"Even if things are harder when people know about us, we'll be okay, because we've got each other."Even though the initial "gay panic" from the second book is resolved, Nick and Charlie still feel a little cautious about revealing their relationship.

Oh, this was such a freaking fun one. I am so invested in Nick and Charlie living their best lives that I feel like I would be genuinely devastated if the author throws a tragic twist into the midst - .
"Nick and Charlie! Are the two of you coming, or-Oh. You're being gay. Good job. Carry on."
“It really surprised me how many people are still homophobic.”
“The bullying was really bad and I started to believe what they were saying.”
“I can’t believe all of this happened because you gave me a love bite.”
