Okay, this really floated my boat on the sex and kinky erotic side, Joanna, main character, in control and doing well career wise, suddenly finds a casual sex friendship and simultaneously a mystery group leading her into a world of BDSM kink and swinger parties, but never knowing who is behind what she calls the Continuum. This is well named.

Corporal punishment from her first experience, progresses, with different characters in control using different implements from spanking to paddles, hairbrushes and more, includes restraints and bondage at times.
There's sexual play and practices from middle aged to younger proponents and some very erotic sexual action including m/f f/f m/m and ménage as well as large polygamist party.

Negatives, it's a bit dated, I think 1990's, character development could be improved upon, and discerning readers will find some niggly editing issues, despite this being professionally edited by a well known company. Missing out use of the word - an preceding words with vowel starts, for example. No reference to sexual health or condom use...and to be honest these are dangerous games to play without condom protection.

But the story for me was good, titillating, arousing and in my opinion very erotic. Hence the four stars from me.

This was a first read for me revolving around "enjoyable punishment", and while I must say that it would never become a reality for me...the fantasy definitely works ;) for those of you that enjoy this topic, you certainly won't have to wait until the second half of the book for the punishment (or should I say enjoyment) to begin, it seemed almost non-stop throughout

Joanna works in a high powered profession which can be stressful. When she inadvertently calls an annoying customer a rude name, she is called in to see her boss and someone from HR. Instead of the sack, she is sent to a coastal retreat in order to relax. Whilst there she becomes acquainted with an older couple who introduce her to the delights of spanking. And, it all leads on from there as she becomes further embroiled with a mysterious kinky group she calls the Continuum. If you like a little light kink, this is the book for you. Not brilliant but enough to take my mind of other personal issues.
