Piper Williams is poor. She's always been poor. Like seriously - dirt poor from a small town. But when one of her regular customers at The Greasy Spoon diner gives her the gift of a lifetime, her life changes overnight.
But as with all gifts, there are potential obstacles and hers is named Cameron. The grandson of her now dearly departed customer is thrust upon her, and she's forced to work with a man who seems to despise her from day one. With only six weeks to make it work, Cameron and Piper try to exist in the same house but as with everything in life... things change.
The Whiskey Ridge series is a small town contemporary romance series set in the north Georgia mountains. Each book is a standalone with no cliffhangers!
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
I really enjoyed going back to Whiskey Ridge. Pipes and Cameron's story was better than book one. I'm so excited to go back in the next book. I recommend this series.
Had the potential to be great but just fell flat. The book is pretty rushed and I thought there were issues that were brushed off, just like that. Relationship development's non-existent too. They went from 0 to 180 pretty quickly.
Piper is a waitress in a rundown diner, trying to make ends meet for herself and her son. Cameron is trying to find a way to save his struggling business in NYC. What do they have in common? They both loved his grandmother Lola, and after her death her plans to get them together has worked, they really do want to kill each other. Can they find the future that was meant for them, read and find out.
Wow, I so loved this book! Just one disappointment, I wanted it to continue on . It just ended way to soon. Especially after being so stressed out about Johnny appearing back in the sene. I would love for you to make a series of books on Cameron and Piper. Such a beautiful story.
Piper is a single mother working a minimum wage job in dead end town. Her luck changes when a beloved customer leaves her an amazing bequest. The problem is that the other heir is the grndson Cameroon who is insufferable. When an unexpected visitor throws everything into turmoil, they re forced to work together.
I really enjoyed this second book in the series. These books are like a novella, but they are fun to read. I enjoyed the characters in the story like my only problem with them. Is that the characters from the previous books don’t carry over I really miss that about this series, I love being able to follow the characters from book the book.
This is the second book in the Whiskey Ridge series. I have loved all of Ms. Hanna’s books so far. This was a cute story but it was a little harder for me to get into. I do love happy endings and romance and this had both. I do look forward to reading book 3 in this series.
I always enjoy Rachel Hanna books. They are always feel good, overcomer, with basically no spice. This is the same. I will say that this was a bit more predictable than most of her others, but not in a bad way. I feel like some specifics were left out, but that didn’t really impact the overall story.
I never fail to breathe a heavy contended sigh when I finish one of her books. Romantic, heart-warming, great characters, some strife, but always such feel-good tales!
Such a sweet love story sprouted out of a loving grandmother from the grave. She takes her escape into the city grandson and a woman whose man left her after getting pregnant and giving them a country place to share. Quite some matchmaking from the grave. I just loved it.
Ms. Hanna weaves beautiful little stories in glorious settings. My only complaint is the editing. There are too many typos, mashed words and grammatical errors. Getting past that, I enjoy her books.
Piper young, smart, wanting the best for Lucas. Cameron young, wanting to write the world's best novel. Grandmother had a plan based on love. Sweet story. Then there's a hiccup. I'm wishing for a sequel.
Such a good story . I am finding it easy to fall into such affection with Rachel's characters!Looking for a good cozy read that's satisfying and the perfect length? Here ya,go!
These 2 characters were fantastic! I really wish this had been a full length book because there was so much that could have been done with the story. Ending was perfect!
I loved Piper and Cameron on how that they had to work together to keep the house and business. Love the chemistry between them. This series is great and the author is wonderful.
This novella captured me...it's an easy and delightful read. If you enjoy romantic books, this one's for you. In fact, all of Rachel Hanna's writings are engaging. .
