S. Ramakrishnan
(Tamil: எஸ்.ராமகிருஷ்ணன்; born 1966)

is a noted Tamil author and Tamil film dialogue writer. He was born in Mallankinaru, Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu.

Ramakrishnan is noted for his column Thunai Ezhuthu in the magazine Ananda Vikatan. His short stories have been translated in German, French, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

His other works include Kadhaa Vilaasam, Desaandri, and Alainthen Tirindhen.

மோனேயின் ஓவியத்தை ஆழ்ந்து ரசிக்கும் ஒருவர் அந்த ஓவியங்களின் உன்னத ஆற்றலை உணர்ந்து நிச்சயம் தன்னை மீறிக் கண்ணீர் விடவே செய்வார்.

சீனாவில் ஒரு மன்னன் ஓவியத்தின் வழியாகவே இயற்கைக் காட்சிகளை சிறுவயதில் இருந்து அறிந்து வந்தான். பெரியவன் ஆகிப் பயணம் போகும்போது கண்ணில்பட்ட இயற்கைக் காட்சிகள் எதுவும் அவனை வசீகரிக்கவில்லை. ஓவியத்தில் உள்ளது போல இயற்கை வெளியே அழகாகயில்லை என்று அவன் நினைத்து நினைத்து வருந்தியதாகச் சொல்கிறார்கள்.

மோனேயின் ஓவியங்களின் வழியே இயற்கையை அறிந்து கொண்டவர்களுக்கும் இதே அனுபவம் ஏற்படும் என்பதே நிஜம்.

Art lovers will enjoy this book. The book is introductory to some of the artists S Ramakrishnan Sir enjoyed. He talks about their works, movies based on their works, philosophies involved in art, life of the artist and so on. Not in-depth in writing, but the topics which Ramakrishnan Sir touched in this book are rare in the Tamil literature world. Would recommend it for beginners.
