Roman koji pokazuje kako nas materijalizam i brzi način života može odvojiti od pravih životnih vrijednosti: porodice, prijatelja, ljubavi...
Lik Jael je hiperboliziran do te mjere da nekad ide na nerve.
Pravim pauzu od ove autorice, jer me i roman Život je lak, ne brini, nije posebno fascinirao.

Sedma knjiga koju sam pročitala 2021. godine je "Žao mi je, čekaju me" Anjes Marten -Ligan. Jael je djevojka čiju životnu priču pratimo. U životu je prošla nekoliko faza: od sportski odjevene, ležerne i emotivne djevojke do elegantne ledene kraljice poslovnog svijeta... Da li se moramo odlučiti za samo jedno životno polje i da li se druga polja istovremeno međusobno isključuju? Porodica? Karijera? Radoholičarenje? Uživanje u životu? Ili se, radi boljeg funkcionisanja moramo posvetiti i nečem drugom i sve izbalansirati? Ocjena? 🤔 Tri plus ⭐⭐⭐

I think there will be spoilers!!!
First to say 2 stars just because of Yael's family, I love them.
The book ended in a cliffhanger, but from the last sentence one can guess what happened.
I won't tell you what it's about, just read the synopsis. I get to the point right away.
At first I didn't like Yael too much. She is ambitious, but the fact that she neglected her family, did not eat and took sleeping pills, I did not really like. I mean i was more sad that i can't be with her and talk to her etc.
Then Marc appeared, an old friend and apparently the person she was in love with. He disappeared 10 years ago, that is, he left and did not contact them (Yael and the rest of the team). She was broken and she thought he was dead, he hurt her terribly.
Something started between them and I was lake, aaaaaa how sweet and i was cheering for them.
Then he became one big 0 of a man.
1. He was jealous because she had clients about her job, as a translator as far as I can remember, and the because she stayed longer at work and she couldn't let him know, and she pointed out that they would see each other around half past nine, not exactly at half past nine.
2. Then he was talking about how she hurt him, and buddy those 10 years you didn't answer? You forgot that? He was like, "I've already apologized to you for that."
3. Since I have read in my mother tongue, I will now translate for you the worst possible thing I could read in this book. She left him because they had different views on life and he obviously couldn't stand her way of life, he told her this:
“Whore! But how could I allow myself that? With the worst possible bitch. So that's the way it is with you, you take it, use it and throw it away? You killed the one I knew, you buried her, you turned her to ashes. But who do you imagine you are? ” He waved his hand away and looked at me contemptuously, with disgust. I didn't look away. Control yourself.
"Do you see yourself? What do you look like on those heels? You’re usually a brat having fun imagining he’s in the backyard with the big ones. You allow yourself to bring assess someone's life and consider someone a fool, and you are worth nothing yourself. You don't respect anything, not even yourself. You're ready to sell yourself for that shitty job of yours.
I should have figured that out when I saw you that day coming out of a meeting and competing with those guys obsessed with hunting. You are cold and empty. You're completely hollow. You're dead. There is nothing in you. "

You are the one who killed the person she was, you!!
Her job is to work with great and famous people, make deals and work for what she wants. What do you think how does she ended up being the head of the agency in the end?! You piece of shit!
And worst of all, their entire team was on his side.
And that she would eventually go to him to apologize and beg for forgiveness, and he says she destroyed everything and eventually fucked her off.
Even her sister was more on his side about it.
Fuck this, I'm changing this to 1 star rating, just because I love the way this author writes and the other two books I read are perfect!

Bukvalno je prenela svu streščinu sa posla na mene tokom čitanja. Dokaz da nam je u životu neophodan samo balans da bi se osećali ispunjeno, a i da se može preterati po pitanju ambicioznosti. Po meni je kraj nedovršen jer bih volela da znam šta se sa njima desilo. Lagano letnje štivo

Žali Bože novca za knjigu i sat vremena mog života koji odoše u nepovrat. Zaklopila sam je i sklonila.
Stil pisanja kao da je škrabala neka 15godišnjakinja koja mašta o stilu življenja Mirande, Sex and the sity. Seriju volim.. Ali mi je knjiga smešna.
