(1) Elise's superiority, and I have no other word. (although it's strange to see her being all obedient and robotic in the past when she was with Mori on the battlefield)

(2) Dostoevsky wants his subordinates to work on their own and work well without his assistance! Okay, I want to know did he pay said subordinates well enough to work on their own without help!? LOL

(3) Fuck, Mori is such a creep, I mean...just don't let any cute little girl anywhere near him, just don't!

(4) Ranpo is such a sweetheart, as usual. *sob sobs*

(5) I have to be honest, I don't like the Hunting Dogs characters all that much, not that it's because they are the 'bad guys' in this era, but because...it's a bit complicated but I don't like their character's setting and their motivation all that much. I mean, only one of them has much of a personal reason to go after the ADA, just one, damn it!

(6) I guess I have been spoiled by the anime series for too long so right now one volume of manga can hardly feel enough! What a shame!

(7) Yasano's backstory is so painful to look at! T______T *sob sobs*

(8) I seriously need to continue watching the anime series~

PS: and there is an extra short story (some kind of mock-new-story-teaser) about H. P. Lovecraft, Mushitarō Oguri, Motojirō Kajii and Katai Tayama (they are humorously described as 'The Ones Who Are the Most Unlikely to Become the Main Characters/Heroes') teaming up to save the world with occultism knowledge, powers of the Great Old Ones, a lot of bombs and a great deal of hiding under the blanket. LOL

Kajii: That's a joke! There's no God! The occultists have plotted and waited for nothing!

Lovecraft: No, there are gods. I know them.

On I go to the next volume!

Oh, this volume hit me right in the feels.

I have been wanting more Yosano for a while because she is so cool and getting her backstory and more focus on her was really cool. She feels like one of the pillars of the Agency so diving deeper into her character was excellent. It certainly made me more obsessed with her.

Not only were the Yosano parts amazing but everything that went down in this volume had me either in tears or with my jaw on the floor.

“I’m sure Kunikida-san would get angry at me, saying that I shouldn’t waste my strength helping every poor soul I run into. But, I just can’t. When I see someone in pain, they all look like in the past. And I just can’t let them go.”

Honestly, I feel like this volume had so much going on, so much happening at the same time, while it all happened in such a short amount of time that it didn't exactly move the plot forward much but it gave great context and more depth to characters.

I was genuinely blown away by most of it and could hardly put it down.

From beginning to end things just continue to become more and more complicated and my anxiety sky-rockets with every passing second.

I'm defeated.

I've been murmuring "what the fuck" for 5 minutes straight while trying to wrap my head around what the fuck is actually happening!



I'm honestly so done, every last feeling and emotion squeezed out of me like juice from a goddamn lemon. Whatever was left of my heart after Attack on Titan and the dark turn in Jujutsu Kaisen which took me completely off guard, this manga had successfully shredded into tiny ribbons. I didn't expect Bungo Stray Dogs betray me like this as well...

It was supposed to be this perfect middle ground; the action-packed, mystery manga with an awesome bunch of characters on both sides, involved in conspiracies and explosive rivalries that are not as dark as they might seem, and the only source of tragedy were the character's tough backgrounds. But other than that, it was not supposed to make me even a bigger mess than I've already been because all my favourite mangas are suddenly killing people off, or raising the stakes and making me scared witless who else is going to die.


Kafka Asagiri and Gege Akutami are swiftly reaching Isayama-sensei's level. I mean, good for them because the man's a genius, though in terms of evil... Knock it down a notch, guys, okay, I can only compute with one Satan in my life. And also, could you be more considerate of my heart??!

Damn! Like, I'm loving this, I'm so invested in the story and the character that I might sue if the Decay of Angels arc doesn't get an anime adaptation soon., though at the same time I just want to curl up into a ball and die because we are nowhere near the end and the shit is already hitting the fan.

And I honestly can't tell if I'll be able to take this...

I have no words...

I was spoiled for a lot of this because I’ve seen things about Yosano’s backstory and the identity of the Fifth Hunting Dog (I’m purposefully being vague so that others don’t get spoiled as well), but I never knew that everything connected quite like this. It’s...wow.

Also, what’s the deal with the pointless censorship here? BSD deals with extremely dark themes and violence, and yet it’s the cursing the translators are worried about? It doesn’t make sense.

And also, Ango needs a break.

Chapters 64~68 : Hunting Dogs Arc [End]
After this volume, I proudly passed the "on the edge of my seat" stage and upgraded to level "sprawled on the floor".

Dostoyevsky : Shall we have a super happy chit-chat about our problems !?
Dazai : ... What The Fuck.

Someone managed to stump Dazai for words !!

This volume was such a rollercoaster. It started goofy with Dazai and Dostoevsky playing each other, then took a very dark turn with Yosano's background story.. Just what kind of monster are you Mori-san !?
And just when I started thinking "that guy looks kinda similar", he played the big-bro card !!! 16 volumes in and now you're telling me HE's the 5th member of The Hunting Dogs ?!!!

Not a good way to start the review of a book but whatever! Asagiri hit me hard in this volume and I’m still recovering!
There is no end to this misery, I don’t know what Asagiri is planning to do with Agency and Mafia members but whatever it is, it’s NOT GOOD!
A lot is happening in these volumes and there are lot’s of point of views, I think it’s a bit confusing! (Or simply I can’t keep up with the story 🥲)

Lo peor de todo es que mi asco hacia Mori sigue, mi rencor a Dazai igual pero con Tachi no puedo generar sentimientos de ira, odio, rencor, desagrado ~ sólo me siento muy dolida

Y la cosa aquí es que Mori es otro personaje gris más y creo que no me disgustaría tanto del todo sino fuera pedófilo, porque al fin y al cabo Mori puede definirse con la frase “el fin justifica los medios”, cada acción por más turbia que sea, lo ha hecho en parte para mantenerse en el poder pero igual por la ciudad y encontrar “un balance”, por algo Natsume le dejó la ciudad a él y a Fukuzawa, pero Mori no se mide en sus métodos y eso a Fukuzawa ya no le gustó. Mori al igual que otros personajes que igual tienen su lado malo, hay varios a los que se les justifica sus acciones, otros que son grises, algunos que ya se están redimiendo, otros que tienen más lado malo que bueno pero se les quiere igual porque a uno se le da la gana quererlos, pero Mori es pedófilo y eso no puede hacer que llegue a valorarlo, sobre todo con lo de Yosano, quitemos ese lado del trauma que sufrió siendo una niña, suena cruel decirlo pero Mori la usó como un arma más así como ha usado a mucha gente, ajá PERO POR QUÉ LA TENÍA QUE ACOSARLA ASÍ DIOS QUE ASCO, entiendo el concepto de matar/destruir mentalmente/usar etc a uno para salvar a miles pero ESO QUE TENÍA QUE VER CON ACOSARLA BASTA
