His late brother's fiancée was pregnant with a Saxon heir. Yet Amy Wright thought she could just leave town?
Not even the black sheep of the mighty Saxons would allow that. So Heath Saxon propositioned avoid illegitimacy for her baby by marrying him. Convincing her wasn't easy—until he showed her what a night as his wife would be like.
But Amy has a very big secret about the Saxon baby. About just who the father really is.…
USA Today Bestselling author Tessa Radley considers herself a reader at heart and discovered books at an early age. Growing up in a world surrounded by Nancy Drew, Ken and Flicka, Cherry Ames, Anne of Green Gables, Bilbo Baggins and the ponies of the Pullein-Thompson sisters, she eventually moved on to reading everything she could lay her hands on.
Tessa loves writing books with a little edge and a lot of emotion—the kind she loves to read. Her favourite kind of characters are those caught in seemingly insurmountable circumstances and Tessa wrestles all day long with how to get them in and out of those impossible situations.

Humpf. If you've been reading Tessa Radley's 'Saxon Brides' series from Silhouette, then you will probably want to read "Pregnancy Proposal". If you haven't, meh.
Amy's fiance, the eldest Saxon son, died recently and her emotions have been rather unstable ever since. Now she's pregnant and SO ashamed. She's always been the good girl...what will people think? What will she do?
Heath Saxon has been in love with Amy for so long, but hid his feelings because she was in love with his brother. When he gets the chance to marry Amy to give her a father for her Saxon child, will he be able to get past the feeling of betraying his brother?
Amy is a weak, whiny, spineless twit. I found myself wanting to throw this book against the wall several times to try and erase her waffling and whining. And Heath wasn't a whole lot better. He loved her, knew his brother cheated on her, and didn't do a whole hell of a lot to protect his 'beloved'. This author can do so much better than this.
The book was good, almost a slowburn. It took me time to warmup to heroine. I didn’t like her in the beginning. But hero certainly made up to that. He was considerate caring and too much in love with her. I liked how the book didn’t reveal all the secrets at once, so that it gave us a chance to understand main characters and their actions. I anticipated more angst when they reveled their secret to family. Epilogue was sweet. Recommended.
I expected more! I found this book a disappointment and although it was, I didn't dislike it. it just seemed poorly written and rushed. There were parts that didn't make any sense, like her hiding the fact that the baby was not Rolands, like why wouldn't the hero be suspicious of that, it doesn't make sense? It also seemed unconnected, you couldn't really feel the emotions of the characters and you lost that emotional connection which is so important in books. Meh.
Loved the New Zealand setting. I need to find and read the first two books in the series and then the last one - Megan's story. Heath's reputation was not earned by him alone but he was happy to accept it. One or should I say two things bugged me though. "Mom", no it should be MUM, "Cotton Candy" it is CANDY FLOSS here. When I read a story set in a particular country I expect the author to use the right phrases for things as used in that particular country.
Did not like it, I was annoyed that I was in the dark of what happened the night Roland died for most of the book. I did not like that for a silhouette desire I the reader was left guessing most of the book whether hero was the real father or not (I assumed he was but neither hero or heroine let on that there was night 2 months before, they only vaguely would recall in their memories something happened). I thought heroine was pretty awful she didn't want the baby and even considered adoption, I hated how mean she was to the hero. I liked the hero and that he knew he loved heroine from time she was 16 wasn't afraid to have feelings or acknowledge them to himself. P.

i like this kind of plot very much but the story was as if scattered..as if the author had no definite ideas. i also did not feel connected 2 the characters. their feelings did not seem genuine
