A powerful witch, four devoted men, and a curse so wicked it could ruin them all.
With two curses broken and another one knocking at her dorm room door, Willow Oliver can’t seem to catch a break. Is the constant string of unfortunate events just a normal case of bad luck or something else?
A week is all she needs to give the Reperio Stone enough time to recharge so she can locate her mother, but her plan is railroaded when everything takes a turn for the worst.
With a man she loves being held by the darkness, and the unknown whereabouts of her mom, Willow has a choice to make—one that could change things forever.
Seamless transition from book to book is brilliantly done. Just the right amount of angst with a build up of so many emotions. This book started to tie in some really beautiful relationships between the characters. Things happened that I totally didn't see coming. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it. Some parts I found a little slow, but seriously I still read the book in less than two days, cause it was all relevant and important. I really enjoy the way this book weaves in some normal among the crazy. It did end with me crying... But no spoilers and not telling what type of tears.
Wicked Magic left me speechless and wanting more! This book was everything you would expect and so much more. A lot of steamy and romantic moments occurred too! This book kept me coming back for more and I didn’t want to stop reading it. I was sad when I finished it, but definitely a MUST read!!!!
Willow and her guys are back. They have a lot to handled. School is starting back, they have to find her parents, Willow has become a klutz, and something is seriously wrong with Silas. Is this the next curse?
I eagerly awaited this book. And let me tell you what. I am anxiously awaiting the next. Luna Pierce 100% didn't disappoint. The love in this book and the intensity. I have to get the next one ASAP. I am excited to see what happens.
Story is well written with characters you love, or love to hate. A few ups and downs inthis one, with an unexpected plot twist, or two. I hate that Willow either believes in herself or hates herself, but that is real life. I hope to see her grow into herself more in the next book.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Willow is coming into her powers and embracing all that she learns. Poor Silas IYKYK my heart hurts for him and for Wills. Well onto the next book
Luna Pierce raises the bar with every book in this series and continues to blow me away with this story! From beginning to end I was completely consumed. There is something so uniquely special about Willow, Deghan, Cam, Sydney and Silas. The connection they all share is so magical, so strong, that it is completely captivating.
This book was full of action, mystery, danger and also laughs. Each character brings such a unique element and depth to the story I always felt utterly invested in every single aspect of the story. Whether it’s Willow’s curse, her relationships with the boys or her friends, or anything else that may be happening I was always enraptured.
Luna Pierce so flawlessly created this brilliant storyline and characters that only continue to grow and flourish. There is certainly never a dull moment. And as much as I may try to guess what will happen next, I am always surprised with what comes.
I am wholeheartedly invested in this story and these characters! I feel like I am taking this journey with them as they go. Experiencing the pain, the love, the anger and the lust. Experiencing the ups and the downs, with every second being beyond worth it.
Luna Pierce has created a masterpiece that will always have a piece of my heart <3
This series just keeps getting better and better!!!!!
This is my favourite book of the series so far despite wanting to throw my iPad at the cliffhanger ending. Wicked Magic made me jump up and down with excitement and then ugly cry when it was finished.
Wicked Magic seems to focus more on the relationships between Willow and each of her men and the next curse almost takes a back seat which I really enjoyed. You get a small glimpse into Cam’s family life outside of the academy and there are some revelations about Sydney’s family as well which are huge.
I am so glad that this series is reverse harem because I can’t choose between Deghan, Cam, Silas and Sydney and I honestly don’t want to.
I am really hoping book four is coming out soon because I desperately need to know what happens next
I will admit, it was a slow beginning for me. It could've been me or it could've been it takes a bit before the action drew me in.
However, once things picked up, I couldn't put it down. Luna has done it again. The dynamic of Willows friends, the energy from those girls and even the characters paths are going... makes me appreciate my own friends.
The guys: I still love that each one offers something specific to Willow to also balance her.
Definitely another book that offers small twists and turns that you are not able to fully predict what will happen next. I cant wait to read the 4th one!
Oh my heart. This book has dragged my poor heart through the ringer. One minute all is well and then things fall apart and just when you think can’t take anymore the cycle starts all over again. Willow is still trying to find her mom and break the curse but life isn’t on board for her to make any progress. Action scenes and a mystery will keep your mind intrigued and there are some pretty steamy scenes to go with them. So well written it brings all the emotions to the surface. The first two books of this series are good, I feel like this one takes you to a whole new level!
Luna is at it again, sucking you into the world of Willow and her four delectable men. Deghan will give you all the swoon-worthy feels. Cam will have you wishing he was your own personal chef. Sydney’s intensity will speak straight to your soul! And Silas, well I call dibs, and none of y’all can have him.
Now be forewarned, before you curse the author for leaving you with the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, she has 2 more books to write, and I NEED her to write those books. So keep your voodoo dolls and spell books packed away. There is more to come. Just enjoy the ride!
What can I say, wicked magic left me wanting for more. Poor Willow just can't get a break. Losing her mom and being cursed. With the help of her 4 mates, she has to find a way to break the curse and bring her mom back. This book is full of mystery, action, and suspense. I just couldn't put this book down. Can't wait to read the next chapter in Willows journey. Luna Pierce, you're an amazing author
I wanted to really like this series cause it's my favorite subtrope of why choose paranormal academy, but it's very much giving one of the guys is more important to get than the others. Like Silas is the love of her life and the other guys are just her friends who she happens to kiss occasionally. Idk great plot i think but in terms of the relationships it's a no.
"Wicked magic" is the third book in the Harper Shadow Academy series and picks up right where the second book ended. Willow and her guys still can't seem to find some peace and quiet in their lives. There are still curses to be conquered, people to be found, realms to be repaired and relationships to develop. Luckily they have each other... right?
For me, "Wicked magic" is absolutely the best book of this series so far. The story really flowed, and I was anxious to see what would happen next every time I turned a page or finished a chapter. I like how the men's characters start to play a more important role in the story and how they all seem to add something important to Willow's life. The tiny snippets we get to reveal more of the bigger story behind Willow and her family are intriguing, and I'm curious to see where this will lead. I believe the bonus chapter from Silas' perspective, which you can download at the end of this book, only adds to the series so I was really happy to find it!
Best book of the series so far; I'm hoping the next one will give me the same!
This book was better than the last. The plot thickens. I have a few issues:
1. Why was Silas unwilling to share what a Malachi was when he and Willow had already been intimate and exchanged "I love you's"?
2. Why didn't anyone think to check Willow's burnt hand? Even Willow herself didn't check it. She suspected something was wrong, but she kept ignoring it.
3. Why so much inner monologue? I read another series (offshoot of this one) by this author and it was the same. Someone asks a question or does something. Then a character does pages of inner monologue until you forget the question or what happened. It's annoying.
All that being said, I do like the series and want to see what happens next. The characters are getting closer and I appreciate that it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. I like that the plot is progressing even though it is happening rather slowly.
I really like this book, but I’ll be honest that I didn’t like it as well as I did the first 2 books in the series. It’s still really good, but there was so much unnecessary (in my opinion) secret keeping between the guys and Willow. These are things she needed to know. I also would have liked more story about the professor that helps the baddies. I won’t say anything more because I don’t want to spoil anything. Maybe I’ll get that in the next book. I will say I wasn’t expecting that exact cliff hanger at the end. That’s one of the reasons this is still a 4 star read for me even if I don’t feel the same about it as books 1 & 2.
This is my favorite of the series yet! And not just because we finally get some spice. This installment includes more twists and turns and some true advancement of the plot as the good vs evil battle commences.
Unfortunately, it also ends in heartbreak 😭 I'm positive Luna is going to fix it, but in the meantime I'll be in a corner crying for my girl as her world is rocked once again... Thankfully her men are there to lift her up as is a surprise as the final cliffhanger. I can not wait for book 4.
The audio was fantastic once again. Vanessa Moyen is amazing and I loved this listen.
Thank you Audio Sorceress and Luna Pierce for this advanced copy!
I wanna scream right now. This was so freaking good but I’m so mad at the same time. Willow’s obsession with finding her parents was driving me insane this whole book. Who cares about your parents, a father you’ve never met and a mother who you spent 13 years being a caretaker for when she didn’t need it and then she DISAPPEARED with no notice? Miss me with that bs. There was some really shocking stuff that happened in this book and I am FURIOUS about one thing specifically which better be resolved in the next book or I’m not gonna be okay
Don't get me wrong. I'm still shocked and surprised, making it a good read. Willow is still figuring out things about herself and her and the guys. Which is the fun and interesting part of the book.
However, I got bored several times because her became repetitive in her thoughts. I'm not talking about getting us up to date. It just felt like they needed words to fill out the book to extend it instead of shortening the series at this point.
Perform a life saving spell and someone disappears; I mean why not? Poor Willow seems to have the worst luck. But everything happens for a reason, right? This third installment has you wishing Willow good luck and wondering what is going on with her guy(s); I am still leery of some characters, wondering what their true intentions are and exactly where they fit into the mix. I am enjoying this series and where it is going.
Wow. Willow’s powers are growing immensely. I love the whole storyline of this book. The ending was very sad as I thought that the four of them would go through life together. But excited to read the next two books following. Maybe there is a true happy ending. The immense connections that she has with them is truly what fuels her powers. But I wonder why she’s drawn to those four?
i am so confused?? i don't understand what's going on, the plot is not fleshed out enough and everything seems to be a happy coincidence. i'm constantly rereading parts because the sentences make no sense and i can't follow the story. the books are short so i'll keep reading to the end, but i wouldn't recommend the series.
I am loving this series. From one plot turn after the other. Like what?! Way to leave me hanging making sure I need to read the next one. Like for real what the heck happened to Silas?! And where did the mom come from and who was the fourth person?!?! lol well on to the next book.
Nope nah nada my poor poor silas just nope. This book made me emotional the pain and the tears Omg this was beautiful. And what a revelation about Sydney, I didn't see that coming at all
Another solid installment of this series! I love that we get even more relationship growth from our group throughout this book. I also really enjoyed the couple of twists that I didn't see coming! This series continues to be adorable, and slightly mysterious
There were things that just all of a sudden happened at the end of the book that would have been more significant and impactful if it had been built up throughout the book. A bit disappointing but I'm probably going to finish the series because I need to know what happens lol.
