Are you interested in learning the ancient art of Macramé to decorate your home, make a gift for your friends or to sell your creations? If yes, then keep reading.

Macramé is an enjoyable craft to attempt, and you can begin with a small spending plan. There are many affordable or complimentary patterns offered, and some excellent how-to-do books to help you start. This would be the best craft to get your kids, grandchildren, or anybody associated with it.

It originated from Arab weavers sometime in the thirteenth century. Arab weavers tied excess threads on the edge of hand-woven fabrics in a decorative knot. Macramé was also crucial for sailors as they knotted to make ship parts, bottles, and even knife covers.

It is interesting to think that something your grandma left when she'd been sixteen might pertain to a today sixteen-year-old daughter.

Macramé is a very versatile craft. It has been used in the manufacture of many types of jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, and chokers. It is also used in making everyday objects such as hammocks, hangers, and curtains.

There are some Macramé bases that you'll need to know to start you off. If you've never tried Macramé earlier, some of the more complicated designs might be intimidating to test. Macramé hanging plant holders are the best method to learn the fundamentals, try it, and feel the excitement along with the fulfillment.

Stop reading, Start Doing

I like that the intro gave a brief history of when knots were used. The macramé projects were also unique and I haven’t seen them in other macramé books. Already made one with the shirt style macrame.
