They’ve been best friends since they were little. Can their relationship survive the secrets one of them has been keeping?

No one believes Matt when he swears he and his roommate are just friends. That probably has something to do with the way he looks at Brandon when he thinks no one is watching and the fact Brandon doesn’t balk whenever Matt teasingly calls him Daddy.

Everything changes when they go home for winter break…

Brandon doesn’t like the feeling that Matt’s pulling away from him. He’s always been the person Matt leaned on when he felt scared and alone, but he’s barely seen his best friend since dropping him off at his mom’s for the break.

They can’t hold out any longer…

Once Brandon forces him to open up, Matt finally admits he wants something more from Brandon. He never expected his friend’s reply to be a mind-blowing kiss. But just being together isn’t enough…

The more Matt reveals, the closer he pushes Brandon to his limits. Will he be able to accept Matt’s need to regress or will that be the secret that destroys their friendship?

Always Together is the second book in The Boys of Talbert Hall, the newest series set in the kinky town of Annandale. If you’re in the mood for the perfect combination of silly, sweet, and spicy, you’re going to love watching Matt try to wiggle his way into Daddy’s heart.

They are best friends like since ever. Sharing a room and driving home together on holidays.
Playfully Matt calls Brandon Daddy when Brandon is in care mode. When they finally start a romantic relationship Matt desperately wants Brandon as his Daddy and it’s only natural for Brandon.

“I’m gonna make it good for you because it’s going to be the last time you have a first time with anyone.”

We can follow them along their road where Matt discovers he needs more from Brandon, where Brandon wants to learn more about Matty and to be the one he needs, even he has doubts.

A sweet, sweet story, one big learning process, and all quite natural. No excessive drama, just kindness, and acceptance. For my pleasure, I would have loved some struggle, but hey it was alright as it was. There is a little background development with family but it was mostly about Brandon and Matt with their roommates who also have a story to tell. (Book #1)
All together a nicely written, sweet, friendly, and caring Daddy, boy slash little journey.

I'm really liking this series about these college guys finding their inner daddy or boy.

I do have to admit that there is always a part of Quinn Ward's books that drags a bit for me. It usually picks up after that but sometimes it's just a little... dull.

We met Jayden and Chase in the first book where they were trying find their way in their new daddy/boy relationship. And it is there that we met Brandon and Matt, two of their roommates, who suddenly started to date after years of friendship.

I thought the transition from friends to lovers between Brandon and Matt felt a little too easy here. There was some hesitation at first on Matt's part, but once he got over that it was like they had been boyfriends for years. And that felt just a bit too unrealistic.

I liked how low angst Quinn Ward writes and I really like how these couples start exploring daddy kink/age play. Matt was not the cute adorable boy that Chase was, but he was still a sweet, but sassy boy. And once Brandon finally learnt to just go with the flow I really liked him too.

This was a really nice, low angst daddy kink book. There is some age play, but it’s not the main focus of the book since Matt was mostly still exploring what he liked.

I received an ARC from GRR in exchange for an honest review.

this was a good book. i like some aspects and didn't like others...
I picked up this book based on the blurb. I'm a sucker for daddies and littles, and with them being the same age, i was intrigued.
Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed.

What I liked:
- The friends to lovers trope lent a level of trust to their relationship. I think matt needed that because it was something he didn't know he had in himself, and I think it would have been hard for him to trust that part of himself with a stranger or even a newish BF.
- Brandon worked hard to accept what he was and what matt was. he wanted to make it work and despite his many hang-ups, he didn't let matt down.
- Hot sexual exploration
- Loved seeing the relationship between Matt and Chase and how they bonded over both being littles, even though they had different aspects of it.
- I loved how Brandon reached out to Jayden as well.

What I didn't like...
- The conversations and the feelings were all over the place. I don't know how to explain it. some things didn't make sense.
Brandon was hot and cold, wanting to learn and then mocking littles in the next breathe
Jayden was helpful one minute and angry the second.
Matt's character was a bit...meh.
maybe I should have read book 1 before reading this, because the transition from best friends to lovers was not as smooth as I wanted it to be.

Honestly my favorite part of this troy was Chase, and I think ill read his book because he's just too cute. hopefully book 1 reads better than book 2.

was pretty interesting in the beginning, but it felt like the inciting incident was this big huge event and then the story didn't hold up after that. felt like it lacked structure in the later chapters and i started skimming. also found a bunch of spelling and continuity errors, where in some cases the author wrote Brandon instead of Matt, when it's clear they mean't Matt.

for example:
"I was officially losing my shit. While I was proud of Brandon for telling me that he was curious about being little, it was just strange."
this is the first sentence in a chapter written from Brandon's POV, so it doesn't make sense for him to be talking about himself in third person, and Matty was the one who talked about being interested in being little.

there were also spelling mistakes, particularly involving your and you're. just feel like this could have benefited from a good editor.

i try not to get too nit-picky when i'm reading because i prefer to just immerse myself into the story but in this case it was distracting and kept pulling me out of what was going on in the story itself. it also felt like there wasn't enough of a build-up regarding the ddlb part of the relationship. i have no doubt that the tension was there but i struggled to actually find it in the writing and i ended up having to just pretend that the tension was more intense than it was for the rest of the story to keep my attention.

this was a great concept, just feels like i was reading a draft instead of a final copy.

Brandon and Matt have been best friends since childhood. They are now college roommates.
During winter break back home the pair discovers their attraction is mutual and decide to go for it..

I loved how they were together. Sweet and sexy while navigating the changes in their relationship on more than one level..

I liked the blended the timeliness from book one and we get to see thing from other points of view.

Always Together is a wonderfully told best friends to lovers romance that can be read as a stand alone but for me, as I already knew the other characters involved, it was enhanced by reading Rooming Together (book one of the series) where you read Jayden and Chase's story.
This book does begin a little before book one and it starts with Matt and Brandon going home from college for winter break and discovering/allowing a new side of their relationship to develop. It's really sweet how they think it's a whole new thing and their parents have kind of been expecting it with how close they've been for so long. They explore another dimension of themselves as well, with Brandon being called Daddy and it surprising him how much he likes it. What really grabbed my heart though was how reticent Matt was to be Matty and really allow himself to be little in a way that Brandon was not expecting. The writing brings out the emotions that both men feel and the insecurities that they both have, whether they can be enough for their partner as both a boyfriend and as a Daddy/boy.
What truly helps them is the friendship and support that they get from Jayden and Chase who have been going through the same changes of relationship but in a different way. The connections that they build and the world that they explore is done very well. It's a story made up of insecurities and fear but perfectly balanced by love, acceptance and friendship in abundance, with each other and their suite mates.
I am truly enjoying this series and the world that Quinn has created in Annandale. Definitely a recommended read.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Cute, but nothing special.

Started out fluffy and sweet - friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes so i was intrigued, although it felt a little too insta love for my taste.

Definitely enjoyed the first book of the series more. This one fell a little flat for me. Not much was actually happening, just a lot of inner monologues.
Skimmed the last chapter, because by then I was bored.
The smut is barely present and overall forgettable.

2.5 out of 5 stars.

CW and tropes (spoilers):
- friends to lovers
- college setting
- daddy kink and light age play (no abdl)
- domestic discipline
- frotting
- strict top/bottom
POV: dual, 1st person

I love a good F2L story, almost as much as I enjoy a ‘Daddy’ one.

‘Always Together’ is absolutely NOT a standalone. If you don’t read ‘Rooming Together’ with Jayden & Chase first, you’ll miss a lot.

“AT” is a cute read, but by the end there is a lot left unsettled between Brandon & Matt.

Always Together is a sweet friends to lovers book with two characters that will make your heart melt and a storyline that keeps you invested right until the very end. I think the author did a very nice job building up to them becoming more than friends and even the way they have to learn to respect and balance their friendship to something more. Plus, I loved how well this daddy kink was written. I would recommend this to anyone who wants something that isn't entirely fluff but doesn't really hurt either.

Brandon and Matt were so wrapped up in each other before anything even happened. It's really a surprise that they aren't a romantic couple before they are a romantic couple. I mean, they are pretty much each other's other half.

I like how Chase and Jayden are brought into this one to help Brandon and Matt figure everything out. I like seeing a new Daddy figure out who he is.

This series is good

These guys are learning how to admit what they like and how to go about living that way. This book had a heck of a lot of editing errors which didn't stop my enjoyment of it.

I really enjoyed this book paired with the first. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much without having read book one and understanding the relationship beforehand. This series delves a bit deeper into the questions about littles that are usually not discussed, which was really interesting to me.

After reading the first book, this one was a given. Matt always seemed like fun and following his journey was a very sweet read. A bratty and cuddly little that just needed to find his place.

Chase is as ever adorable, Jayden the best Daddy and Brandon a reluctant one but slowly warming up to the idea.
The book felt like it went a bit too much back and forth and what seems to be a thing with this authors book, it ended too abruptly. The story didn't feel like it had reached its proper ending, even if we keep looking in to them all in future books.

Cuando leí el primer libro de esta serie hace unos años, no tenía planeado leerme este, pero años después aquí estoy y estoy encantada!

Matt y Brandon me encantaron.

Holy crap! Always Together is a freaking awesome friends to lovers romance. This Quinn Ward book, the second in The Boys of Talbert Hall series, is even better than I could have ever anticipated.

In the first book, Rooming Together, we met Matt and Brandon and had a sense of their relationship. Now we get the details. (If you haven't read Jayden and Ash's story yet, make sure you do so after reading this book. It is a sexy, delicious age play romance.)

Seriously, I love everything about this book. First there's the longing and pining. There's cartoons and "daddy." Then there's the confessions and the start of a riveting romance with all the complications involved.

The friends aspect is wonderfully established early on. College roommates and life long best friends, there's so much history between the two. They grew up together. Their families celebrate the holidays together. Basically, there's a lot to lose if things go wrong for these two. It's truly beautiful how close they are. And, damn, I love the parents.

And then there's the Daddy aspect. Oh...I just love this. The two were clearly in these roles before, without even acknowledging it. But with the acknowledgement of it, and all that's involved in the lifestyle, I fell madly in love with these men. I love the way they explore, learning what's involved with a Daddy/boy relationship. And the emotions are so well written.

And omg, when they do get together, they are so damn hot together. I love the small little changes with them, and all the steamy moments.

Always Together is one of those special college romances that I knew early on would be added to my re-read list. I love every single moment with these men. Quinn Ward is an amazing writer who continues to impress me with every one of their books.

This is a really sweet story. Brandon and Matty are so sweet. They are childhood friends and are best friends. Brandon. Has always felt protective of Matty and Matty has always looked to Brandon for guidance and calm. It is only in their college years that their feelings overtake them for them to speak up.

The author does a good job in taking us on their journey in this relationship. Matty falls into being Daddy’s boy with ease but knows he needs more. Brandon loves being in charge and the power of being Matty’s Daddy. Their issues are learning to share and respect each other’s feelings without losing themselves or their friendship. Their journey of childhood friends - best friends - boyfriends - Daddy/boy to Daddy/little while trying to maintain their friendship is interesting and the author did a good with this.

I am rating this *** because of the editing. GEEZ! Lost pronouns, missing verbs, grammatical errors, and basic misspellings all work to interrupt the flow of the story.

This is a good series so far and I want to read the upcoming books. Let’s hope the editing rates up there with the writing.

Always Together by author Quinn Ward is the second book in the Boys of Talbert Hall. This is my first time reading this series and I was not lost at all. This story is written in dual POV. I do feel that style was underdone in this story. I felt it was more Brandon in places than Matt, but overall like that style for this book it worked well.

Matt is a poor college student. His mom works all the time, and he hates the times when he has to go home to an empty house. He has a crush on his best friend Brandon but scared to tell him. He never wants to lose the one person who has always been there for him.

Brandon is a rich kid with a heart of gold. He considers Matt to be the other half of himself. He always includes him in holidays, and never ever has considered a life that didn’t include his best friend. When they both become more, they have to decide if they can be both friends and lovers. Also, if their kinks can mesh together.

I love a good friend to lovers’ story. This one is a great story that has all the feels in it. I really want more from this series in the future as well.

Matt and Brandon have been best friends since they were little kids. Now they are in college and they’re both keeping their romantic feelings for each other a secret because they don’t want to ruin their friendship. During winter break they finally open up and their relationship evolves from friends to lovers.
I think that friends to lovers is such a fun trope, definitely one of my favorites! And it was so well done in this book. What I liked the most, apart from the amazing chemistry between Matt and Brandon, was the fact that they had to work on their relationship even though they’ve known each other for years and were in love. Matt’s desires were not what Brandon expected and it took him some time to figure things out but it felt realistic and I really loved reading about their journey.
Wonderful book, great addition to the series! 5/5 stars

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Fascinating look into a different dynamic

This was a fascinating book. I’m not familiar with the Daddy/little dynamic so it was interesting to see how the characters interacted with each other. The fact that Matt and Brandon were still learning their way meant that the author gave a lot of information that I don’t think would have been included in a book with an already practicing couple. It was nice to see the way they handled the obstacles and how they navigated the new path their relationship was taking while struggling with their own doubts. The book featured a couple from the first book prominently and also made mention of a couple of related series that the author has written. It wrapped the story up well but left enough open with another couple that we can hope that their book comes next. This review is an honest and unbiased reflection of my thoughts after reading an advanced readers copy of the book.

It’s been a few months since I read Rooming Together (book 1), so I didn’t immediately remember the characters and events when they popped up. Always Together takes place at the same time as RT so there were a couple of scenes that ‘repeated’ but from another perspective. There were parts that seemed to drag a bit and parts I didn’t really find necessary.

I did like both Brandon and Matt. While I did enjoy Brandon’s uncertainty, I thought it carried on for a bit too long. I enjoyed Brandon & Matt learning from Jayden & Chase. Overall, while it was a bit longer than necessary, I did enjoy their story. I would have given 4-4.25 stars but there were too many editing/grammatical errors that that threw me out of the story (wrong/missing words).

*****
POV... multi first person

Standalone or series... book 2 in series wouldn’t suggest as standalone

Quinn Ward does daddy kink well!!

Brandon and Matt have been best friends their whole lives and are now college roommates both having feelings for the other but too scared at first to let the other one know in case it ruins their friendship. Finally breaking through that barrier should make everything better right? Going on a journey together with their suite mates and fellow daddy/boy Jayden and Chase they discover what being in that kind of relationship means for them. Reading a Quinn Ward book isn't just enjoying a break from your own mundane reality it is a trip into the life of kink and how it isn't ever a one size fits all for every relationship that is one of my favorite things about discovering this author! This book was fun and sweet and I am looking forward to reading more in this series hopefully we will get Daniel and Zachs story soon!

I have really enjoyed Quinn’s Boys of Talbert Hall series and the interconnected stories around the town! Matt and Brandon intrigued me from Jayden and Chase’s story. I love how we got their perspective of their roommates and also got to see what was actually happening with Matt and Brandon from events in their story. I can’t wait to find out more about their other suite mates!

Matt and Brandon’s story was unique in them going from figuring out how to transition from best friends to lovers and then also figure out where they fall on the Daddy/boy spectrum. Matt’s personality is sometimes childlike and Brandon has always kind of cared for him to make sure he’s okay, so it’s no surprise that he falls on the little spectrum. Them finding a balance while still figuring out their relationship is a journey and I loved it! Definitely recommended!

Always Together was a fun, steamy exploration of the Daddy/little kink. I've never read a romance novel that went this far into the kink, but it was really enjoyable.

Matt and Brandon are best friends turned lovers, and it is so sweet to see how much they mean to each other. Matt was actually unaware himself of the littles kink, so it was interesting to get to explore that kink with him, though at times it did feel like an info dump, it mostly flowed well.

I also liked that their friends and family were supportive, but the true strength of this book is how much love they have for each other. Brandon wants Matt to explore his kinks, and makes Matt feel safe enough to do so, and it's really touching. And their chemistry is so hot!

This was a really romantic and steamy m/m read, and I'd definitely read more from this series!

Always Together is the second book in the Boys of Talbert Hall series. It can be read as a standalone as it runs along the same timeframe as the first book, but should be read with the first for a full picture of all four guys - Brandon, Matt, Jayden, and Chase.

Brandon and Matt have been best friends for years and are roommates in college. Brandon is always taking care of Matt and neither want to ruin their friendship until Matt teasingly starts calling him Daddy. I really enjoyed their relationship. It was very realistic with both characters trying to figure out their feelings and their dynamic as they went along. I liked that they became so close to their other roommates - Jayden and Chase - as it helped them discover their wants and needs and to see some of the differences in the Daddy/ little lifestyle.

Would recommend this series.

I was looking forward to this one ever since I finished reading the first book, and I was not disappointed. I loved the long standing friendship between Matt and Brandon evolving into boyfriends into a Daddy/boy into a Daddy/little one. I really appreciated how Quinn took time to explain that not every Daddy/boy or Daddy/little relationship was the same and that helped Brandon as he struggled to accept things. I think that Brandon's struggles also made the book more realistic to me since it added a layer to Brandon's character and I loved seeing how bratty Matt was both in and out of little space. The scenes between the two were really steamy. I loved seeing Jayden and Chase/Ash's story from Brandon and Matt's perspective since a large part (if not the whole thing) of the book takes place during the same time. I would recommend this book.

I was given the chance to preview the book and couldn’t wait to get started! I loved the story and enjoyed seeing how Matt and Brandon’s relationship developed. It was refreshing to see how Brandon struggled with their evolving dynamic. While being a caretaker came naturally to him and he took to being called Daddy easily, he was challenged by the mechanics and the accoutrements that come with having a boyfriend who is a little. I appreciated how Jayden and Chase from the first book in the series were incorporated into the story and how integral they were in helping both Brandon and Matt in adapting to their new roles. I’m interested to see if the third set of roommates, Daniel and Zach, get their own story and, if so, how their relationship will develop.
