. Libby shook her head. No, it’s different. It’s confident, Alpha. This is the Very basic Beginning of a wonderfully suspenseful romantic story I just loved and could not put down.
Following the series of the Delta Team comes the Open Skies flight attendants the queens and there kings, make sure you fasten your seatbelts setting down mild turbulence, may have strong wings but making time to arrive in schedule welcome to the redeye. We meet Mack aka Kraft recently left the Delta Team to work for his ex boss jake in IT programming, after his parents left to retire in Florida with the neighbours he gradually brought the place and made it his own the only thing missing was a tall, blonde beauty that he was introduced at Destiny and Trent wedding and his team mate Jason Nelson aka Hatch who now lives with Libby. Flight attendant Christa Boyce finished her degree level in economies but didn't have enough money to pay for Law school and ending up with Open Skies airlines with her best friends .One date with Mack has change Christa for the better with of course how and downs the story begins.Highly recommended reading loved the characters and romance and mystery and action packed
I really struggled with the situation with Mack's neighbour. The neighbour is a young woman who is a family friend and she has a key to Mack's place. She pops over and cooks for Mack and often does his laundry while he's out. Even though Mack was an idiot and didn't realise the neighbour was infatuated with him; for me, the worst part is a grown man letting or even encouraging a young woman do basic domestic duties for him. What a man child.
Christa was good but Mack has some red flags. I quite liked how Christa handled the difficult situations and removed herself, instead of staying around and accepting less than she deserved.
Also, I know it's not meant to be taken seriously but it's quite ridiculous what these former military men get away with in a civilian capacity. This in terms of them responding instead of actual law enforcement.
Becca Jameson did it again with her new book “Redeye,” the second book in the Open Skies series. I could not put this book down until I was finished wanting to know what will happen next. Christa and Mack go on a blind date and the heat between these two after a kiss and there reactions towards each other let’s say hot. When Christa was moving into a single apartment there was a major mess up. So Mack decides to let her stay with him. That’s when it really starts to get interesting. Picture a neighbor who is let’s say really interested in Mack and what happens between her , Tina, and Christa. Nope t only that how blind Mack is to the situation. I was hooked from the beginning. I highly recommend this book.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.
Christa is an air stewardess with open skies and is set up on a date with Mack - a friend of a friend. Mack is older, a Dom and is worried that Christa is far to vanilla and innocent. Cue misunderstandings and an unrequited love which gives us our story. When things take a serious, life threatening turn at work for Christa, will these two put the misunderstanding aside and go for what they want?
I thoroughly enjoyed the second edition to this series. Even more so than the first of I’m honest. The action at the end was brilliant. I loved seeing these two working out their differences, and of course the bedroom action was hot!!
When they first met, Mack and Christa had an instant connection. However, since Christa is shy, Mack made a presumption about her. Then everything went downhill. Quickly. I really enjoyed this story and I loved Christa. Being shy, I can absolutely understand how difficult it can be to put yourself forward in situations. However, Mack, as a Dominant, should have known better than to close off communication to Christa, especially when he knows how shy she is. Throw in a neighbour that Mack is completely blind to and things are damaged almost beyond repair. My only real complaint is that I would have liked to witness the confrontation between Mack and the neighbour.
Mack is convinced that Christa is vanilla and maybe even a virgin. He's a kinky dominant so that's a problem but rather than discussing it with her he runs hot and cold as he tries to control his urges. She's confused and frustrated. When his neighbor starts causing problems she leaves rather than discussing things with him. They both come across as immature and it was borderline too much when she left. I'm not sure how much more of it I could have handled. After that, things got better but they did drag along a bit. I mostly liked the characters and the story resolved well which kept this at 4 stars and not 3.5.
It was a good book and excellently written by Becca Jameson. There was a group of Airline Stewardess that lived together and worked for the same airlines . They had some that worked for the night shift which they called the Redeye. One girl dated a man that worked for a computer service that had been in the Armey in Delta service. there was 4 of the group that worked together That had in been in the same group in the Armey together. They were all friends one stewardess fell for one of the computer service. Thanks for a good book, James Swack
Another steamy but suspenseful book by Becca Jameson. I loved this book and it had me hooked. Mack thinks Christa is innocent, well extremely innocent, and one thing leads to another and she becomes his roomate. However, they both want more. This book has heat, misunderstandings, and danger. From a delusional neighbor to danger with the airline, can Christa and Mack come out on the other side safe?
This is the second book in the series and has Christa and Mack getting a story. They meet at their friends wedding and they dance. This leads to a date as they are both attracted to each other. Then through a mixup leads to them becoming roommates. But as they get closer a misunderstanding and miscommunication could lead to a stop of their romance. Will they work it out? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Redeye is the second book of Becca Jameson’s Open Skies series. This is Christa and Mack’s story. From there first date the attraction, chemistry and comfort were strong between them. Due to a misunderstanding and lack of communication they almost throw out possible true love. Will Mack be Christa’s hero or zero? This is a beautiful written love story.
Who wouldn’t want to date a hot delta? Met at a wedding...friends dating and then set up on a blind date. How awesome to find someone who’s kiss knocks your socks off! Add in some human trafficking and a red eye flight. Drama is present in this twisty, turny story. Lack of communication and fear of losing the one you love adds to the intrigue.
Each and every time I pick up a Jameson story I am captured! I find myself smiling with her wonderful dialogue, her amazing characters, the plot surrounding them!
Does Christa have her work cut out for her with Mack's next door neighbor, Tina? Will Mack take care of it!
Mack rocked Christa's world so easily! What will happen when he really lets loose?
I absolutely love escaping into Ms. Jameson's pages!!!
I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Absolutely enjoying this new series. Strong Delta men and independent women each with their own stories. A lovely mix. Highly recommend Open Skies series......and of course her other books lol xx
This book was a fantastic escape read!! I love the characters and how they interact! I love how she stands up for herself and doesn't take any crap! Keep up the great work, Becca Jameson!
Excellent romantic suspense in this series. A great read about Mack and Christa, not mention the the plane hijacker and Jack's very possessive next door neighbor. Looking forward to reading the next in this series.
To me, Redeye, the second book in Becca Jameson's Open Skies series, focuses on how a relationship can quickly go wrong even when there is an instant attraction and lots of chemistry. Yes there is some high drama, suspense and danger. Incorrect assumptions and lack of communication seeminly end this romance before it ever really gets off the ground. Mack's whiplash behavior has Crista questioning what he really feels about her despite his declarations to the contrary. Crista may be an introvert but she is not hesitant about standing up for herself. Push her to the br8nk and she will not hold back telling you off. It takes a hostage crisis and rescue for these two to finally get on the same page.
Another excellent book in this series and I’m so glad I happened across these through Susan stokers delta team 3 series
Christa finds herself homeless when the apartment she’s supposed to be renting is double booked. The guy she’s been tentatively seeing, Mack offers her a room for the night and before they know it they have fallen down the rabbit warren.
Between plane related disasters and neighbour/stalker and typical man being dense issues the story follows their story in a very real way. Christa knows her value and when things blow up she rightly takes the higher road. It’s then a story of how can Mack rescue a relationship that he essentially threw away.
The love story is fulfilling and exciting and the book ticks all the boxes for me
This is the second book in the series which gives us Mark and Christa's story. Mark and Christa go on a blind date and really hit it off. (she feels like his kiss knocked her socks off) When there's a mix up with her apartment Mark lets her move in with her. There's a misunderstanding between them thanks to the neighbor that separate's them. Throw in some danger and you have another great book by Becca.
